  • Hello & Welcome!
    This is a 1:12th scale DIY faux Beeswax Honeycomb - Diamond style design candles for dollhouse or other miniature displays. LED ready candles.
    This project shows one way to make or decorate look-a-like beeswax honeycomb candles & a flower ring. You can make variations for your displays.
    See my handmade mini candles in previous videos for the pillars, tea lights & votives.
    Materials List:
    1. Tulle or netting - small or fine diamond shape holes, white or light colors to create the beeswax honeycomb shape
    2. candles - assorted pillar, tea light & votive, purchased or handmade (I use paper lollipop sticks for pillars & quilling paper strips for tea lights & votives also shown in previous videos) lollipop sticks - thick: 6 x 1/4 inch & thin: 4 1/2 x 5/32 inch, one of each, made of paper… for the stick/taper candles, thin & narrow plastic tubing so the optic fiber may be inserted for LED ready candles (I use plastic water faucet balloon holder also a perfume, cologne, hair product bottle tubes may work) slightly larger diameter than 1/16 inch - see video)
    a. To make a set of pillars, cut three lengths: 1/4 inch for small, 1/2 inch for medium & 5/8 for large, thick or thin lollipop sticks;
    b. To make two candlestick stick/taper candles, cut two 1/2 inch pieces from plastic tubing
    c. To make a tea light with quilling paper - use white or cream paper & paint yellow beeswax color from1/8 inch strips, (3 inch piece for each tea light & 1 3/8 inch piece for small votive tea light) I used 1/4 silver strips for aluminum cup wraps, measure diameter of tea lights to cut outside strip, it will depend on how tight the quilling roll is;
    d. To make candle for lantern style candle use a thin lollipop stick & cut 1/2 inch piece;
    e. To make the two piece pony bead candle warmer, use a small diameter quilling paper tea light or 1/4 inch plastic tube stick tube
    3. fiber optic strands - thin about diameter size of quilter or sewing pin, about four inches, end flow filament, 0.25 to 0.5 mm from evandesigns.com or your choice. The strands are strong but can bend or snap, use gently

    I found a water balloon filler during a walk. I didn't know what it was, but now I finally know what I can do with it. Thank you!
