Ok, OMG! This video is completely heartwarming for anyone who knows what unloading a suitcase coming from Africa is like. You guys have been completely spoiled by your dad. I don’t even know where to start 😂. First off, I’m currently using the exact yellow African bath sponge as your dad’s. Kareem looks super handsome in the thobe! Kenton turned Hausa quick 😂. Mariam looks sooooo beautiful in her boubou. I can’t wait to see you wearing your stuff. He even brought the leather cushions!! I know you’ll love having that in your home. When he said “kina lafiya” to Mariam, I wanted her to say “lafiya lau” so bad. That would have made his day 😂. You can tell he’s so happy to see you, and it’s amazing that he apparently still holds your mom dear in his heart. Uff, too much to write. Habiba, thank you for sharing this with us. Can you tell I’m a little happy for you all. Bless you guys.
@SentimentalCrab, your comment is beautiful. The vlog and your comment warmed my heart and brought tears to my eyes. I know how precious daughters are to their dad's. I lost mine 15 years ago. I am a Nigerian too. Born in Jos but, from the South West. I can still speak Hausa, kadan kadan but, understand it to a certain degree. You're blessed, my sisters.
Your daddy is so sweet. He has a good heart. Meeting you after so long yet he feels so comfortable and at home with everyone. God bless you all in Jesus name

What a beautiful man your father is...... I loved this video. Absolutely priceless your fathers love is. Gorgeous gifts for everyone, I love Nigerians.

Thanks for explaining why he's not staying at your home (I was wondering). I am looking forward to part 2. I enjoyed this video!
You are such a good person for welcoming your father back into your life. It is also obvious that your father is a good person, flawed and trying to make amends. What I found interesting is that your father was younger when you left than you are now. It is true that in some parts of Northern Nigeria (in the past), firstborns did not usually have a relationship with their mothers. I wonder what effects that had on subsequent emotional relationships of the firstborn. I can understand your mother's hurt.
I am from sokoto and I know your father's family very well. In fact, I believe we are related. I have heard many stories about your family and how you left and no one heard from you again. I am so happy to have come across this video. All the best! :)

Quite impressive, I couldn't stop smiling all through while watching this video. As a filmmaker, we have a lot in common, I felt really emotionally connected. The Christmas card you sent to your dad was signed on my birthday, when I turned 18 (2 years older than you, I believe) and the same year I finished my secondary school. I am an Igbo and a christian, who grew up among Hausas in Cameroon and I speak fluent Hausa. I really have a huge amount of respect to your dad, seeing him showing you that well preserved Christmas card, as a Northern Nigerian muslim, wow! Respect! Thats how we should all see and treat religion. I hope he enjoyed his visit. Wish him well for me and thank you and your lovely family for sharing this fantastic video. Looking forward to see Miriam's directed movie or documentary in the near feature stay blessed.
There was a scene of your dad and you smiling at Maryam, like identical twins, you both smile the same. I love the relationship, one of the beauties of life is forgiveness, your relationship with your dad is great and can only get better
U see he still loves his wife. This is a good father. I wish he lives long to see his great grands. He went on a shopping spree for his daughter and grand kids. Ohhh why are families seperated? Why???
I really love this. Wow, he spent a lot of money shopping for you guys. That's our fathers' way of making it up to us. I schooled in the North, so I understand your culture well. I left my dad too in similar circumstances and didn't see him for over 20 years before he passed. I didn't speak to him for many years, but we eventually reconnected and he tried hard to repair our relationship, even begged me to come home to visit, but I couldn't forget the hurt and trauma he caused. I was too far gone to care that people evolve. I don't blame your mom or dad for their decisions. One was a slave to tradition and one was a slave to emotion. God give us the wisdom to not be bound by either and to make right decision at the right time. God bless you and your family!

I’m so happy and proud for you to have rediscovered each other. I’m Nigerian from south East and your dad reminds of my dad when he came to America to visit us. Great vlog. Do more update with your dad.
You guys better appreciate those clothes and put them on with pride! they are damn expensive, He’s a proud man and definitely value his family!!! Bless him, I wish my Dad is still alive to visit me here. He doesn’t even need to bring any gifts😀! I won’t let him go back.... I miss him real bad. I’m sure my children will do too.
Watching this made me emotional. My Dad also had a rich past and was very kind with gifts. Also had similar mannerisms with your Dad but sadly he passed last year at 76yrs. Around this age, all they have to give is love and just want to see you happy. My Dad insisted on paying the first proper fees of my kids and would often gift my siblings large cash sums and we had no choice but to accept them to avoid a quarrel. I hardly ever comment on TH-cam videos but was moved to do so. Shalom Sister and thanks for sharing your experience.
Today is the day! look out for the next few videos! There is more to this story !! Also please see description box above to my social media links and to products you may like . Thank you!
I have to say this, despite the way things went your dad truly loves you and dare i say probably still loves ypur mo.. This made me cry, he was holding onto you and it warmed my heart. I am so grateful and happy for you for the reconciliation. Its unfortunate culture and traditions prevent people from loving the way they should or want. Happy you were open to this and i feel your dad will be so happy.Forgiveness is truly a wonderful gift. And oh love northners, what a gentleman and so charismatic. Ok back to watch. Only reached the ride from the airport

Priceless moment, happy for you .
Beautiful and emotional video, i have made a mental note to spend more time with my parents after watching this. I am hooked to your channel from now on. Greetings from Abuja. 💝
I cried watching this yesterday.. it is a beautiful story.. your mom is a strong women
she is, and i think he secretly admires her for her courage. things would have turned out differently.
Heart warming....our African fathers...you're very lucky to spend time with your your FATHER...MAY GOD BLESS HIM YOU AND YOUR FAMILY...
What a beautiful reunion ! I watched your story first ! Then I watched your dad at your home seeing your mom ! This one is a tear jerker , He came with so many gifts . Peace and Blessings to your family
Thank you for watching!
Kryptoneyo Okogbe. He is a generous man. And very thoughtful coming with loads of gifts 🎁. God bless him. Nigerians don’t visit empty handed.
You just made me cry...I miss my dad real bad
He is in a good place Oko..
Sending you hugs
Omolabake Agunbiade 💙
Why being rude? Just can't appreciate without any poor judgment.
I do understand how u feeling my German sister went to Ghana last year to celebrate my Dads 70th birthday with him and she only saw our dad when she was 4 yrs ,she is 40 years now .Father,s never forget their children. My dad lost contact with my step sister because her mum married another man and relocated .My dad always kept a picture of our sister and always told us about her and ended up finding us on the internet by uploading my dads old pic her mum gave her
Really miss my dad watching your video. I love and miss you dad. Continue to rest in bosom of God😔
Kenton & Habiba, you so blessed. I’m glad you welcome your dad with open arms. Blessings to you & your family! 👏🏾💥❤️😍😘🎈🌹🎁😃
Olah Ola, may GOD comfort you. 👏🏾I’m fatherless & motherless too. Their memories linger. Blessings! 👏🏾😍😘🌹
Nice one... Thanks to you for still holding up ur Nigerian heritage..... sanu
How beautiful, your father filled his suitcase with gifts for you his daughter, family and grandchildren. BEAUTIFUL 💖💖💖💖🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
You have a warm, wonderful loving father, he reminds me of my dad. He brought a whole suitcase full of gifts. Watching your video made me smile and proud to be Hausa, love the way Baba said “bude wanan” and you said bude means open.😍 love you and your family. Habiba is a beautiful name💕 Masha Allah, that my mum’s name. Bless her soul.
Waoooo Mariam looks so very beautiful in those African clothes, even your son & hubby too looks very great in those African wears. Happy & lovely to see grandpa, father inlaw & most of all your handsome tall father. God Almighty bless u all. Again big congratulations seeing grandpa, inlaw and father
This brought tears to my eyes. I am in the same situation and look forward to my reunion soon
Nigeria Culture the best....Best TH-cam Video ever
Please share it!
I really hope your mom took the gifts, as a Nigerian, i know a lot of care went into picking those out. Loving the videos by the way. Such a wholesome video.
This was Beautiful. You look like both your mom and dad. Your kids all look like both you and there dad.
I enjoyed this vlog and I had a big smile on your face when your mom showed up to the reunion. It's so beautiful to have family reunite after so many years. It looks like you all had a great time together. It seems your brother was a little hesistant to hug his dad but understandibly so. Thanks for sharing :)
Your dad went crazy with the buying. How lovely!!! wow. Beautiful family Habiba.
Nigerian nature
@@royroyroy7293 I'm tellin u!
Girl you look just like your father ♥️
Subhanallah. Your dad must really love your mum and your family. He must have spent more than $5000 on your shopping. Trust me , I know cos I am a Nigerian. That gold alone costs up to $3k. Cherish them and the giver. I love your cheerful heart, and you have a lovely family.
Shukurat Dabiri that gold melt my heart
a ha ha ha and she doesn't seem to know the value....lol
Avala she probably knew
That's why she was asking where it was made.
Shukurat Dabiri
@@avyarima you guys are more interested in the value than what actually happened. She missed a relationship with her father, he tried to to express his regret by lavishing them with gifts, if she's still bitter it's okay, it's a process
I love this video. You can feel the love you all have for each other. Your dad seems like such a nice man. God bless
Habiba, I am happy for, you mine passed Dec.15th 2018 , was suppose to be here this month.
Make the best of it.
this video is awesome! i am proud of all of you for being so simple and respectful especially your kids. you and your husband really try in training your kids. Mariah looks so pretty on an African attire. much love from Nigeria
Your dad is from northern Nigeria. An Arewa man. Hausa or Fulani. Most likely Hausa. I am a Yoruba man from the South west. He definitely loves you and showered you and your family with gifts
He looked so proud watching his grandson put on his clothes... this is really nice! Peace and blessings
I just witness love. God bless you all for sharing these moments.
Im done hugging your channel hope you hug my home too😘😘😘😘😘❤️
Your father is so sweet. Good bless him
Oh,thank you for sharing your story with your TH-cam family that's nice.
It was touching to see you holding hands with your father. Maybe there would be less bitter and unforgiving people in the world if they wouldn't hold onto past hurt or disappointments from parents.
Its nice you had a reconciliation with your Dad after all this years.
Very sweet, you were always on his mind. He had the card and old pictures. Very thoughtful
Why am I so emotional watching this? The Christmas card from 1986 broke me..
Why am I tearing up on seeing the card 😭
I thought he is a Muslim
@@JHKanus He is Muslim but his daughter who sent he card to him practiced the Faith of her Mother I believe.
