Had an 03 650 Vstar 10 years ago. Awesome bikes!!!! I've since upgraded to a Harley Ultra Limited but at times I miss my 650. My only complaint would be that they should have given them a 6th gear for the highway.
I agree. I have one of these motorcycles and I have to say that it is a little slow. I have owned three Harley's and never hade a problem at highway speeds, especially it being a pushrod engine. On my V-Star, 65 MPH is OK, but any higher, and I can tell the engine does not like that. I wish I had my old Harley back .
Great job to you and your Wife. Definitely sounds better. Ya it’s nice to hear your bike roar. When I was a young lad I was always making my cars louder buy getting rid of the converters and putting on the Turbo thrush muffles. So needless to say I get it lol. Can’t wait to see you and Trippy roaring down the road,,,
Bought a '03 650 about a month ago. Finally did the baffle delete today and it's so much better than stock. Breaking the baffles loose is the hardest part but it's worth it.
Is it okay to drill then out while the pipes are still on the bike? Just was wondering if the sparks would cause any issues with the gas, wouldnt want anything to blow! Thinking about doing this to my 2004 v star
I dont think I will do this operation to my Vstar because I am afraid it will lean out the carb, which would mean installing larger jets to make the fuel/air mix richer. Running an air cooled engine that runs lean can cause damage to the pistons and cylinder heads.
Just a lot of wiggling back and forth that I do not have the patience for LOL once you get a broken off on the inside and the next task is getting it out past the drilled holes
@@xs0u1x It was definitely tricky. We took a long flat screwdriver to it and basically banged a hole around it. Once it broke, she used the screwdriver to bend the metal in it and wiggled it out. Depends if you're working with a new exhaust or an old one too. The cobras, she unscrewed the 2 screws on the bottom and and just pulled them out.
HP and fuel mileage is worse (lower) when you eff up the factory exhaust. With no back pressure the cylinder is not fully evacuated on the exhaust stroke. A stock VS650 gets 60mpg riding at 45 to 55mph
MY EYES! I can't watch this. Taking a power tool drill to my beautiful bike. NOOOOOOO. LOL. Off to find actual open pipe slip ons! Also, cringe, please peeps, remove the damn slip ons when working on them. I'd blow them clean of all fillings. Might even be easier to work on these off the bike. ?
Heck yeah. Leave it to a woman to get the exhaust done lol. Pretty Strange both of our exhaust needed women to do LMFAO sounds much better. Lol I know that house hahaha
why do people keep doing this dumb shit ? Just to be noisy and get on other people's nerves ? Dude, you have a 650cc bike, if you want to impress people get a bigger motor instead of just making it louder.... I have a Dragstar 650 and keep it stock.. Ou of respect for my fellow riders and others around us. Also keep in mi,nd that you are dropping the counter-pressure in the exhaust, running higher risk of damaging your exhaust valves and bustin' your motor....
Lol you have yours The way u like and I'll have mine the way I like. 😉. The bike ended up getting full cobra exhaust. Shorty after this video. Cheers 🍻

Yep I say that all the time one more gear and the thing would be perfect

Hell yeah man thank you I don't know how she got it up so fast I fought with that thing for like an hour LOL chairs

Yeah for sure way better and yes this was a b and took for ever to get them out lol but so worth it cheers 🍻
I have an 04 i was thinking cutting the exhaust 🤔 save the trouble of dealing with the baffles
You needed to show video on how to get them out completely out
The deeper sound is nice.
You betcha a lot better than stock for now
Hell ya much better eh👍braappp braappp😎enjoy ya week 🥂🇨🇦
Hell yeah might be able to hear something now with trippie around
nice job Tipsy & wife 👏👍 keep going strong Cheers ✌️
Sounds good now just need some exhaust but she'll do for now
Why you all don't get a flap exhaust? So you can make it quiet eg near police and change it till you get on the highway
Hey so question,i have a vstar 650 as well. Removing the baffles doesn't affect the back pressure for the engine does it??
It worked fine for me

Your good. Plenty of room between pipes and gas tank.
Nice black n decker drill boss man 😂
Gotta do what u gotta do.
Did you have to re-jet the carbs after removing the baffles? Any backfiring after that? Thanks
No reject and no backfire. Ran better in my opinion cheers

Got mine drilled and its loose but wont come out going to try agaim tomorrow
It's a pain in the butt just got to keep on wiggling
Sounds good bro 👍
Thank you cheers
Keep er clean bud 👍 cheers
Always
You did not wiggle a weld loose I’ve got the wall out and it won’t budge.
Yeah had to wiggle the shit outta it. Was a pain
Nice! Always better with a bit more noise!
Hell yeah at least until I can get some aftermarket pipes
What was it that your wife did to get those baffles out? Thanks
Just a lot of wiggling back and forth that I do not have the patience for LOL once you get a broken off on the inside and the next task is getting it out past the drilled holes
You skipped the most important step. How the he’ll did she get them out??????????????
A lot of wiggling back and forth
How did your wife get it out? Doing the same thing to mine and I got the baffles loose just can’t seem to get it out
It's really just a lot of wiggling back and forth until they break off on the inside then it's getting it out past the hole
@@AnthonyFishervlogs yeah I’m gonna keep at it today, I’ve got the welds busted for sure it’s just getting caught on the back side I believe
I just drilled mine and can’t get them out either I guess I just need to keep trying any tips?

@@seandibble5100 is it aftermarket or stock?
Wow makes a big difference eh.
Hell yeah man cheers
After u need to sincronize the carburators or not ?
No I didn't runs mint and now I have cobra drag pipes
Istill pass inspections?
Yes I will. Here anyways
You know Trudeau will hate you for taking those baffles out 😉
How’s the difference in power after that mod?
Didn't notice any difference for power

Wow lmfao now she sounds meen. Lil time on er and you guys got er. Cheers man
Hell yeah brother cheers
Ahh whats the problem, bike is to quiet ?? lol Been there man. Just buy some slip ons man
It would have been easier to take it right off, the bike.
Slip ons are a waste of money I'd rather a full exhaust system this will do for now
Probably would of been a good idea but I ended up just getting a full exhaust
Just take the slip on off
Maybe
Heck yeah. Leave it to a woman to get the exhaust done lol. Pretty Strange both of our exhaust needed women to do LMFAO sounds much better. Lol I know that house hahaha
Yep just needs a woman's touch I guess
Go slower on the drill and see if your luck don't change
Got full exhaust how but thank you
Carbs need cleaning

@AnthonyFishervlogs cool I got same bike how did u break loose the front welds
@grainmonkey a lot of wiggling back and forth till it broke free.
