Hey everyone! Any track released in June will be in the monthly showcase later this month, or early next month. So the tracks from the recent jam will be in June's video. In the meantime, what's your favorite track in this video?
ZPL is the goat of custom track creation. He knows how to do lighting, readability, and gameplay all at a high quality, not that far from Nintendo themselves. Some aspects of track design that most track creators don't put enough effort into are readability (making sure the player knows exactly what everything on the track does, and being able to predict and prepare for upcoming turns) and lighting. Despite having Dark in the name, Dark Dungeon doesn't have any visibility issues anywhere! But yeah rant over, ZPL is the goat
Thank you for showcasing Fort Francis and for the kind words everyone, I'm really happy with how it turned out. I've since updated it to include custom Meowmaid enemies, and I'm excited to see where else I can take the track in the future.
Fort Francis has to be one of the most nostalgic tracks so far! Played Super Paper Mario about 10 years ago and I remember World 3 was my favourite world because of the graphics.
Fort Francis, Fast Flowing Waterworks, Artificial Arboretum, SM64 Bowser in the Dark World, The Castle of Broken Promises, Rocky Island Rush, Sky High Sundae, Ancient Fields and Lunar Biodomes were fantastic tracks
It baffles me that there are such amazing custom tracks out there that aren't in CTGP, while there are tons of horrendous tracks/old tracks still left in CTGP
That's the problem with Ctgp for me, they won't give up those janky old tracks, especially the abomination Mushroom peaks, its really annoying since the people that does the track selection is so biased from nostalgia and won't replace the janky old ones with actual good modern tracks. These tracks will probably be already outdated or have different versions out about time they think about adding them.
Sad there's only wii tracks (would've loved some 8dx one) but nonetheless, I'm at the begining of the video and the few I've already seen are stunning !
