HARRRRD SYNC Such a cool design. I’ve been really interested in spectral/additive techniques lately and it’s cool to see something like this in analog. Other approaches like Xaoc Odessa or the 4ms ensemble are also amazing but I love the simplicity and easily approachable design of the DHO. Super clever controls with the integrated vca’s and lfo’s. Now to figure out what I’ll be replacing with it in my current case 😅 I’ve learned so much from your channel Divkid. Thank you so much 🫡
I've stopped half way through because what I've heard & seen is incredible and now the PWM section is about to begin! The variety of sounds is just nuts! But the Saw & Square Sync drone patch was epic! 🤘🔊 Bravo to the @AtoVproject dev duo & to Divkid for the welt great demonstration video! No one does it better 👏
I think people are going to overlook the sheer uniqueness of Coupled Harmonic Oscillators at their own peril because it’s large in hp…. Go read the papers… it’s seriously unique like scanned synthesis
Wow, this really is a monster oscillator. Incredible patching as always - so many ideas in here! This one’s on the wish list, although I’m definitely going to need a bigger case 😂
Cheers Tom! Put a hell of a lot into this one which came from feeling excited by the things I was finding tonally and how that fed into new ideas and music along the way.
44:50 "As sync goes into the core of the oscillator[,] it's [sic] affect is present on the expander waveforms too." Very true. The sync source was in a great mood, and that affect was clearly evident in the expander waveforms.
I agree with Tom, so many ideas in here. Thanx DivKid. Talking about FM: I bought the Mod FM from Jomox and am very enthusiastic. It would of course be great if you could present it here and inspire me again. 🙂
Thanks Randy. I've not tried the Jomox. But I've sort of watched come out from afar if you like. It would be great to work with them and check it out though.
The ones here were built into this module. I think I used two triangle LFOs and a stepped random source, oh and some envelopes. Happy to talk any of it through and appreciate the suggestion.
8:30 I don't understand. Here you say the Harmonics 1 and 2 "become" LFOs. But it sounds like inner LFOs are modulating the amplitudes of those Harmonics 1 and 2, which are still audible at the output??
Apologies the wording wasn't clear. The modulation of those harmonics is now set to be LFOs, not the algorithmic noise map. The oscillator and it's harmonics are still audio rate VCOs. Unless you specifically change the tuning setting on them to be LFOs ... at which point you can modulate the LFO and it's harmonics with the modulation LFOs.
there's both, any of the 10 destinations can be modulated internally by the noise algorithm or by an LFO. Any mix of those two across the 10 (harmonics and FM on each oscillator).
just started but the 0:21 preview sounds like alex clare - too close or maybe treading water ... definitely has that alex clare sound (i miss dearly, whatever happened to that artist?) great vid man, you always do great... even if it was 2760 seconds of my life
Not every turn, when something changes in a stepped sense (if that makes sense). So holding MOD and turning say a harmonic to the left or right, it vibrates when that changes from the noise to LFO based modulation. Or when you turn the encoder set to octaves or semitones. You feel that change then.

it's great to be able to do this and share, I'm glad it's led to some learning. Thank you! :)
Just bought this - this video is what convinced me. Thanks. Maybe I'll see you at Knobcon this weekend.
ah cool, enjoy the DHO and do say hello if you see me at Knobcon :)
HARD SYNC! great vid, great tones, wonderful! my kind of thing!
Thanks a lot!
When you get out the stereo Mordax Datas you know shit got real.
Yeah Double DATA is serious time! haha.
Or when you're 36 hp module has an expander...

Hopefully the second half sounds just as good.
Thank you!

it's a massively capable thing with a huge range of sounds and approaches present. Well said.

Wow what an absurdly well designed behemoth
Yeah they did a great job putting this together.

HARD SYNC! Thank you so much for the video! Amazing patches!
Thanks for a great module to work with.
Man, some wicked bassline out of this thing.
Yeah lots to go out for designing bass sounds.

@@DivKid YES YES YES PLEASE GOD I would love to see a proper demo of the Jomox!! Cheers!
I think you should make a video about how are you creating all these great cv modulations that you have in your reviews.
The ones here were built into this module. I think I used two triangle LFOs and a stepped random source, oh and some envelopes.

@@DivKid thank you
Wow, it sounds sick!

TEAM HARD SYNC!!!!!!!!!!!!
:)
Hmmmm, awesome! Great sounds, great demo :)
Thanks! Appreciate that :)
This does look wicked...
what a beast
Yeah it is, impressive work from them.
Can you get the internal modulation to synchronize to a clock or reset on trigger or such like?
Wait the LFOs are simplex noise? Or is it just the modulation control that uses simplex noise?

it was 2760 seconds of your life but I wonder how many zeros I have to add to how many of it was to make it! haha.
@@DivKid hahaha yeah but that's why we watch, your stuff is great
Mine are quick and poorly edited haha
Is the haptic feedback whenever you turn a knob? Or does it only happen , for example, on a C note, for tuning purposes?

@@DivKid oh that's super cool thanks
Is that a Serge modular in the background?
Indeed it is.
an idea of the price ?
$700 pre order at perfect circuit 2023-11-23
F'in FM 🤘🤘
haha
Oh no... Righr after I just got my first Complex Oscillator abd began to think "gee, I wish I had yhis circuitry in a harnonic oscillator..."
HARD SYNC
HARD SYNC!
Hard Synch
Synch away
They forgot to throw in the kitchen sink! 2/10 😅
I know all this stuff it's done and it hasn't made me one fajita yet.
