    I am using the SD Card option. Is there anyway to programmatically copy off the data from SD Card? Is there like a copy command? I see in the webapp, you can download one page of plates at at time, but I want to bulk copy the plates and metadata off of the SD Card.

    Great and very informative video! Thank you! I have a question about this camera. I live on a corner, which is elevated from the street by about 10 feet, and would need to install this camera under the eave of my single story house. I see there is a 8mm-32mm motorized lens version of this camera, but would like to know what the maximum effective distance would be. I estimate the distance from the camera to the capture point on the street to be 50-75 feet, and the angle offset by about 30 degrees. Would this camera be effective at that distance and angle? Considering the low speed of the vehicles turning the corner, the lens would not have to work that hard. I have previously installed 30X optical zoom PTZ cameras, but could not capture license plates at night due to poor lighting conditions. Thank you in advance for your assistance!

    • @EQLNetworksSecurity
      @EQLNetworksSecurity  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Don. Thank You. According to HikVision Spec using the 8-32mm version you should be able to capture 28 meters or 90 feet. As long as your horizontal and vertical angles do not exceed 30 degrees it will be fine. Hope that helps.

      @@EQLNetworksSecurity It would be more helpful if you gave the minimum and max range, for example the 8-32mm cameras range is X feet at 8mm and X feet at 32mm. I'm also looking for min & max range for the 2.8-12mm. I recently purchased the 2.8-12mm, but think I may return it due to distance concerns. My target location 80 to 70 feet away, I'm not concerned with angle and height which I believe is within specs. I hoping for plate reading at 12mm, I know at 2.8mm it's going to be far too great a distance, but knowing what the range is at 2.8 would still be beneficial. Thanks

      @@CesarGonzalez-kt7vp According to HikVision Specs in regards to Recognition Distance for the 8-32mm the Min is 7.2metres and Max is 28metres for the 2.8-12mm Min is 2.5metres and Max is 12metres

      Yes they do cost a lot more than your standard system. They are not your standard CCTV camera. The sensors in these cameras are lot more expensive and the reason why they are able to capture the license plates with such clarity. Hopefully the price of the these sensor and cameras will come down in price over time, but at present this is where we are at.

    In your example of lines setup you use an easy to set up left and right border. In the real world where you are monitoring a street with these cameras on a pole to the side - the lane-setup is infinitely more complicated. I have yet to find any combination that works. And the Lord help you if you have two lanes - don't even think about trying to set that up with any degree of success. Aside from slow-moving access-control scenarios, these cameras are pretty useless

    • @EQLNetworksSecurity
      @EQLNetworksSecurity  ปีที่แล้ว

      The cameras need to be setup at the correct heights, distances and angles as per the specifications for them to work properly. If they are outside of the parameters they can be hit and miss.
