    Thank you Brandon, your review content is so detailed. Both in the information of the shoe as well as your personal feelings and what we need to notice about the size and turning with the Prime X. Please keep up the good work. I have liked your video and hit the Subcribe button👍🏻

    Thanks for sharing this video.. waiting for your review on this shoes since day 1 adidas launched it.
    Would love to see comparison between alphafly vs prime x vs metaspeed sky from you in future 🙂

    one main difference i felt between these and the alphafly was that the back heel area feels really narrow and it’ll be dangerous for heel strikers to wear these because of the narrow heel. i feel like my ankle is gona roll even when walking in these

    Watching your left ankle @4:36 I think the midsole cut out exasperates the ankle collapse. Yikes. I think if they didn’t cut it out, it would be slightly more stable.

      @@Runningshoesgurucom Hi, can you please tell me if these shoes would be good for power/speed-walking for a heavyset (230 lbs) man.
      I have a messed up back from a work injury & unfortunately can’t run anymore but I was wondering if these shoes with maximalist cushioning would be good for speed-walking or they’re only for runners (due to the stack height and/or offset)? Thanks 🙏

    • @Runningshoesgurucom
      @Runningshoesgurucom  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@guspetrakis1233 For walking, offsets of 10mm and more are preferred. The walking gait is different than the running one. I think a shoe such as the nike vomero or structure would be better choices.

      @@Runningshoesgurucom Hello brother!
      I appreciate you taking the time to respond back. I really want to go after a Maximalist Shoe that has the least weight (around the 7-8oz range tops).
      If I have an unlimited spending budget, do you think the Nike Air Zoom Alphafly NEXT% Flyknit Ekiden can work for me as a walking shoe?
      (I also have a Protalus M100 insole that gives me an extra 1 or 2 mm at the heel compared to the insoles forefoot. So I’m thinking that the nike alaphafly next’s has a 9mm heel to toe drop plus the 1-2mm insole that’ll put in there would get me to 10mm+ offset).

    Please do some time trials between Prime x, Next % fly 2 and Alphafly? I have all 3 and the prime feels the best, but is it the fastest? I don't care that it's illegal.

    I wear Running socks by "Danish Endurance", which offer some Terry cloth along the Line of lacing pressure.
    You overpronate, before and during toe-off at lower speeds. It's typical at Higher speeds that there is a Transition before toe-off more towards supination as the Line of the Transition are the Line where the metarsalheads Sits.
    Your overpronation is normal for the effect of today's footwear.
    I say "reduce the toe-spring". If a footwear maker Takes Care of this the next is as Speed is Not the focuse, to offer the foot a Platform and Toe-Box to be Trained to get strong and stabilizing. Straight-Fit is the First step. That means the big toe is laying straight in the footbed. That's already there at adidas sickle-shaped last but the 5th toe-beam is for guidance and here adidas is at the treshold to "functional footwear". adidas usually trys to offer a moderate toe-spring only. But a Speed-Shoe has more Toe-Spring and snugges the 5th toe-beam. The adidas Terrex Speed Pro and Speed SG are the best examples for adidas shoes for Speed with more than moderate toe-spring, sickle-shaped last and snugging the 5th toe-beam.
    A Speed shoe is for Racing and Not for Frequent Long Distance Training.
    You may try the "Joe Nimble nimbletoes Addict" to Train your big Toes to be Stronger and helping the arch to be more active at Stabilization. The big toe is the Main anchor for an stabilizing foot with normal Pronation.
    The Addict by Joe Nimble has No toe-spring and a moderate Front-Rocker.
    You will Train a Clean gait-cycle with less Pronation.
    Pronation depends If your Arch is Firm or Not. If IT IS Not Firm you don't need Impact compensation by moderate Pronation. If IT IS Firm, which is normal today's (modern footwear is the root-cause), your feet uses moderate Pronation. For this Pronation adidas usually offers the Pronation-Moderator. The Addict by Joe Nimble has an very effective Pronation-Moderator, too.
    The effect is Well tuned I can say as my feet are prone for over-correction, which means I should Not wear Stability-Shoes and No individualized Sports-insoles Just neutral shoes with the original insoles and some Pronation-Moderator.
    Train with the Joe Nimble nimbletoes Addict daily. And use the Prime X to Train a Clean gait-cycle with such shoes, with propulsion-technology and hight stackheight. Most important find your own cadence-spectrum for such shoes. The Prime X is the Training shoe for the Boston 10, adizero adios Pro/Pro 2, etc. for Racing.
    Finally, Heel-Strike is Not "the real Heel-Strike"-technique at running. This was the Economy of the gait-cycle of walking transfered to running. The "real Heel-Strike"-technique Had to be Trained and the cadence was quite high while so-called Heel-Striker have a Low cadence.
    The Speed at Marathon is so high meanwhile/today that "the real Heel-Strike" is Not effektive today.
    Propulsion-technology never via integrating the Plantar Fascia into "propulsion". Never! That leads into Plantar Fascitiis.
    Never Plate or Board your feet except IT IS a Top-plate Like at the adidas adizero Pro.
    You can offer the metarsals Energy Rods and Blades but do Not Plate or Board your feet.
    Further effect is overstressing the hips.
    You victim your health / Body for the ultimate Speed of such shoes.
    adidas does Not offer plated shoes. Reebok offers e.g. framed shoes, which are near to top-plated shoes. The problem are shoes with Plates deeply inserted into the midsole.
    The "real Heel-Strike" is the past. The adidas with BOOST where the Transfer-Technology to the adidas Solution for Propulsion. It was about Blades at the very begining. As Blades are splitted the Energy Rods where the basement of adidas real innovation.
    Even the adidas Terrex Agravic Ultra is real innovation. If you understand the issue at traversing you know how genius and innovative the Agravic Ultra is. It shows the metarsal-blades-solution for Ultra / Trail-Running Ultra.
    adidas is offering real innovations. Toe-Spring, high-stackheight and Front-Rocker are Well known and understood and Just solutions of the past Out of the drawer. Good for Speed Bad for the hips.
    Adi Dassler / adidas DNA is "Protect the athlete" comes First but be super Light (adidas SL 1972) and fast as possible.

    In the video you said you went a half size down. Was that a half down from the Adidas Adizero Adios pro 2's. I'm normally a 9.5 UK in adidas (which is the size of my Adizero Pro 2's, I did try the size 9 but it was a little too tight for comfort) but a 9uk in everything else from the Nike Vaporfly Next Percent, Saucony Endorphin Speed and Brooks Hyperion Elite 2 so was wondering if a 9 in the Prime X would be fine for me?

    i had about 11% faster time against normal running shoes like the Nike Zoom X. i also run the Nike Alpha Fly , which is the same level but i noticed the Nike wears out faster … So the AdiZero is better value for money :) Enjoy your workouts :)

    oh man, they look really silly @5:29 clown shoes :D
    Sure, you ca be faster... but it's kinda cheating your body with this tech. it's not your real speed there. it's the high tech.

    • @thekinection424
      @thekinection424 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      world record tech will always assist you in some way, but at it's core the shoes aren't fast; the runner wearing them is. if you have terrible form, you will lose with these to somebody who has better form and endurance

    • @scriptedBug
      @scriptedBug 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@thekinection424 it kinda forces all the people to have clown shoes. As long they give more speed to one who wears them, then an equal strength competitor will need the same thing to be competitive.

    • @scriptedBug
      @scriptedBug 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@thekinection424
      I mean, you can wear them if you want. But if you are wearing them, then you cannot compare to others. You just have fun with them because you like speed.
      I find them really silly. And I'm glad they are illegal in official competitions. Because it moves too much the competition in the realm of technology and less to body strength.
