    the japanese society with tatemae, "be polite" the moment you cross that line, your social standing is over.
    but there is a narrow path when you are so good at it, you can use everyone's tatemae to gain benefits, everyone knows you are using them, but no one will protest. "it is a fair game, he just good at it"

    If we knew exactly when to break rules is advantageus we wouldn't need to conform, i think we conform because we fear the indefinite (or unspoken) nature and consequeqnce of the rules, if the rules were defined in some way we would know exactly when we can break them, problem is everyone acts like they know them while noone has a clear idea
