Also I do higher gear shifts @1500-1700rpm (rarely 2000rpm or more unless more pickup required), being as light as possible on the accelerator in city traffic....unless someone starts honking me, LOL! this too gives me anywhere between 10-15kmpl. otherwise gear shifts between 2000-3000rpm in city traffic gives 9-11kmpl. So ultimately your car's upkeep, tire pressure, fuel, road condition, traffic condition and driving style all together have an effect on the fuel efficiency achieved.
most people waste fuel by driving above 120 km/hr on highways and at that speed they are forced to apply hard brakes because of traffic, this will drastically increase fuel consumption. you have given a good insight about driving to extract best fuel economy. all cars will deliver best mileage when they are driven within the range of 70 to 90 km/hr Great video keep it up

This may be possible. The problem is that one cannot drive at very Slow speed like 70-80 on highways like Yamuna Express or Chandigarh express way with a car like Honda City. In Honda City IVTEc model there is a display that shows Average /Litre. but it seems new Honda version became poor in average by adding extra Weight or other electronic features. Today the value is of time and as we know Time = Money. at the speed of 120 Km /hour the car gave an average of 16 Km/litre. Morever going at very slow speed means more Journey time and will make a person more tired at the end of day.
strange... 320 k petrol me 12 km se to zyada hi chalni chahiye car... get ur car checked at the authorized service center... there should be some major problem in ur car... or petrol pump wala bhi cheater ho sakta hai... 320 ka petrol dala hi na ho shayad pump wale ne... !!!
I did same and got mileage of around 30kms... Then i found that even after fuel indicator was showing full tank, we added around 15ltr of petrol. I request you to pls do this by adding limited fuel in ur car tank and not by topping up the tank.
guys, even my car gives the same mileage, reason behind is we fill our tank completely full, this means over filled, even after the gauge shows full we won't stop filling petrol. so the petrol will get filled up to petrol cap. Also he says 70 to 80 kmps, which gives good fuel efficiency.
But driving with only 70-80 km/h will. For example i drove my 179 km on cruise control set to 120 km/h and my car needed around 10.1 L/ per 100 km. If i set it at 75 wich is the lowest i can get in 6th gear without getting to low on revs. I got 5.9 L/100 km wich is 3 L under factory specification (8.9 L /100 km). It is possible. But only works if you can go a constant low speed wich is not the case for most trips. The other extreme is going full throttle for a long period of time. I got around 22 L /100 km with an average speed of around 180 km/h (Germany Autobahn only driving the speed limit where it was restricted and the rest flat out 260 km/h where traffic allowed it). the same 179 back. The factor speed has a giant impact on consumption wich is more important then everything else. even 20 km/h can make quite a difference.

I was majorly driving in 5th gear... 18-20 is also a nice mileage. If u will try to follow the tips given in the video you will surely get a better mileage.!

Actually it’s not fake or he fitted CNG guys, Petrol pump guys ll fill the tank till top of lid, coz of that it take a lot time to get down from F, once it get down from F it ll get down fast. Coz of that once he covered 200KM it started getting down fast.

First get that car checked by your mechanic... he can have a better idea about the condition of the car. And is it a VTEC model ? Vtec is a better engine... 2.5 lac is a good deal if the condition of the car is good... also check tire conditions.

Good to see the same car of mine i got a max of 17 kmpl in highways but yes you are quite right on your tips...i drive quite rash and zoom in the roads but still i makeit more than 14 in highways and 9+ in city.. this Vtech model has a variable timing engine if we tune it quite well we can get the best of it..
all petrol cars now a days equipped with variable timing engines bro... but give it a different names like maruti calls it vvt engine, hyundai calls it vtvt, honda calls it vtec, Toyota calls it something else and etc... for me if a petrol car gives more than 16kmpl overall I would be more than happy...

It's not possible to get an average of 27kmpl but it can give near about 20 because VTEC engine is designed such that it gives performance+average both the rule and working of enigne is if you drive at low rpm you will get good average and if you want performance then it has the maximum potential of 7600rpm so if you want the VTEC kick just accelerate the pedal

In older cars fuel measuring float sensor shows wrong reading on the fuel indication dial. First of all fuel indicator keep on showing full after driving atleast 100 km. Than it has tendency to go down quickly.

How i increase my fuel economy: with my 125cc daily work moped i can have both option$ (fast and fuel economy) i use only 6 or 7 gallons/ month. Less car maintenance. My car is for the weekends with family or rainy weather
this mileage can be achieved only on toll road without speed breaker and have to drive less than 80 kmph. with 2 passenger . it's ridiculous. renault sucks in mileage . my ten year civic car gives that mileage of I drive like that. else you will get mileage around 14 on regular Indian roads

Actually it’s not fake or he fitted CNG guys, Petrol pump guys ll fill the tank till top of lid, coz of that it take a lot time to get down from F, once it get down from F it ll get down fast. Coz of that once he covered 200KM it started getting down fast.

Constant Speed no Breaking Keep RPM near to 2 can do anything I also get same mileage on my Honda City 2006 IDSi 8 Plug engine. First get that car checked by your mechanic... he can have a better idea about the condition of the car. And is it a VTEC model ? Vtec is a better engine... 2.5 lac is a good deal if the condition of the car is good... also check tire conditions.

Good to see the same car of mine i got a max of 17 kmpl in highways but yes you are quite right on your tips...i drive quite rash and zoom in the roads but still i makeit more than 14 in highways and 9+ in city.. this Vtech model has a variable timing engine if we tune it quite well we can get the best of it..

It's not possible to get an average of 27kmpl but it can give near about 20 because VTEC engine is designed such that it gives performance+average both the rule and working of enigne is if you drive at low rpm you will get good average and if you want performance then it has the maximum potential of 7600rpm so if you want the VTEC kick just accelerate the pedal

actually he is fake, he has filled full tank at 132kms and then rode till 274kms to reach destination. so kms travelled is 142kms. fuel consumed is 10.21 ltrs. so mileage is around 14. this is the correct figure.

Check your fuel tank float. In aome car it tend to lower very fast after 150 km. Calculate milage on tank full to full

In older cars fuel measuring float sensor shows wrong reading on the fuel indication dial. First of all fuel indicator keep on showing full after driving atleast 100 km. Than it has tendency to go down quickly.

this mileage can be achieved only on toll road without speed breaker and have to drive less than 80 kmph. with 2 passenger . it's ridiculous. renault sucks in mileage . my ten year civic car gives that mileage of I drive like that. else you will get mileage around 14 on regular Indian roads
