  • I got the idea when I saw the stereo link on the BA330. Basically, it's an output. However, I recommend a decent shotgun microphone instead of the Radio Shack special that I used. My iRig 2 came from Guitar Center. My Roland BA330 came from Zzounds.com

      Bastiaan Anthonie Baaij I bought mine from zZounds.com. They do payments, but they don’t do service plans. The BA330 is a great device that uses AA batteries. But if you’re going to use it outside, take good care of it. And I greatly recommend buying the case. It has wheels.

      @@jazzsax357 thanks I will share it for sure. I can not find it easy in Finland anymore. There is nowdays so much competition. But I guess i will find one if that is what needs to happen. Bless you my music friend. Inviting you too to visit my artist page on: www.reverbnation.com/manupeo
      Be well and enjoy performing.

    Awesome performance? How is the bass response on the Roland?

      EXCELLENT QUESTION! Not bad. But it's nothing to write home about. It's a great all around PA. BUT if you want more bass, a subwoofer wouldn't hurt. There are more expensive PA systems that have more bass but still don't have the versatility of the ba330's inputs and outputs. Personally I wish I had 2.

      By the way I ended up calling this musical piece First Melody. I sped up the tempo and added a drum solo and bass solo.

    How do you think the Roland would handle instruments and vocals in all channels? I basically mean a full 4 or 5 piece band.

    • @jazzsax357
      @jazzsax357  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Mississippi Son it has done ok for me. When I'm downtown, I try to not have my horn go through it. But when I'm gigging, I'll do a vocal mic, a sax mic, my iPad, and my Alesis sr18 if needed. If your venue is larger, I'd recommend having 2.

    Why would you not have just simply used the line outs?

      THAT is an excellent question. The headphone jack on a cell phone is both input and output at the same time, BUT if you plug in a standard 3.5mm tip-ring-sleeve(TRS) plug, it goes to output. The TRS plug is identified by it only having 2 stripes on it. The headphone jack on a will accept it, but it will treat your plug like it is attached to standard not mic headphones. To get sound INTO the phone, you have to access the headphone jack like it’s a microphone jack. To Do This, you have to have a tip-ring-ring-sleeve(TRRS) plug. The TRRS plug is identified by it having 3 stripes. If you compare the plugs on a set of earbuds with no mic and a set of earbuds with a mic, you will see to what I am referring. The iRig2 is a TRRS adapter. It allows whatever you are plugging into your cell phone access to sound INPUT. It was originally designed for people who wanted to plug guitars into their iPhones. I am instead using it to plug in my PA. The iRigPRE also does the same thing, BUT it is designed for mic level. It even has an XLR jack on it. I sincerely hope this answers your question.

      That is my God inspired original music. I'm sorry to say that is not for sale. It's from a piece I call "The First Melody".

      @@manup757 the iRig 2 is what I used at the time, and it is great. Plus it is inexpensive. However, it requires a headphone jack. If you do street performing, and like me you need things to be portable, you might want to consider a USB audio interface or a USB mixer that can be powered by USB. It can do a better job and give you more options. The downside is that they cost more money. Still the 2x2 Focusrite or a Behringer Xenyx 302USB is a good place to start. The BEST small USB mixer I have seen/used is the Alesis Multimix4 USBFX, but it is not USB powered.
