Thank you for this. This reminds me why Yang's my favourite character. I just wish we had more of this kind of thing in the show itself, though it might have been a bit more impactful if the opening scene where Pyrrha disappeared was completely still. I am kinda curious why you went without the prosthetic arm.
This is like the most accurate way how Jaune & Yang would fight each other in that current vol. I love it how Juane gave everything he got in Pyrrha's memory despite the outcome being inevitable, like a True Hero! Next: Undyne the Undying vs Pyrrha Nikos!
This is genuinely the best Jaune fight we’ve ever seen. Making him look clearly weaker and less experienced, but showing off his tactical prowess. He adjusts his fighting style throughout, trying different things, and finally finds one that works.
After the battle: Jaune, seeing yang next to him: ah? Was that a tie? Yang: nope, knocked you out cold... I'm just laying down so people would think we're chillin. Jaune: thanks. Yang: no problemo.
I love how the moment Jaune pulls back his shield, Yang immediately punishes him for it. It's not something you see often acknowledged whenever a shield user does that in a fight. Yang really feels like a tough teacher who would body you for making those kind of mistakes so you don't make them when it really counts.
I thought he was going to use his shield like a metal baton along with his sword and switch it back and forth from being a shield which would be a badass way to fight!!!
She also keeps close to his body so he can’t use his sword and shield and she can just keep getting free hits in. It shows the animator really knows how people with different weapons use their fighting styles to their advantage.
See, this is the kind of thing that made rwby a thing, interesting character disigns coupled with fast-paced battles and engaging choreography. Throw in e little over the top action for more flavor.

They have trick weapons but this is the first time that Jean's weapon actually looked good as opposed to being boring like it is in the show. They would and have never do anything like what I just saw done in this 3 minute video.

@AKMotions : You know what else would be awesome? If there was a showdown between the two scarlett haired heroines that fought with everything they got against enemies they could not defeat: Undyne the Undying vs Pyrrha Nikos!
I really love how it feels like an actual training session where Yang is trying to help him progress! Take it a little easy at first, test the waters, then try a bit more power and speed, and let him breathe when he needs to. I wish we could see different characters actually bonding and speaking in universe, it’d be so interesting! I feel like Yang would be a pretty good sparring partner in place of Pyrrha, other than maybe Blake with her sword.
i really love this, the way Jaune is shown to have at least improved. It isn't just some, oh look, bigger weapon and secretly practicing, so he gets better but never follow through. Instead just relegating a character into a gag character that doesn't have any funny things about it. Jaune could have been used to explore more of the world of Remnant. As well more so for Yang, the way she just toys with him, not taking it seriously, going back on her old habits of only ever using her real power as a safety net. But most of all, the way you made it just, flow. From the initial fight, to the obvious way Jaune started shelling up and turtling down, fear evident. Then him remembering pyrhha, and his wish to live up to her expectation and not disappoint her, so much so that he improves, improves to point of *self-harm*. I just, *this*, this is what people think about when people praise rwby for it's potential. I love it, i love everything about this, this is what everything vol 1-3 RWBY had that made people fall im love with the series. Thank you, i highly doubt RT will ever do something right other than pander and mess things up more, i just, holy shit im crying. It's beautiful, that's all.
Okay this the best Jaune fight I've ever seen and damn is it nice to see! I love how maintains his "walking tank" style even though he's more skilled. Doesn't really incorporate a lot of verticality like everyone else but instead just keeps coming at you and refusing to back down
This is the kind of flow/impact that's been missing in majority of the fights for a couple volumes now, and you managed to keep it consistent throughout the entire thing which is the important part. Also it's really refreshing to see a fight go more than 30 seconds without getting interrupted by dialogue, and it has actually been so long since seeing a lengthy straight up fight. Obviously there's improvements to be had but overall you did a good job. Keep carrying his dream.
But their was dialogue, each kick was sentence, each blow a teaching. We saw Yang telling him to try and get stronger and in turn Jean told her he wasn't just trying but that he was, but he still has a long ways to go. But you could see towards the end he was keeping his own. Masterful work.
@@Mord12gp That little bit of dialogue/banter is fine but when it lasts 15-20 seconds it really kills the momentum of the fight especially when the dialogue isn’t even good. I remember in V5 Qrow and Raven locked blades and stood there during their fight to talk for almost 30 seconds about crap that didn’t need even to be explained.
@@ObjectiveFailed All the fights after season 3 suck to me. the guys animating just were unable or couldnt follow the style of Monty. To be fair they got better, but we didnt start watching RWBY for somewhat ok fights and crappy story. We watched for amazing off the wall fights and an acceptable story.
It's also kinda unfair to treat the RT animation department poorly for not being as good as Monty. Monty was a legend. Even people dedicated to understanding and replicating his style will probably spend years and years before they even come close. The animation isn't bad on any level. It just doesn't compare to Monty. When people constantly comment "this is better than anything RT has animated in the past 7 years", I always disagree.
@@AKMotions I think its just the software they use. I see people animating with what RWBY used to use and it looks and feels good like RWBY used to be like.
This is pretty great! I like how it's kept clear Jaune isn't at Yang's level yet, but his movement and attacks are a lot more polished. He still can't overcome her after reminding himself of Pyrrha, but he puts up a decent showing. And he, uh, actually has a fighting style and has improved. In the show it feels like they're trying everything to resist that. He should have improved massively under the Ace Ops but his whole fighting style has become holding up his shield or throwing that silly shield grenade. The moment he charged in to face Cinder a second time in v8 would've been a lot more impressive if they'd followed up the hype with him at least holding his own like he does here.
This was truly something else. It makes me wonder how Jaune would actually stack up against other fighters like ruby or nora. Anyways, Incredible work!
Yang: "Nice work, Jaune. Looks like you're starting to get the yang of it." Jaune: "..." Yang: "Jaune?... C'mon bro. Don't leave me yanging." Jaune: "..." Yang: "... Jaune?"
This was great! Two of the most durable fighters in Rwby going head to head in a spar… an excellent close quarters combat choreography while keeping them to themselves rather than changing them fundamentally. One of the best Rwby fights I’ve seen in a long time, including what’s been shown from RT. Show them how it’s done! A fun idea could be Blake and Sun sparring on Menagerie.
Incredibly talented. The only thing I could say as a negative is that little kick Yang does after punching his chest a few times in the middle of the fight doesn't seem to have a lot of momentum transference. But considering that you're just one dude vibing. The fact that that's my ONLY gripe and it isn't even a big one. I'm not good with words so I can't exactly state how proud you should be but it's very.
this fight made me realize Jaune needs a fighting style that fits him. seeing Yang and Jaune fighting made me realize that Yang is very skilled in combat and strong, even if Jaune is durable, yang speed and strength just tops Jaune. It's hard to switch from defense to attack even for a skilled warrior that has a sword and shield switching from defense to attack is still hard if your fighting a enemy that is stronger and faster than you.
This was f**king phenomenal! Not only is the action amazing, but the story-telling was honestly better than much of what the show has put out in the last couple years. I'm happy fan animators such as yourself are keeping Monty's animation style alive. The impact, the flow, the speed, it was all breathtaking. THIS! Is what it means to keep moving forwards.
I absolutely love this! Just the sheer length of it, and chuck full of complex Monty-esque choreography, while also maintaining their characters, Jaune in particular; injecting more flair and speed into his fighting style to show him closing the skill-gap between him and the others, improvising new tactics when the current aren't working, and just tanking ungodly amounts of damage and getting back up for more. I would have loved to see your take on how he'd use his greatsword as well. And in a personal note, seeing Yang fighting like back in the Yellow trailer is so hype! You did amazing in showcasing just how incredibly fast and mobile she is; she really feels *powerful* here, and there are so many great little details in her choreo. This is my Yang! Man, I really hope you'll animate more fight-scenes like this, and especially when you can showcase a characters' distinct styles in ways that we unfortunately don't see as much anymore. I'd love to see Weiss super-fencing again, Blake using the full extent of her amazing weapon, and Nora having actual choreography in a fight. Tall order, I know, I can't even imagine the work that went into making this. But this is seriously fantastic work!
I love making rwby animations like this because playing with the distinct styles of each character is so fun. And adding onto what Monty hadn't done yet to the characters is enjoying.
This is how Jaune should be after the events of V3. Taking after Pyrrha's style of combat and turning one the dullest weapons into a deadly mixup. I completely forgot his sword sheathe even turned into a shield. That's how little of an impact Jaune has ever had in the series. The endurance he has also fits in with his Paladin theme. Every time he gets knocked down he has little troubles recovering. That could've been a part of his Semblance too, where he can perform self recovery and keep fighting.
Jaune got two things going for him, a tactical mind, and tank. The boy can take a disproportionate amount of hits for his skill level. And this, this shows both, top tier stuff.
Like Sabro Sabnock from Welcome to Demon School: A big blonde brawler who's still a loveable lunk but actually matures over time while still retaining their humorous moments.
Bro this duded needs to be the choreographer for roosterteeth man this was awesome, I love that Jaune had a great fight scene man, I wish this was in the show, the closest thing we got is that concept from Monty of jaune vs yatsuhashi
Damn, this is AMAZING! Everything from the pacing to the set pieces to the music, and then that voice over of them talking after the vision of her training him 😭
Well that was a three to four minute reminder of why I got into RWBY in the first place. While they have shown Jaune's growth a bit in Canon, I can't help but feel that his growth in fighting skills hasn't really been given the attention it deserves. This shows not only that, but his grit that he gets when he puts his mind to it. Here's hoping Volume 9 does him even half the justice you have, Bravo.
This is Awesome. From the choreography to the wordless storytelling of how Jaune changes up his approach after getting knocked down, the determination he has is readable by just that. After seeing him train to use that air slash in V4 and seeing Qrow's fights against Winter and Tyrrion where he used it I thought V5 might be perfect time for Qrow to train him and perfect his sword fighting as well as expand on that tension they had. So seeing that move here just brings a smile to me, looking forward to seeing more.
This was absolutely beautiful! The fast paced and smooth animation was seriously reminiscent of Monty’s style, if that’s what you were going for, and it was so amazing to watch! Also, I appreciate the Hell out of the fact that Jaune did manage to do better throughout the fight, but still lost to Yang. Determination is great, but at the end of the day Yang was the more experienced and skilled fighter.
This was great fun to watch, kinda strange to see volume 1-3 Jaune holding his own so well, but I do know I want to see Jaune fight like this in the actual show.
I feel like Jaune if he had been trained before beacon could beat Yang and most of the others if he knew his semblance better. Because Yang is a brawler and has little defense against him and her semblance is good for blunt attacks not slashes so Jaune’s sword could whittle down her defense while using his shield to take the majority of hits not all.
The dialogue in the background was balanced incredibly well. Enough where it haunts you, but not too much to take away from the fight music for the rhythm. Though admittedly, it was kind of hard to make out what they were saying without going back to hear it multiple times.
This brings back memories of classic RWBY. I miss this animation style, it wasn’t perfect but to me it was apart of RWBY’s charm. The new volumes are too ‘clean’ looking if that makes sense and the fights aren’t the same. This gives the feeling of watching volumes 1-3 again and I bet Monty would love it if he were alive to see it. Great work! ❤️
Thank you! I know exactly what you mean. I think a lot of rwby volume 1-3 was pure mocap in poser. So the newer volumes look weirder and worse because they animate all the body movements and walk cycles by hand.
@@AKMotions Generally a lot of the episodes in the early volumes were mocap but the fights scenes during that era were a mix of mocap and hand key animation as well as some recycled animations as well. Monty loves reusing/repurposing animation to save time or to make certain scenes work. I've watched his animations to the point where I can tell if any of the moves have been reused or not. In the newer volumes, the fight scenes aren't as good because they look scripted (they storyboard the fights now). Monty and Shane's workflow goes against that; their idea is that you have to be able to go at it, knowing the characters abilities and how they would act in certain situations. It's part of the reason why their scenes are so amazing. For example, you know how in Volume 5, majority of the fights were storyboarded and didn't look as good, but the one that stood out to most was the gunchucks scene between Sun and Illia? Well the animator who worked on that scene, Kim Newman, said that when she was working on the scene there were no storyboards and she went as using the original gunchucks scene as a reference but the even though the movements looks completely different, it still feels and looks like Monty's style.
Glad to see you are just as much of a Monty fanatic as me. I want more people like you in this world. And yeah, Monty and shane seem to put less effort into it which also made it better if that makes sense. He took ideas straight out of his head and put them into animation, and he chose the easiest way to do so too. And the ideas from his brain just happened to be super cool. I have been studying along with a few other 'montymators' trying to animate half as cool as him and we seem to always write his mindset out as a formula. But to him it was his natural brain. Now that I think about it a good analogy for me and other animators trying to replicate his style is this. The more Monty you are, the less 'formula' his mindset gets. And the more natural it is for you. It just gets to be "I am just trying to make cool fights", and that is the formula. You don't pick up a notebook full of every little detail and incorporate it because you just think "how do I make this cool" and in turn if it ends up coming out like a Monty animation. Then that doesn't prove you know the formula of Monty. It just proves you are as cool as Monty.
I really wish we got more scenes in the actual RWBY like this, with Yang teaching Jaune or Oscar like we saw her trying to teach Ruby in the early seasons and that one clip. Would have been nice to see that Sisterly Bonding go into more of a Teaching Personality for Yang, wanting to make sure that all hunters can correctly defend themself if needed and not just her little Sister
A great fight. Jaune did put up a great fight, but still realizes he needs to get stronger. This is how you show this guy needs to grow, instead of constantly crying about you know who
This. This is the kind of high-octane RWBY battles that I've missed for so long. I understand that it wasn't perfect, but my thirst for old-school RWBY action made me not notice them immediately - this to say that this animation was really good.
You have my subscription because this is absolutely amazing, the cheoreography and how fluid both yang and jaune move is better than anything in v4-v8. If i'm being honest i sorta fell out with jaune , the fact that roosterteeth forgot to develop him as a fighter and as character was dissapointing to me but damn man seeing him in some of the recent fan animation really tells me what could've been
I like how you made him actually use head with some of those fints. Jaune have always been good at tactics if only the show would use that fact, then Jaune would be able to do alot more than he is now. Also he would be useful and I would love to see a character that uses there head with tactics instead of straight up fighting with no tactics at all. And Jaune would be the perfect character for that sense he is not that strong compared to the outers in the show.
This is how I wish Jaune would be by this point in the story. Not nearly just as week as he was since the fall of beacon. He should be nearly as good as the rest of the main RWBY cast by this point. This video made me both marvel at how cool the fight is and cry
@Azuri e Eh not so much anymore that they basically gave him a Hyperbolic time chamber for over a decade and then restored him to his prime years while keeping all that experience, and in his brief fighting moments in V9 that showed he was clearly much improved. He still just needs a good at least a couple minutes long solo fight to show that off like he was clearly beating Neo-Cat for a bit before it fucked with his head when they had their 1 V 1 moment but that was only like a 20 second bit in what was mostly a team fight.
Fighting choreography that tells a story and shows us how the characters think and act without needing words but still being incredibly action packed yet easy to follow. This is true Monty Oum style animation. Good job.
This is amazing! Seeing your animations feels like experiencing Monty's work all over again. Great job, and keep it up. You've got a bright future ahead of you.
This is what I imagined Jaune's fighting style should have been. The simplicity of his weapon necessitates blocks and counters. All he would need is speed. And since his weapon is so simple with only one real form shift initially he would have been able to get pretty fast. Even when they added in the upgrade and volume four he still could have become very fast. All it did was sacrifice his defense for pure raw attack power. And as we seen with Qrow's weapon a great sword can still be used in one hand and still be relatively fast. As it is now I don't think Jaune would ever be developed to fight like he did in this video in RWBY proper because of the upgrade his weapon God in volume 7. It only got a two significant upgrades from what I've been able to see the, ability to project a hard light shield that increases its range and the ability to manipulate gravity dust in The shield center. This seems more like they're aiming to make Jaune an immovable tank rather than a fast fighter. Shame that we will never see Jaune develop this way as a fighter in the show.
I based his fighting style off of some unused footage of Jaune fighting yatsuhashi that Monty animated. It was the whole reason I wanted to animate this. And I agree, he should have improved as a fighter similarly to pyrrha, seeing as their whole character progression together was that Pyrrha was training him to be a good warrior. It would work best story wise if Jaune became what he trained with Pyrrha to be. Because then Pyrrha's death would be less of a waste as it would prove she did help him after all.
I love that you used Jaune for this! he normally doesn't get featured in fan animations like this! let alone with this level of skill. Hell, he doesn't even get this treatment in the show!
I'm amazed by the amount of storytelling you put into this shot without any dialogue (aside from the past dialogue playing in the background of the fight)- the narrative was easy to follow even without reading the description afterwards and did a great job conveying character, style, backstory and progress all within a single fight! Incredible work!
It's crazy to think that 9 seasons in Jaune the only character with comparable screentime to team RWBY themselves only has like 2 1 on 1 fight scenes 1 against a.. bear in the Monty Era and a brief one against a posessed ice cream Midget in Volume 9 (which was cool with the kicks and headbutts he incorporated into his fighting but god it should of been longer) Between them it was literally all just a handful of moments in team fights basically, and in some of those (like the Tournament in V3) he barely even got those.
It was nicely animated in the same style as volumes 1 and 2. I was also glad that while Jaune didn't give up, you did have him lose as in cannon, I have seen nothing to show that he as of atlas could even beat Yang as far back as her yellow trailer. And while mixing yang's fighting style up with more kicks did make it more cinematic, I don't remember her doing that many in show. I did like the use of Jaune's shield
I genuinely love this video. The choreography is fire, but as a writer I admire how Phyrra, you can really feel her presence and Jaune's emotions go through a little arc throughout the fight. Powerful. And I like how Yang encouraged Jaune to spar. That seems just like her. Oh and Jaune's expressions! Subtle but noticable and effective.
Shoutouts to Judgemental Critter for exposing me to your work. I think it looks great and she has some slight criticism for you if you haven’t seen her video.
Ouhgoughgggg this is. SO good. i'm terrible at actually describing as to how it's good but from what i can tell, it's well-paced and has some aspects of how the characters actually fight (rather than just making them fight). there's also some personality in them and that's always fun to see!! love seeing jaune get the spotlight for once, cause he usually never gets it, let alone in a fight, in the actual show itself nor in fan animations. i don't really have any nitpicks other than putting more of the characters' fighting style into their movements, but honestly that's just a tiny nitpick in comparison to how great this animation is. you animate jaune really well for someone who rarely fights on-screen, or fights well. i'd love to see you animate more rwby characters that never really got to fight often, like ozpin. you really make those characters shine!! love your channel :D
This could've been fight scenes in later rwby series. And Jaune could've had more battles like in season 1. But nah rooster teeth wont show any screen time towards the 2nd group of the show
Being a bruiser type would be the best build for Jaune.. Able to tank alot A little slow but can still dish out ton of damage. In a world where the majority of fighters choose to be an agile fighter, a bruiser or tank can destroy
Holy crap dude roosterteeth should definitely recruit you! The fighting was fast but well choreographed! Imagine if you had more time and a budget to work with!
DAMN The reason I got into rwby was monty's fight animation, now knowing he's gone I try to find or watch fights with the same feel and flow as his and not gonna lie this is one of the best fights ive seen after watching tons of others :00, i hope you keep up the good work!!! ❤
If you think about it, Yang is both the best and worst opponent for Jaune. She's melee and Jaune has no ranged options. None. Zero. Worst because Yang's semblance only boosts her in melee. Jaune's style is in some way hampered by Pyrrha's teachings because Pyr was a more offensively oriented shield user whereas Jaune seems suited more to defensive. The...bulw-arc if you will.
Out of all of them, Jaune had the best chance against yang, if he could really utilize his defense and focus on going for that singular opening when she tries to close the distance

Yang has a robot arm in this. It's just the wrong arm because I flipped the video
@@AKMotions oh ok
@AKMotions : You know what else would be awesome? If there was a showdown between the two scarlett haired heroines that fought with everything they got against enemies they could not defeat: Undyne the Undying vs Pyrrha Nikos!
@@tianoc-g4811 if undynes armor is not metal when it gets remade after she undyes then maybe she can win if not then pyrrha will win
Thank you so much! I am super happy you liked it :)
How did you find that info out?
@Alex Luca Considering how Yang approaches the "tank" concept, compared to Jaune, it's not really that clean-cut of a comparison, no offense.
@Alex Luca JNPR is still JNPR. Oscar's last name is pine.
Yang:
"Nice work, Jaune. Looks like you're starting to get the yang of it."
Jaune:
"..."
Yang:
"Jaune?... C'mon bro. Don't leave me yanging."
Jaune:
"..."
Yang:
"... Jaune?"
Jaune: "... Where am I~?"
If I could get a sun model then you bet I would do that
Incredibly talented.
Thank you👍comments like yours inspire me to keep moving forward :)
@@AKMotions Well in that case, I hope to see many more animations from you! Keep up the amazing work.
This is probably the only fan animation that doesnt make Jaune look like a complete joke in terms of fighting
This is one of the best RWBY fan animations I've ever seen! Incredible work!
Thank you!👍
1:11 I love her dodge spin animation there, also like how she waits for an opening! this is great, Fights in the current volumes don't even compare!
DAMN, I wish Jaune fought like this in the show eventually
Jaune got two things going for him, a tactical mind, and tank. The boy can take a disproportionate amount of hits for his skill level. And this, this shows both, top tier stuff.
Imagine if Yang's character to be or getting the strongest fighter in the remnant. Her dream to be championship, not some shipping bait in story.
Like Sabro Sabnock from Welcome to Demon School: A big blonde brawler who's still a loveable lunk but actually matures over time while still retaining their humorous moments.
Yang: IIIII! IIIIII! IIIIII! IIIIIII! IIIIIIII! I WANNA BE A SAIKYOU HEROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
True. She wants the thrill. So her character would fit with the competitive nature of wanting to become the best.
@@randomcenturion7264 I agree but as for yang, I want her to be proved females can be competent as well.
@@AKMotions Unfortunately her character was dead along with her lost arm.
There was no way Jean would win this but he got some really good hits on Yang that's awesome
This short by itself has made me more invested in both Yang and Jaune as characters more than the show ever succeeded to.
Bro this duded needs to be the choreographer for roosterteeth man this was awesome, I love that Jaune had a great fight scene man, I wish this was in the show, the closest thing we got is that concept from Monty of jaune vs yatsuhashi
Damn, this is AMAZING!
Everything from the pacing to the set pieces to the music, and then that voice over of them talking after the vision of her training him 😭
Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it👍
Well that was a three to four minute reminder of why I got into RWBY in the first place.
Him using his shield and sword in the same hand is actually pretty cool. The swings would have more weight to it and be harder to block/deflect.
Thank you!👍 And yes glad you and many others understand Jaune doesn't have to win the fight in order to be victorious.
Wish we got something like this in the actual show
Man this is really solid, I wish we got more of the team training against each other like this. And love the choreography, especially for juane.
I can see the subtle actions where Yang will wait for him to approach, instead of her normal habit of facing things head on.
You’ve come a long way but you also recognize there is more to go. Keep Moving Forward. We’re all watching you succeed as you do.
This was great fun to watch, kinda strange to see volume 1-3 Jaune holding his own so well, but I do know I want to see Jaune fight like this in the actual show.
Well this would be in between 3 and 4 jaune
This makes me very happy but also reminds me that Jaune has no proper choreographed fight in the show.😭
Well, considering Jaune didn’t receive any proper training from a combat school before attending Beacon, it kinda makes sense
This.....THIS fight style of Jaune? It's should be the canon fight Style, your job is Gold
Wow. You guys did Jaune better than RWBY ever did
You can definitely tell that Jaune and Yang are both in the Tactician and Brawler Class.
You can’t say he didn’t try his best here.
I adore this. The camera movement just made it feel snappy and fast-paced, and the action was just good to watch.
You understand character development very well👍
Using his folded shield as an offhand tonfa is really neat
A great fight. Jaune did put up a great fight, but still realizes he needs to get stronger. This is how you show this guy needs to grow, instead of constantly crying about you know who
I still can't get over seeing him use a sword and shield on the arm. It just seems really amazing to me.
If i'm being honest i sorta fell out with jaune , the fact that roosterteeth forgot to develop him as a fighter and as character was dissapointing to me but damn man seeing him in some of the recent fan animation really tells me what could've been
Oh monty you arent with us anymore but you inspired a generation.
He sure did.
I REALLY liked this. Jaune gave it his all and while of course he lost this was a really great display of the fighter he could have been.
All i can say is this was bad azzz... Juan improved a lot. Hope to see more of that in volume 9.
This is how I wish Jaune would be by this point in the story. Not nearly just as week as he was since the fall of beacon. He should be nearly as good as the rest of the main RWBY cast by this point. This video made me both marvel at how cool the fight is and cry
Exactly the reason I made this video. Thanks 👍
Thanks man!
Damn Jayne using a guard + sword style like a samurai
Creative there mate!
Hella good
This is what I imagined Jaune's fighting style should have been.
Thank you!👍
2:18 is my favorite part.
such an incredible piece of storytelling and its so simple.
dammn dude THIS IS SOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOD DAMN GOOD and satisfying to watch even the pacing top knotch... THIS IS WHAT RWBY IS THANK YOU
It's crazy to think that 9 seasons in Jaune the only character with comparable screentime to team RWBY themselves only has like 2 1 on 1 fight scenes 1 against a.. bear in the Monty Era and a brief one against a posessed ice cream Midget in Volume 9 (which was cool with the kicks and headbutts he incorporated into his fighting but god it should of been longer)
Between them it was literally all just a handful of moments in team fights basically, and in some of those (like the Tournament in V3) he barely even got those.
Watching this have brough up some feeling about how RWBY could've went with character developing. Nice work.
If only Jaune actually fought like this in all his fights
Shoutouts to Judgemental Critter for exposing me to your work. I think it looks great and she has some slight criticism for you if you haven’t seen her video.
Love how creative the way you made Jaune use his Sword and Shield in this fight.
The length and amount of work in this is great, I’m really wanting to check out some of RWBY because of your work… seriously it’s outstanding 👍💥
I would love you to watch rwby. You would understand the spark it had when Monty was alive.
@@AKMotions maybe a reaction video series could be in order… 💥
I'd be down for that.
@@AKMotions now we need Cardin in a fight!
I think he died when beacon was attacked
Honestly rough around the edges? Yes.
BUT very good nostalgic fighting choreography? Yes!!!!
You got potential!!! Keep at it!!!
I like how you can tell Yang is holding back.
But nah rooster teeth wont show any screen time towards the 2nd group of the show
Absolutely nailed the fighting styles of both of them. This adds a lot to Jaune's character as well.
if i were to make a new rwby show or a reboot you would be my animator because your animation style stayed true to monty's vision.
Nice to see you didn't forget the sword beams.
Being a bruiser type would be the best build for Jaune..
Able to tank alot
A little slow but can still dish out ton of damage.
In a world where the majority of fighters choose to be an agile fighter, a bruiser or tank can destroy
so much in just minutes! I love this!! The fight was well choreographed.
Not gonna lie, this was actually really cool to watch. Amazing work was out into this animation.
i got chills listening to pyrrha speak. great job! this is why i loved rwby
This was fucking beautiful from the animation to the choreography great job man
Holy crap dude roosterteeth should definitely recruit you!
Thank you!
This is a better fight scene than actual rwby has given us in years
this move quality! jeeeeeeeeeeez!
Wow! 😯 It’s not too often that ya get to see Jaune get the best of a fighter as tenacious as Yang!
This is pretty good. You got the styles down just right.
The Jaune we always wanted but never got
Out of all of them, Jaune had the best chance against yang, if he could really utilize his defense and focus on going for that singular opening when she tries to close the distance
