I actually bought one of these after watching this video and oh goodness...I'm so glad I did xD
I love how I could basically use it as a bluetooth speaker for my main phone if I wanted to...and GOOD LORD IT'S LOUDER THAN I THOUGHT.
It didn't sound too loud in your video, so I thought nothing of it, but then when I got mine...oh god, even at 1 volume it's still pretty loud.
The flash light is very useful, same with the power brick feature.
Well worth the money, in my opinion.~ (35ish dollars USD for me.~)

It´s a bit of a shame that phones like this aren´t ever upgraded to 4g/5g.

They made a 3g version of the Razor flip phone (V3xx I think).

    • @snakeplissken1754

@@ericpode6095 They disabled 3g in my country last year so that would be off no use.
The thing is i do have 2 phones, one i have with me at work, and one private one. The private one is used for surfing, browsing, watching videos on my way and stuff but the work phone is only required to be available for calls/call someone.
A new razr v3 remake with an improved battery and 4g would be perfect. The only options you have in that regard are senior phones.

I got paid to do this exact thing about a year ago and I'm surprised they allowed those sounds. Because when I did it, there had to be absolutely no background noises and it was super sensitive. The recording software wouldn't accept the recordings unless it was crystal clear.

2G is still in use in Northern Europe, mainly because not everyone can affort a good phone and also some companies still use 2G to some things. Even the NMT, which was the phone network before 2G in Northern Europe was use from the 80s to 2016...

"2G"/GSM is still alive and well in Germany too, with no current plans to discontinue it (same for FM... DAB is a complete stillborn). It's kept alive as a fallback option with 99.9% coverage (which can't be said about LTE/4G and even less so about 5G). 3G/3.5G (aka UMTS and HSPA) have been shut down a couple years ago though, so mobile data wise if you lose LTE/4G signal, you get dropped right down to EDGE (0.2mbps) which is the best the original GSM has to offer. Still.. even something that slow allows you to use things like Whatscrap and Telegram, and that's certainly better than... well nothing at all. Plus all the dumbphones right back to the early 90s still work. I know because I've tried with a Nokia 1610 and 2110 lol

Camera phones were first introduced in the late 1990s and became more popular in the early 2000s, but only if you are talking about Japan and Korea, where Sharp, Samsung, LG, Kyocera and other phone manufacturers were based. The first camera phones in the US became a thing in 2003-2005.

    • @wyterabitt2149
      @wyterabitt2149 ปีที่แล้ว

@@brandontechnerd I mean you say late 1990s, but it's an exercise in technically correct. The first one was 1999, and they were nothing other than a pointless novelty. And camera phones were a thing in the UK from 2002 - and it wasn't a Japanese or Korean phone.
The reason why camera phones became a thing a few years later in countries like the UK or the US, is because nobody would have bought the camera phones before this time as they were fairly worthless.

2G (aka GPRS/EDGE) networks are still active in Spain, but it's expected to shut down 3G networking first, as there are lots of M2M and smart home devices still using 2G, and not all carriers are offering VoLTE or VoWiFi calls yet (to add insult to injury, only a few phone models are certified by carriers themselves for placing VoLTE calls 🤬).
And about Java games, I got a Samsung L760 that used both JAR + JAD files. It would run any Nokia N70 compatible JAR files, and I had to convert them with an app on my computer which also created their companion JAD files. Later, I had to place both files in a folder, transfer such folder via cable to the phone and type (on the phone itself) a couple of secret codes to update the Java database and have games eventually installed...

I love feature phones like this, it has really fun and useful features, the powerbank thing with this massive battery and the dual powerful LEDs make this phone a cool secondary device to cary on the bag, just like a tool or gadget to help in certain moments... It lacks the 4G and a better OS like KaiOS or Android, wich is a important downside, but that's ok to a "tool" tech device

  • @jacobperez8921
