Very well said Habiba 👏. Personally, I believe that it is very important to have a one on one relationship with God. I am a Christian and I can attest to the fact that when I need Him, He is always there for me

Loved your content! I went from one denomination to another and was confused with the theatrics, manipulations and lies i saw in churches, i really felt like giving up on churches and Did for a while in my heart. I soon realized that i couldn't give up on God because though the church failed, Jesus never did so I held on to him, and God began blessing me.

Videos like this is the reason I love this channel. In 2015, while I was going through a Toughtime, I felt like all I had was prayer. I will never forget looking up saying Lord help. In that moment, I heard something on the inside of me say I will establish you. God has been teaching me since that day the difference between religion and relationship. I have always love the church but it could be here today gone tomorrow (the pandemic). When I started to talk to God like He's my father and not a judge, I was able to break the chains of religion and worship Him not just in church but anywhere #thebestfatherintheworld

...it seems that God shows up after we have showed out, or have done all we could do. Accordingly, how insulting it would be to take our lot away from us before we know ourselves, our greatness. There will always be The Reminder.

For those of us that read the Bible, the nature of these "churches" reflects what God actually says: In the last days, there will be a " falling away." To me, that only boosts my Faith and belief in my God. These happenings prove that he is indeed God who is the ONLY one that see the future, and cannot lie.

Habiba, thanks for this chat. I was born in Nigeria into the Roman Catholic faith, brought up and do attends Church every Sunday. This happened, being the first Child of my Parents and sickly, my Parents taught us in this way, that, there's someone, who we did not see but had a Supernatural power to bless us, protect, guard and guide us and I especially because I was born with Sickle cell anemia. My late Husband too was a practicing Catholic and that is the way, we thought, our Son should go that way also and was an Altar boy from age 8. Now that, he's a young man, who can make a choice of his own, l don't force him to go to Church every Sunday. Personally, I believed one should follow his or her mind. I believed religion is sacrificing and should come from your heart and not being force into. Thank you for posting this sensitive subject and sharing your amazing family.

Good morning from New Orleans, Louisiana. You asked a question about whether or not organized religion will continue to remained existence in the US. Organized Religion will continue to exist but not how we view it now. I’m a church leader in a non-demonization church with Southern Baptist roots. My focus has always been on my relationship with God and not on any affiliation with any denomination. The word tells us that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. I believe in the holy trinity and the gospel. I’m not responding here to judge, shame or criticize anyone, but let you know fellowship with other believers will strengthen your journey with God. Faith building is a process. The way you build is by prayer, fellowship and reading the gospel yourself. Thank you for sharing this awesome video. Remember, there are all types of Christians. The question is do they know God…..🙏🏽

Thank you Habiba! I grew up in the south and although my parents did not attend church, my mom taught me to pray and my grandmother took me to her church. I had a lot of trials, abuse and hurt growing up but when I was 8, I prayed to God that I would not die without knowing him. I didn't get much out of church. The segregation, the oppression/diminishing of women, the "showmanship" without a message, the abuses of authority, etc. were turnoffs. Fast forward through many years where I searched for God in the form of Christianity and then in the form of metaphysics (oracle, crystals, law of attraction). I dissociated myself from any organized religion. But while practicing metaphysics, even one of the people who was an "esteemed " teacher of metaphysics renounced it and became a Christian. I ignored that and continued on the metaphysical path for years. I even dabbled in "working with angels" to cast spells. I thought that working with angelic power was more palatable somehow than straight wicca or ocult practices as I could think of myself as a "good witch" in a sense because I still believed in God and angels.
The whole time, my life was a mess. I was confused, embroiled by pain, sadness, health issues and no matter how much I practiced law of attraction techniques or prayer with oracle, my life was in the gutter. I had 3 surgeries back to back and while I had some measure of career success, nothing else in my life worked. Not relationships, not the level of career success and purpose I truly wanted but couldn't attain, not my health. None of my dreams were coming to pass to make a difference in the world, find true love, have a family of my own. No matter how hard I worked, tried, prayed or believed, no opportunities came. Every door usually closed...or if it opened at all, it opened to something that looked good on the surface but only led to more stress and despair. I was depressed and had contemplated suicide. The hatred in my heart and bitterness toward the "traditional" view of God grew so much because I couldn't understand why he "allowed" me and others to be born into hurt and abuse. I even contemplated moving into the occult at that point: voodoo and working with the Jiin to cast darker spells against those who harmed me in recent years and the past.
But the one thing I noticed during all that time was that when I was truly in trouble or near death and I called on the "ascended masters" like Kuan Yin, Rumi, Isis, and others, nothing happened. The last straw was early 2023 when my paralyzed vocal cord (that occurred as a result of thyroid surgery) caused me to start choking and I couldn't breathe. I called out to the "Divine Mother" and stumbled out to my front porch to try to get air. I had my phone in my hand but I couldn't get enough oxygen to make a call plus I was terrified. Then, I croaked out the word "Jesus" and I began to get air. From that day forward, I gave my life to Christ and my life has changed. The funny thing is, my circumstances haven't changed much...and some of them are tough and not happy...but I CHANGED! My health has improved and my relationships are better. I've experienced multiple instances of God's favor being shown to me even in the storm. And I truly forgave those who harmed me! I feel not one ounce of hatred anymore even after being tested many times. I do not go to church. I do talk to God, read scripture and declare God's word over my life daily. And I do get a lot out of one "TV preacher's" messages in particular but I won't mention his name because I know (and have compassion for) the fact that many people (including me) have been triggered by, abused by and turned off by organized religion.
I believe that God has a plan for everyone who loves Him and seeks him. No matter how lost you feel or seem, He will seek you until you answer and return unto Him. ❤

I enjoyed your video and appreciate the topic. Religion and the issue of faith is becoming increasingly complicated. I was raised a PK (preacher’s kid) and understand the responses you received from each of your children. My husband and I are empty nesters now and JUST LAST NIGHT I asked my son if he would agree to go to church this weekend and HE SAID YES! The kicker is he lives 1000 miles from home, so it’s huge for him to go on his own. We shall see. Today is Friday, two days to Sunday.❤ Thanks so much for sharing this part of your story.

Thank you for this post. Personally, I see a direct correlation between the significant drop in families attending church and the general deterioration of families across the country. I just don't know which came first. It seems so many families have become fractured, disassociated, and function in silos. What happened to family dinners? Family activities? It's sad to me, really. Though I don't attend church often, I was raised in the Catholic church and have a strong personal faith. I speak with God very often, thank Him for my blessings and reach out to Him in need. I pray for others daily. What you said is true- religion gives you hope. I don't believe you have to go to church to have a relationship with God, but it's nice to go from time to time to recharge your battery and for the experience of seeing people gathered together in peace, seeking peace, seeking God's love and refocusing on being a good person and carrying God in your heart. It's nice sometimes to just unplug and listen.

I am of the same perspective, and truly know God is my source. I glorify his presence in my life. As parents we want our children to recognize and acknowledge that there is a higher power. As they go through their young adult life they may move away from organized/ conventional religion. In my family, we are witnessing the return in them finding their way to their spiritual self; into non denominational and international places etc., of worship, and for us/ me that’s a welcome and grateful blessing.

I searched youtube for sermons dealing with issues my teen and i was dealing with. I found teachings she was able to identify with. I don't often go to my church now, i continue to listen to sermons and music online...Life Church is a good service i like listening to and my relationship with my God continues to flourish and i pray my daughter's foundation grows.

When I start watching you it was because of your temu haul. But one night I saw a video of you meeting your father for the first time in thirty years oh my God your reaction to him his reaction to you was so overwhelming but what really really blessed my heart was when your brother came and I seen the way he and his father hugged one another but I saw in his father's eyes the regret the sorriness for not being there but I also saw the rejoice and finally seeing his son again.. the awesome awesome surprise of the whole event your mother it's a very strong woman in spite of of hurt. I was so happy to see her make the decision to come there to see your father I started crying. God is so awesome he will fix any situation if we have the desire for him to do so. My prayer is that your oldest brother allow God to soften his to see his father again. To sum it up and I know this is so important it teaches us how to come together in unity. ❤❤❤

Habiba this was a powerful vlog. I relate to everything you’ve said here. So happy for you and your family that you found a church that you were comfortable with. I believe God belongs to all of us. I believe that which is good within me is what I can call God. I have been schooled in Convents, worked in Church organisations , volunteered in Church schools, hospitals and church charities. I have eventually been disillusioned by the politics in religion. When I try to reconcile my feeling about organised religion all I can recall is the trauma from witnessing the news of over more that 918 men, women and children ‘believers’ were poisoned by Reverend Jim Jones in Guyana in November 1978 in first weeks whilst I nursed my new born. 🙏🏿💜🙏🏿. If that isn’t enough I co tinge to witness atrocities in organised religions. Religious wars killing millions as we speak. I rest my case.

I don't really know how to feel about church anymore...Growing up, every week my mom would take us to church...now I hardly every attend church anymore, but I will always had a special relationship and believe in the Most High GOD. The last time I attend church was when my mom visit me for her birthday time in Mar 2023, then July 30th I got the worst phone call of my life, still in disbelief but only God has given me the strength to deal with that news...then on Aug 2023 I attend church again for my dear mom's funeral...I haven't seen church again, but I still connect with God on a daily basis...Life is tough, but God's love is stronger...And I'm so happy I can always lean on God in good or bad times.

The church is people, as such there is a melting pot of diversity. I believe fellowship is important as much as is having a personal relationship with God.

True Christianity is not a religion. It’s a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. He is our savior who gave his life on the cross for our sins. If we accept and put our trust and faith in him. He will direct our paths. He’s the way the truth and the life. Organize religion, legalisms with rules and regulations meaning man made laws and rules, greed gospel etc is what turning away young people. I focus on Jesus not man. Thy didn’t died for my sins. I rest in Jesus and his finish work on the cross. If anything else or man could save us God the father wouldn’t have to send his son to die for us. But Because of the fall of Adam and Eve in the garden, The cross was the only way we could be redeemed back into relationship with him. Everything else is a distraction. That’s what the enemy of our soul wants us to do to take our focus off Jesus. Jesus died for the whole world so we can have eternal life. Life begins after death. It’s either heaven or hell where people will truly spend eternity. But everyone has a free will to accept or reject him. He’s not going to force people to accept him. But at the same time he’s not willing that anyone should perish for he loves us all. Even those who reject him. We all will stand before him one day because he’s going to judge everyone. The judgement seat of Christ for those who are in Christ and the great white throne judgement for those who reject him. I know people going to read my comment and not believe it but go read the Bible for yourself. Read John 3:16. Revelation 20:11-15. 27:58 Matthew 24:27-39. 2 Peter 3:8-10 Jeremiah 17:9 Exodus 20:3-5 in no particular order.

I love fellowship and songs with other believers but I also have a personal relationship with God that works for me.
He gives me infinite wisdom and protection through this life. Also he has a sense of humor and I feel he laughs at us and with us to help us get through.
I would say God is about 7000 years old so he has seen it all so I trust him. I enjoy your content Mrs. Habiba and family and always be blessed.

I was raised in a Baptist church. I now have a quite different perspective. I just took for granted that what I was taught was true. I am now 68 years old, and have searched the Holy Scriptures for myself. Denominations are man-made. We should all be followers of Our Heavenly Father. He created us in his image and we are to follow him in spirit and in truth. I am now a follower of my Heavenly Father and all that that entails. He is the only one! I continue to search the this scriptures to show myself appoved before him. He is Love. I love you.

There is a big difference between religion and our relationship with God, that is way more important. It is very hard for a lot of us to find the right church where we can grow and mean something in our community. But all those ego's to navigate through...challenging! Yet love is everything dear Habiba, keep on being the light sister! The lack of love and humbleness will lead all of us astray. If we value our own self more, this is the very fabric that will lead us astray. Never forget: Money is the root of all evil. We are blessed so that we can bless others. Not to fly around in privately owned jets.

From the title I almost didn't watched but it's important to LISTEN to what people are saying. I am encouraged to know that God is about relationships, first with him and then with your neighbor. When you receive LOVE from GOD you extend it to others to build healthy relationships.

Habiba we never know how much we need God, until we get in those places where he’s the only answer and way out…yes, he’s our Hope! Sadly, not all will come into that knowledge of truth..
Heaven will look exactly like what you saw in that church, every nation, tribe and tongue! You gave a good analogy of the church you see today, but take heart, the church will survive whatever we see, it’s the bride of Christ, it will prevail…
As you draw closer to God, seek and read the manual he’s given us, you will get more understanding of His purpose and agenda for this Kingdom or Cosmos… 💕🙏🏽

I feel the same way. Your kids, with each of their opinions, all resonate with me. When I was a child, I went to a Protestant church and learned about the Bible and God enough to give me some faith and values. I stopped attending pretty young though because I have never really felt that comfortable in church. Sadly, some of the worst people I know, are regulars. I can’t stand a hypocrite. When I married a Cajun man and had our son, him and his whole family are devout Catholics. We divorced when Mitchell was 3 but I made Mitch attend Catechism every Tuesday to give him a religion. He rarely went after he finished his senior year.
He had a Catholic funeral too 😢
I just never connected with any religion. My sister’s son, Jared Timberlake, was chosen 2 weeks ago to read the opening prayer for congress! He is a Baptist minister and if I can get healthy enough to move back to Ohio, I will give him a shot. But, Baptists are too strict for me! My sister gets so mad when I cuss, like I always do 😁 and it makes me not comfortable cause I’m always upsetting her. 🙄 it’s a habit, I’m a dress wearing, high heels and makeup girl that cusses like a sailor lol

Amen, l was raised Baptist, but left at 25, l tell my children about Jesus, but one thing l have ask God to draw them closer to him, l can't force them, but thank him everyday that he will. I gave up on a lot churches where you dress a certain way or l will just say don't think about our souls, but material things, l refuse to be in worldly religion, but l pray for them. I am in a church now where people are from other countries and races belong, where God and people matter. I am happy. Blessings.

I believe in the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit, and what I’ve learned is the leaders of a church are human and they are not God and many will fall. But God is a perfect God and we need to go to His word and learn and let the Holy Spirit guide us in what He wants us to live and glorify Him with our actions. Every day is a battle being here on this earth but I believe we can make through if we always put Him first. Be blessed 🙏🏻
