    I feel like Jsnoop's strategy at the high level is doing a very good job making it unclear what he's doing in Round 1. In the first game, he made it look like he's going for a green build which he partially did go for (also took satellites in the 2nd round which is a card I rarely go for) and in the second, he could've either gone for the nuclear plant or discarded for the underwater city for a blue build. I feel like as the opponent it's very difficult to try to take cards away if you can't predict his strategy. Jsnoop also did get very lucky in Round 1 of the first game that the opponent couldn't get nuclear built and in the second game that the opponent wasn't able to get many good general multipliers.

      Very true, I had no idea what his plans were in round 1. It's certainly a different playstyle to mine, and it appears to be very successful. With the flexibility to go in any direction you really can't be blocked, and you can make use of nearly any card in the draft. Can't wait to play against him now!

      The difference between being good and great in draft games is typically that good players know the dominant strategies and execute them well but the greats know the fringe strategies as well so they are harder to hatedraft and can deal with bad options when the go-to strategy isn't available.

    I love these videos. Have recently gotten into this game on BGA, but cant break into the top 100. Hope to see more of this, assuming you still play.

      I still play! I haven't done a replay analysis for IAWW in a while. But I do stream myself playing live on BGA every Sunday. I make sure to play at least one IAWW every week and I timestamp the games so they are easy to find in a 4 hour video. Best of luck on your quest to top 100!

    Thank you sam I appreciate and share your analyse. I am very prouve of my first round. After second round he had 3 multiplier for financial so I focus on keeping supremacy, maybe too much. I made 3 mystakes after thinking : Notre taking King Salomon mine, not building saucer squadron and denied small point cards last round. I had à strong blue building and I am sad that not finding à big blue card in my hand. But I can do better than that and I Will follow the final match if you are in. I expect you can play it live and give us the rdv.

      Merci Fab! You still played very well. It was impressive how you managed to deny nearly all the generals and financiers from the best player in the world! Any big blue card was most likely the difference between winning and losing, you did get unlucky with not finding one.

    Could you please make a video about high level four player games in this game?

    • @NoWondersTV
      @NoWondersTV  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's hard to do for a couple of reasons. Firstly there just aren't that many high level 4p games out there. Nearly every player in the top 10 plays exclusively at a 2 player count. Some play arena, which is currently 3 players, I do have some arena gameplay on the channel.
      Secondly I feel in 4p games a good player will only have a small advantage over any other player. The draft is so out of your control you do need some luck to get a decent build going. Games are going to be lower scoring, and even beginners can pull out a 50 to win the game.
      So probably no video coming out on the topic, but I do have 3 tips.
      1. Generals and Financiers are pretty much useless. It's very rare you will get more than 10 of them in a game (because everyone is fighting you for production bonuses), so those General and Financier multipliers are worth a lot lot less.
      2. That means you need to secure other scoring cards when they are available. Colour multipliers and flat scoring cards are worth so much more at 4p.
      3. In 2p I encourage people to stick to one colour (yellow or blue) to maximise their Generals and Financiers. This is something you don't have to worry about in 4p games, so I think building a bit of production for every colour is a safer way to play. You have more options available from the limited amount of card you'll see.

      @@NoWondersTV I get it, thanks! I have a board game tournament coming and this game is one of the games there. Its played with four players so that is why I asked :) I have been playing a lot on BGA but it does feel pretty random sometimes.
      I think hate picking is very different with four players, often not even worth it. I have been watching your tier list video a lot also, but I realized some cards place differently with 4 players than how you rated them. Anyways, thanks for your thoughts!

      @@timoijas7496 good luck for your tournament! You’ve got the right idea. Don’t bother hate-drafting, and hope for a bit of luck. And the tier list is quite different for 4p games. Let me know how it goes :)

    I don't understand the ranking system on bga I don't see your or him in the top 10 on bga right now, what is it that is different about your leaderboard?

    • @Guudys
      @Guudys ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There's a button above the leaderboard, right of "Ranking". Click on "Current Season" and select "All time". The leaderboard you usually see is the Arena leaderboard which changes every season, the other one is overall ELO.
