That monoument is from my town, Nikšić. Its a small town located in Montenegro, a country in Southeastern Europe. It was built for the glory of fallen soliders during the WW2. This image does not show it from the right angle, but trust me, it looks much more beautiful in person
I want to see that some day.

I just love this stuff, no other genre of music has ever allowed myself to feel such a cathartic release of frustrated sadness. The music feels so real in a world full of fakeness and insincerity, so unapologetic in it's bleak but hopeful tones and it makes me feel amazing

I've loved this style of music since the first time I heard Joy Division and Wire when I was 14 in 1982. Now I listen mostly to noise and power electronics, but I'm glad to see post punk & darkwave making a comeback.
Honestly the fact the first song's title literally means "No we" completely sums up the vibe of the playlist
Amazing !!! The perfect mix between two of my passions doomer and german language , this is just bliss !!! The brutalist monument is a good choice, reminds of the Molchat Doma disk covers !! You should consider making a presentation video of the movement in Germany ! Russian doomer is well documented (Kino, then new groups...) but it would surely be really interesting about Germany too !!

Since discovering this video comp in October, I've been playing it about two or three times a week. I really love this type of post punk/dark wave music. If emotions can be translated into music for me, this comp would express it in 2022/2023.
This is a great mix. Thank you to the person who put this together. Ive just found 5 new bands to explore. I know that they are not on this mix but listening to this reminds me of EA80.

@@user-ux5wh4qj1h UK has the best rave scene in the world and really great music culture for most genres but they really don’t make that great of music. Punk rock & early EDM was their main thing

@@user-ux5wh4qj1h 100% agreed that era too; but that’s all 50+ years ago now and a lot of them were both inspired by and based in the US, they tried to mimic and create their favorite US bands and once they became good the whole British Invasion happened and meshed right in with America. Since then they kind of fell off the map musically in my opinion apart from some of their more mainstream artists like Sheeran or Adele but Germany just really has some killer fucking artists. At least in my own opinion, it’s VERY rare to hear any artist from Germany whos just like terrible whereas if you try to listen to UK Drill or their current pop, rock or metal songs… most is pretty bland and subpar in terms of current day. The only thing they still do consistently well in is electronic music

These are "Spomeniks", concrete monuments from the former United Soviet Socialist Republic, specifically in Yugoslavia, a Slovak region comprised of five different countries, now. Several monuments were commissioned over the battlefields of WWII defeating Nazi Germany.
I forgot to say Jeoffrey, if you like Brutalism then check out 1930's Russian Constructivism. Some very cool stuff can be found.

No, Post-Punk is a development of Punk which primarly took place in the UK and the USA. Of course this doesnt mean that there aren't Post-Punk musicians elsewhere. Also the "German underground" part of the title is meant to signify that all music in this Playlist is made by artists in germany or who make their music in german
