Lance Ashdown thanks! I haven't listened to them oddly enough, that might be a reason why they're not on here. And since post-punk is such a loose genre, I didn't know if I should have included Fire of Love by Gun Club. Because that's in my top 10 favorite indie n' roll albums.
@@a.oletsgo3880hey man, hope ur doing alr 8 years later. Fire of Love is part of post punk imo. But there definitely is an issue with how broad of a genre post punk is. It pretty much lumps all punk based music thats not hardcore or classic punk
estebàn etienne hey glad you like some of this stuff. I couldn't help to notice you've taken a likening to this heat. Any favorites from them yet? also, cool taste in general (from your profile)
Hey, thanks ! Yeah i haven' t gone farther than deceit for now, but that' s such a killer record, New kind of whater and makeshift swahili seem to be my favourite tracks. I created a new playlist featuring some French bands from the "new underground scene" Are you from england by the way ?
hey thanks. I would like to do that, too. Unfortunately, I don't take youtube too seriously enough to afford doing that. But I do like the idea. This video and the others I have posted have been basically a sample size of unknown albums/underrated ones for people to get into :)
royal nass i might do a redux version of post-punk soon. i have enough of a differing opinion from when i made this to what i think now. so stay tuned yo
+Antonio Merlussa Since this was made a year ago, I would put chrome in my top 5. In fact, my new top 5 are 5. The Chameleons - Script of the Bridge 4. Chrome - Half Machine Lip Moves 3. Nancy Sesay & the Melodaires - C'est Fab 2. Tiny Lights - Prayer For the Halcyon Fear 1. This Heat - Health and Efficiency Dream Syndicate, The Feelies, The Soft Boys, Mission of Burma would be in the top 10 now and I would drop Wipers and the Cure . . . I would replace them with Red Temple Spirits, Swell Maps, Ultravox would also make the list as well and Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds. and I would change Pink Flag to 154 . . .
Great list! I have all but a couple of these. I would have added Ultravox! "HaHaHa" & "JuJu" by Siouxsie Sioux & the Banshees.
Excellent list , have some....want most. Just reminded me i need to buy some more records.
No "Black and White" by The Stranglers ??
Enjoyed the list, although I'm puzzled by the absence of Gang of Four.

Any of the first 4 Comsat Angels albums
The Only Ones debut album, The Fire Engines, Josef K, The Wake, The Modettes all made great albums. The list is still good
The list is too short, but of course you can't mention all the good Bands, thankyou 👍🏻🎶
No Killing Joke? Great list otherwise
154?
Really like mission of burma and wire, don' t know about most of the others... Comon what' s the #1 ??

Decent list. Nice mix
Manque Magazine (Real life par exemple), avec Joy Division et Siouxsie ils ont marqué le post-punk.
All in not a bad selection a few glaring omissions. But still decent.🎉
thank you! great list great top ten.
you should do commentary in your lists. but hey it's your channel, not mine. Don't take this in the wrong way

Chrome!! Flippin eck. All rock and roll ever condensed into 40 minutes of acid punk metal weirdness. Yes please.
No gang of four- Entertainment?
Black and white by The Stranglers blows everything else away to oblivion on this list I'm afraid.
pink flag by wire should have topped the list, good collection tho
+plonkgenius72 thanks. I am actually more of favor of 154 by them
Pink Flag is punk. Everything is called post-punk these days. Simon Reynold opened a Pandora's vase.
No Gang of four, magazine, melons or swell maps
Or Swans
Nohing POST about the Wipers.
you put closer a 12
seriously
that's a high ranking
closer reached #10 out of the best 80's albums on pitchfork out of all music genres not just post punk
royal nass idgaf about pitchfork lol. i clearly don't agree with their opinions.
royal nass i might do a redux version of post-punk soon. i have enough of a differing opinion from when i made this to what i think now. so stay tuned yo
royal nass hey man, like promised its up.
