    1. Going into full-screen mode cut off the top part of the screen, annoying to watch, I know. My full production is visible in the top right corner. There shouldn't be anything else missing other than that.
    2. How is the sound? Increased the volume, but hopefully not too much that the background noise is annoying. Let me know please!

    Any reason why you discarded right away the tank division? Even if it has 90% to be discarded anyway, like the blue one, you can keep it in construction for no opportunity cost.

    • @NoWondersTV

      You're right, there is no reason to discard it right away. It's a bad mistake because there are situations where I could legitimately build it and have it be useful.

    Very nice explanations, thanks! I appreciate most, when you comment cards and your decision making. How many games did you play to get that good?

    • @NoWondersTV
      @NoWondersTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Roughly 500 games. Half with the base game, half with the C&A expansion

    great video thank. just rescent found this game and I love it. A bit short maybe just bc I want alot of production. But its easy in that ssense to get a couple of games in fast. And not that great at it so thanks for the little tips =)

      Thanks! I guess you could house-rule to play 5 rounds, but be prepared to run out of cubes!

    I wanted to rewatch this video and I just noticed that the last game was against your friend Revol 😀 He did a little mistake that probably cost him the game but played very well indeed 😉

    Hey, thank you for the video! Could I request you do a video where you playthrough one of the solo campaigns? I'm just getting into the game, but I'm having such a hard time getting to BGA's bronze score requirement of 75? I saw someone do a Solo play (not on BGA) where they used side A which BGA does not allow for campaign. I think my BEST run was 44 points.

      Hi! My partner in crime, Gwladys, made a video where she plays all 6 solo campaigns in one go: th-cam.com/video/J_OlOFVMB4I/w-d-xo.html
      I don't exaggerate when I say she is equal my skill level at this game, probably even better in solo mode.

    • @NoWondersTV

      Hello Duwhall, Gwladys here!
      The solo scenarios on BGA are not part of the War or Peace campaign, they're just scenarios from the base game, so yes, I always play with Side B but they're incredibly fun to play.
      I think you shouldn't feel too bad not reaching the medals ever.
      It relies a lot on your opening 2 hands in my opinion. If you can't find good production cards early, it's kinda doomed. And same later on, if you can't find point cards, there's not much you can do. Sure you can always discard 2 to draw 5 and pick 1 but even then, sometimes, you just don't find anything you need and there's nothing you can do about it so you should not feel bad.
      Also keep in mind that a good engine with a Side B card will always be worse than a good engine with a Side A card cause you're down a multiplier and that is a huge advantage that you're missing out on. I still highly dislike Side A because it forces you into a build even if none of the cards in your hand gravitate around that build. Also, I like the starting production of the Side B cards, I really don't like empires with little to no white production.
      What's great about the solo scenarios though is that it is just so quick to play you can play many quick scenarios in a row! The more you'll play, the more you'll know the cards and the more you'll see the combos more intuitively though. I sometimes see beginners discard incredibly good cards in their opening hand just because they don't see how it works or whatnot, it's normal. It just takes time to get better at the game. The BGA implementation is great too cause it will just calculate your production for you so I love it for that too! 😄
      Good luck, you'll get there eventually! And don't kick yourself down if you don't reach the medals every game!
      I am planning on making a video of the War or Peace solo campaign actually at some point. I was looking at the logistics for it yesterday actually. Not sure yet how to record it lol
      Also, the first scenario requires me to play with a Side A empire card which obviously upsets me lol.

      @@NoWondersTV Thank you both for the replies....I did watch through some of your video...more to watch later. I actually JUST got a 77 with Side A on Top the Center of the Earth! I was producing like 19 blues by the end of the game... lol. Challenge I found was trying to build big cards to always have as many places as possible to put cubes. Still ended up sending a lot to empire but it worked out.

    • @NoWondersTV
      @NoWondersTV  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@duwhall Well done! 😄🙌
      And yes, it's always good to have cards where you can send your extra cubes instead of the empire. You are totally right! Sometimes, when I have a card that would do nothing if I discard it, I just click on construct as a "just in case" mindset. For example, I have a yellow build and that leftover Zeppelin card. If I discard it, I have a blue cube that I have nothing to do with so I'll just construct the Zeppelin and see how my production goes later on. That blue production might get handy in the hand, you never know. And in the worst case, if I realise I can't build it, I'll just discard it later on. Cost me nothing to try and see later anyway.

    Have u tried solo? I feel hitting those point targets are really hard almost impossible

    • @NoWondersTV
      @NoWondersTV  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have, and you're right, it's not easy. A lot of it comes down to the card draw (especially early) and you can tell pretty quickly when a game will be successful or not.
      My wife has a playthrough of the 6 solo scenarios here: th-cam.com/video/J_OlOFVMB4I/w-d-xo.html
      Her personal bests (which she keeps updated in the comments there) are way higher than mine!

Probably one of my favorites up there with Space Base, and For Sale strategy guides. Love the real level of excitement you got over each aspect of the game. Also such high scores!

    Why do you write "gg"? It was not a "great game" for him. Is it to humiliate the opponent?

    • @NoWondersTV
      @NoWondersTV  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's a weird assumption to make. "gg" is the equivalent of shaking someone's hand after a match. It's a sign of sportsmanship and is commonplace in many online games
