I really enjoy the tractor stories, nice to hear the older generation talk about the old days. I can think of about 7 small dairies in my area that are no longer. We do still have one bigger dairy here that makes Noosa yogurt.
Beautiful 4440. Sorry to hear about your dog. Livestock brings a smile my face, why? When we have livestock on family farms we have forage crops, when we have forage crops we have healthier soils, and so on. Best wishes in 2025, we’ll be looking forward every Friday!
nice tractor Ryan, makes me laugh pulling old drills and 4 row planters was a 50hp open station tractor job. but using the old work hores on the small jobs is nice
I wish I would have done a video like the interview videos you've done, with my dad and the first farmer i worked for. I love the stories. It's real life history. Have a Happy New Year!
Nice tractor for sure. I just bought its twin this year with the same hrs. Guaranteed never sat outside at night ever and original paint, decals and even the original key tag. One owner since new. Had a new interior installed and is nice and quiet and tight. Use it on my 1590 drill and works great. Keep up your videos. Thx
Good memories there, I agree we’re around the same age and I remember when I was a kid I thought anyone that had a 4440 was big time. We had an 856 and a John Deere 400 feed grinder
Thanks for the videos Ryan, I love them all, sorry for your loss, I also lost my dog of sixteen years a couple days ago, it’s terrible , your 4440 is an awesome tractor, keep up the good work, Happy new year
keep up the good work they sold about a billion ford series tractors but they are just kinda plain and forgotten... I lost a friend that was a ford man he was way older than me 60s vs 30s I was talking about cultivating my small corn patch with my G allis chalmers and how it took forever he told me they farmed the river bottom long flat rows they had a ford with 2 row cultivator early corn Sherman under drive just crawling .75 mile long rows made one round before lunch and one after lunch got the field done just to start over
I have a few tractors around here. Having a dozer blade or a loader seems to give those ones a bit more of a purpose than the ones with nothing besides the seeding tractor and baling tractor.
Farm equipment needs to be used not collected. We bought one tractor it wasnt used for we figured 10 or so years heater inlets were full of dead bugs and radiator was full of rust. I am not fan of rain cap niether becouse of rattle but our tractors sometimes sit outside becouse u know as many sheds u have u never have enough space for everything
Have the near sister '81 4440 that my dad bought new with difference of long rear axles with 18.4x38 Firestone duals. Paint isn't as nice as yours with twice the hours.

Good
You can call the company who makes the valve and get a new lever
What company made the lever? This works great
Enjoy your stories about the past, look forward to 2025
Shit, it’s never a good day when the dog goes. Tough one especially for the kids.
What happened to your doĝ? Was it old? I am sorry for your loss.
Kidney failure
Might be time to change the air filter on that 1066
Larry's tractors have sat for years. There's video of me getting them running.
