Wow !! Super excited to see this video having been involved with dressing the De Waard Tents. Such a great exhibition and delighted to have been asked to dress their tent again for them this year 🤩😍 Thank you x
Oh wow, that's amazing! It's such a shame that you never get to learn about the company or person who styled the tents, it's such an important part of selling the product! We might see you this year as we will probably be there for the setup day! Vicki
@@TractorsandCream Great, I'll llok out for you, I'll be there the Tues and Weds setting up although only the one tent this year. Great to see the video, thanks again.
Our pleasure! Have you watched the glamping show America's video? th-cam.com/video/0cStZh5sjwI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=NewjPmMpzvcZ9WH7 They have way more canvas structures than the UK one.
Thank you so much for being my eyes at the glamping show 2023 which we are so sad we missed this year; but on the upside is we have been super busy and getting plans ready for our own site! You’re right, it’s not really glamping anymore is it. I think people have taken the word ‘experience’ and simply translated that into the accommodation must be different to everyone else’s. Which is a shame because experience to us is everything from the moment you arrive, where you put your head, what you do And have onsite and everything in between. The accommodations can still be canvass tents and that’s been forgotten. It’s great to see what’s available , what’s trending and get ideas from everything though! Hope your calming down after a busy summer! 😊 I know I keep saying it but we will visit soon!
I was saying to Bryan that I wondered if we would see you guys at the show! I'm so sorry I haven't caught up with you to see how it's going but I do think about you guys! You are totally right about the experience, it doesn't actually really matter what the structure is as long as the experience is right for your guests. How is it all going your end? Would definitely love to meet up at point x
Thanks for showing us around. Excellent video. You're so right to say this isn't glamping! They are lodges or chalets. The camping part seems to have disappeared. As to the cost, it will take forever to get your money back. Thanks Marc (Ruby Country Camping)
Hi Marc, thanks for your comment, yes definitely far too many tiny homes / lodges this year. That shepherds hut at nearly £200k! I just can't see how you would ever make your money back!!! I've just found you on insta - you aren't too far from us! Thanks, Vicki
Hi! We just went to our local council to get planning permission, we did the whole application ourselves so it only got about £400 and went through in 8 weeks. We applied for a fixed tent campsite. I hope that helps! Are you in the UK? Thanks! Vicki
They've gone Overboard and taken out all the Fun out of glamping!!!! Just upscaled tiny homes! Cute but not really impressed 😕 Gotta leave some fun and excitement to the glamping world 😄
Yes I agree, Tiny homes aren't really glamping in my opinion! The Glamping Show Americas definitely had more canvas and what I would call glamping structures. Did you manage to catch that video? th-cam.com/video/0cStZh5sjwI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=IsnZHYmm0mx94k1f
I know the prices are crazy this year. I've taken inspiration from the lune valley party pod for our domes but there is no way I can afford to spend 25k on it, you would never make a return on your investment!
I am so glad I didn't go! It would've been 3 hours each way to see........ not very much! Why do they keep calling it the glamping show? It's gone off on a tangent to the tiny home end of the market, and left glamping behind. Where are the suppliers for smaller sites? Where are the tent suppliers? Those guys with the awning for the bell tent stood out, as they seemed to be the only ones there with anything bell tent related. But then you feel for those suppliers, having spent so much to exhibit there, and be stuck between tiny houses. Rant over 🤣
That's exactly what I felt, it was the tiny home show! The guys with the bell tent awning were really sweet and when I asked why they didn't have a bell tent attached to it to demonstrate they said it's because they couldn't afford the pitch fee, but there was heaps of space behind them and they had brought a bell tent with them so I told them to go and ask the organizers and by the time we went back there they had the tent up and people were walking through it and going inside which was great. The problem is it's got too expensive for anyone other than the big players to have a stand there. Glad we saved you the journey 😂
@@TractorsandCream That's great to hear! As I watched the video, I thought 'Why no bell tent with it' and could only think of cost of pitch. Kidney Stones and a trip to A+E stopped me attending, so thanks for doing the vid, and letting me know I didn't miss out on anything 😎😂🤣
@@Drew262 oh no sorry to hear about the kidney stones, that's awful. Hope you are feeling better now. After we've been to the US glamping show we are heading to the farm business innovation show so will be interesting to see what they have!
@@TractorsandCream I've just had a quick look at the Farm Business show, and will be signing up for it 😀 Better time of year for us. Bit further, but the list of exhibitors / speakers looks better than just tiny houses and people telling me I need a bigger instagram following 😂🤣😂

Hi firstly thanks very much for sharing with us your videos, which company did you used for planning permission? Did you said campsite ?

How much!!
I know right!
Do you have a more descriptive word than cool?
£25k for a shed with a jacuzzi & £29K for a veranda 😂😂😂😂 A total fip off.
