This is such a well done how to video. The camera angles, lighting, stability are all fantastic. Detail level is perfect. Tha k you for this. I was going to take it to a shop but you made this look very easy. Hopefully it goes this easy for me...though my truck has a lot of rust so we shall see
Would it be possible to remove the inner tie rod and take both inner and outer out together? The you replace both and use the length to approximate your alignment and install them together. Is that possible or even sensible?
Very nice video👌anyways what is the reason why we need to change the inner tie rod? I would like to recommend on your videos to tell the reason why we need to change the parts so at least we know why we need to change it. Thanks for the videos👌👌👌
+carlo mango Thank you very much for the kind words, I'm glad you enjoy our videos. If you work hard and put in the time you will be amazed at what you can do! 1aauto.com
Could you tell what did you add on the outer side of the thread of the inner tie rod after installation? At that thread where the outer tie rod goes. Is it antilocker? Can you torque the inner tie rod when attaching, or it is better to do it manually how it is done in the film? Thank you very much for the film, especially that part where you explain how to lubricate the inner tie rod after the installation. The lady mechanic is so great in her precise and accurate work.
She used antiseize compound on the part where the Outer Tie Rod screws onto the Inner Tie Rod. No need to use a Torque Wrench when tightening the Inner Tie Rod to the Rack. Just follow Her procedure in the Video. Make sure you use (Blue) Loctite on the Male Thread of the Inner Tie Rod to prevent it from loosening. The Part that threads into the Rack.
I know your getting a alignment right away but u never say about make sure u tighten the jam nut if its loose it can disconnect from outer tie rod very dangerous
I see you presprayed all the joints your going to remove with penetrating oil or sumpton? "Honey, while you rebuild the truck frontend I'll go inside and make us a meringue pie." LoL ,just kiddin
Bent the crap out of pounding on that knuckle. Must be a better way. Probably a fork and some heat could be tried first. Glad its not my truck. I never reuse that old inner boot, you're just begging for premature failure of that inner end when that old boot cracks open.

Great job! She seems like an awesome tech!
seeing the chassis of this poor truck makes me, at least, somewhat happy about living in Southern California.

I'm a fan of the fact this isn't done on some clean demonstration vehicle. Those parts clearly hadn't been touched until she got to them. Great video!
+C&A thanks for watching, and we appreciate your feedback!

Good video. However, you didn't tighten up the jamb nut for the outer tie rod end
I admire you.. you are awesome... I wish can do the things you do but I'm still an auto general service tech..

+Markomyt1 Thanks for the feedback!
Do they not sell a replacement metal clamp? The plastic zip tie doesn't seem as durable.
Nice job. Is this really only 20 min ?
Forgot the anti seize on the outer tie rod nut and taper. Thanks - very helpful

Dam good tech. Who says female aren't good? One if the best I've seen.
Cool a female Tech.."I have rather large locking pliers here" 😮 respect!!!
Super helpful!
Should have took some measurements to get the alignment
Shade tree auto they should call them selves the parts they sell must be top notch also
what wrench was used for the inner tie rod nut?
She used giant locking pliers but I've seen ppl use a pipe wrench or huge adjustable pliers.
Good job
