When I was 8 years old my father bought me a plastic model of a Spitfire. It was my absolute favorite toy ever. I built it and loved it. It launched my interest in aviation. I got my pilot license at age 21. I am now 54. Flying is the most wonderful thing ever.
Very inspiring story indeed I'm actually taking part in modeling competitions (small scale hot air balloons, rc cars, balsa planes and so on) since when I was probably 8 or 9 years old and for the first time ever when I placed 5th place I got a plastic model plane I was so excited and I decided to be a future pilot. Now when I'm almost 15 I have a couple of rc planes which one of them is Spitfire that I won couple of months ago. Currently I'm looking for colours to paint it. But I still want to be a pilot, can you give me advice how to become one?
Building this exact kit myself now. What a fantastic kit, nothing but a pleasure to build. WELL WORTH THE PRICE! I've got the Mk.VIII and XVIe also and can't wait to start on those. Nothing like a relaxing build after Trumpeters and Hasegawas. Perfect idea for the wireless! I'm going to use it myself - thanks! Beautiful Mk.IXc, Excellent job! Congrats!
You have absolutely without a doubt the best site for modelers on the web...I would love to visit your store...you really understand our hobby....I can't wait to build the 1/32 Spitfire and follow your course.....Thank you.!!!

I can only see part 1 and this part 20 of this build series. Where are all the rest of the videos? Just ordered this kit and wouldn't mind seeing some tips on building it.

Stunning......my only criticism is you make it look too easy lol as a novice I prefer the in depth idiot guides.Any chance of another but with some notice so I can purchase the same model and build along with you whilst watching........beautiful work
I do despise inaccurate builds. Johnson’s aircraft never has a green maple leaf. His was the same color as the other Canadian Spitfires. Johnson was mistaken in his recollections. His ground however were correct to point out his error.
It is almost impossible to tell after all these years what color the leaf was in reality. Could be red or green, that doesn't take away anything from this great build Mr. "Idodespise" rivet counter master modeler.
Having built both the Tamiya and Revell Mk IXs,I can't see the justification for Tamiya pricing theirs so high,It is a magnificent kit,but with a little time and patience, the revell spitfire can be built to a similar standard.
