Mini Vs Micro RC Crawler. RGT V2 Land Rover vs the Orlandoo Toyota Tundra

- The RGT V2 (RGT is V2, I called it V3) is IMO the Best Mini RC Crawler (Scale) that you can get. Very close to the Hobby Plus CR-24 which is also very good. Here we put the Orlandoo 1/32 Toyota Tundra scale micro crawler up against a 1/24 RGT.

As you can see, the little Micro RC Crawler was out it's depth on my 1/24 course, but it is still very capable for a tiny rc car. It needs a dedicated Micro Crawler course rather than the one i've built, which is for Mini Crawlers.

Should have said V2. The RGT is the V2, I called it the V3 by mistake. It's because it's actually the 3rd version/generation of the base truck which is also like the FTX Outback mini

Orlandoo, the shorter wheelbase Jeep type may do a little better for entry/exit angles and better center clearance just for being shorter... but there's not really a whole lot of options for tires to fit those cunning little runts. just 4 mm taller tire would be a LOT for them too.
Yes, the Jeep looks like one of the best micro ones. This Tundra ia more of a 'trail truck' than crawler
Cool truck, I've seem them do much better after mods.
Definitely needs some tinkering to be realistic for what we take 1/24 on.

I've fancied an orlandoo for a while but I can't bring myself to the cost.
Banggood have some really nice 1/32 diecast at the moment, including the Mercedes G wagon, gonna order one and try my hand at designing and 3D printing a chassis, you're welcome to take it for a test drive once I'm done.
the Orlandoo Jeep frame might be neat with a Tamiya Mitsubishi Pajero body adapted to it... are about 15 bucks eBay. snap together non RC 4WD toy like the micro Lunchbox I'd put together with a Virhuck 1/32 "chassis" and a different+modified gearbox.
@@modelnutty6503 I remember seeing the Pajero/Shogun kits, always liked that style, might try find one of them kits in the UK for a printed chassis build.

Mine just came in today. I really like it!
If you want to improve it, remove the cage (leave the sideview mirrors) and mount the spare on the hood like an old Land Rover. I did that to mine and it made a huge difference, doesn't fall backwards nearly as much! I love it

It's frustrating how these tiny little cheap trucks get way better bodies than the 10th scale stuff.

Do you know of anything smaller than a 1/32 scale that has good ground clearance. I have a large flower bed in my backyard that’s going to double as a racetrack between grows :) thanks
just in case some kids actually believe this.. there are NO 1/24 that are actually true to scale. 1/24 is actually 1/18. the only chassis that is somewhat to scale is the geko24. nothing else. its all 1/18 but sold as 1/24 just like 1/10 is anything from 1/8 to 1/12

How long does the battery lasts on these two? You could give this info on your videos. It would be really helpfull, especially on mini and micros where the battery options may be more limited.
I may spend on these if I know I can play for a reasonable time before needing a plug.
I'll be honest, I rarely use the whole battery during a video, and if I do, I don't really time it. But for these you get a very long run time, and spare batteries are very cheap.
