No worries! How much are they out in Aus out of interest? Have you seen the ones on our video of Essex glamping? th-cam.com/video/OcBtkTZefTs/w-d-xo.html They are clearsky safari tents but not too expensive to buy
@@TractorsandCream GlamXperience is the only place with that style of tent here in Aus, and they market them, the deck, installation and furnishing (and seem hesitant to just sell the tent) For the whole lot we are looking at about $85,000 a piece which is a scary investment!
Hey Vicki and Bryan! It was a pleasure to meet you at the glamping show! (I was the crazy lady who seemed to know you when you had no idea who I was 😆) Having watched your videos for ideas (and always amazed at what I see you do) I was quite excited to meet you. I should apologise to you both for interrupting you and my non stop babbling! Apart from the fact Craig and I will now be known for the couple who lost their child at the show 🙈 seeing you guys was my highlight! I hope to come and see your site, you are really an inspiration, and one day for you to come and stay with us. 🤗 I would also love to come and pick your brains Vicki; there’s so much to learn! 😊
Hi! I'm so pleased you got in touch, I didn't even catch your name! It was honestly lovely to meet you both and we would absolutely love you guys to come and visit one day! We are so glad we have been a help so far and are more than happy to help along in any way we can. Did you see any structures you really liked at the show? Feel free to email me info@tractorsandcream.co.uk and we can chat over email or WhatsApp if that's easier? Thanks so much! Vicki
I went along on the Friday. We're aiming to open next year, so it was a chance to have a proper look at some bits and pieces. I found that every other stall was either firepits or hot tubs, interspersed with buildings, that most glamping sites won't have permission for. I didn't see anyone doing a range of bulk standard bell tents there. Everything had to be one up on someone else. I did see the people who did the flooring and mating, and had some good ideas from that. But I would've thought there would be bed, bedding, washing, cleaning, even tent peg suppliers there. Sadly, none seen. I think my first walk around was quicker than your video, and all in, I was there for less than 2 hours. My journey was 3 hours each way..... However, like you, I did love the A frame tent (and the yurts). I don't know if you spoke to them, but the A frame tent comes from Latvia, and costs about £5K. We have a ridge, so as long as we get planning, I may well invest in one, for some glorious sea views!
Hiya, thanks so much for your comment, you make some excellent points there. I guess it is everyone trying to showcase their ultimate high ticket item and what they can do better than their competitors, but you are right, there were no standard bell tents there. Also there wasn't anyone selling solar kits or lighting or anything practical that you need to know once you've got your setup. Thanks so much for the info about the a-frame, Bryan was literally saying he wished he had asked the price! That's a bargain really compared to some of the other prices! I will definitely feed this back to the glamping show team and please keep us updated with how you get on with your site. Where in the country are you? Vicki
@@TractorsandCream Yes! I totally forgot about solar 🤦♂ We're based down near Hastings. We tried doing the 'exempt organisation' route, but that just worked out to be a con, so going for full planning. I was at the show to get the idea of how our showers and toilets would be, so the planning consultant can then draw up the plans, and get it submitted.
@@Drew262 oh no, sorry the exemption route didn't work out. Which company did you go with? I'm just compiling a video about planning permission and will do a section on exemption sites so don't really want to suggest it as an option if they aren't any good. I know a few people that use greener camping club but ultimately it's much better having full planning. Did you manage to work out the toilet and shower situation then? Are you off grid? Thanks for your insight, Vicki

Ah yes we missed you! Sorry it was a whirlwind tour but hopefully I got most of the big stands!
I’ve just found this! Thanks so much for asking about the safari tents! I’ve found one supplier here but man they are expensive 😂
