The United Methodist Church is in solidarity with indigenous tribes in the Philippines, known as the Lumads. A peaceful people, these farmers are targets of violence as the development aggression and mining interests force them from their ancestral homes and into refugee camps.

Davaoeno here. I've only been accustomed to their traditions and other details of their way of life when Kadayawan comes. We usually never hear this issue in the mainstream which should be. Makalagot nga gamay ra ang nakabalo ani na problem.
