I just wanted to say a huge thank you to Jemma for offering to appear without makeup. Through this video, we have discovered that the worrying white patches that have appeared on my Husband hands are vitiligo! I also have to say how I am always amazed at the superb tips I learn from each and every one of your tutorials Lisa. I had assumed that "heavy" specialised foundations and concealers would be used. However with your artistry and Jemma's flawless skin, the vitiligo vanished in a soft veil of Armani!???!! l use the Luminous Silk foundation daily and will now practise using it as a concealer too. Thus solving my dilemma of never being able to find one that blends! I have to admit hitting the pause button so many times just to freeze the vision of the angelic, mesmeric Jemma in her bridal glow! STUNNING!!!!!!!!!!!! My youngest sister, now 10 years old developed vitiligo when she was 5. it's growing and becoming more and more noticeable since we are from Pakistan and have a brown skin tone. I have always treated her and made her feel that it's no problem. But my mom is not there yet, she still prays; thinks it's a disease that will go away if she prays harder for my sister...I try to talk to mom and make her understand...but you know it's hard to sometimes make parents change their mind...this video is so special to me. i cant even express...I am gona show this video to my mom :)

You never fail to impress us ❤️ I was happy to see the model showing her illness and talk about it, i have Psoriasis Vulgaris on my back and in my wedding i wanted this really simple backless dress.. i had to come up with foundation mixtures and liquid bronzers then to plot everything with a heavy powder to hide it.. it was so hard as it came out from stress and it gets worse with stress.. brave beautiful model though! ❤️ Can you please do another video for psoriasis ?! There's a whole community desperately needing help in covering those embarrassing patches 😞

Jemma, if you see this, I wanted to tell you my daughter has vitiligo. She was four when it showed up. The best thing we have found to help her face is keeping sunscreen on it. Also, some psoriasis meds have evened out the patches on her face and body. So far, since the initial occurance, we've been able ro keep it off her face now. At first, she had a large spot by her mouth into her lips and large patch around her forehead. If you don't already know, try to limit sun exposure.
Thought you handled this with class and sensitivity: talking about the model's challenges but not diminishing her in any way. Even the title of the video is just perfect. This is why you're my favorite, hands down. :)

There are SO MANY comments in this video and I don't think you'll read mine :\ but i'll try. I have psoriasis and sometimes it flares up on my face, mainly forehead. I would love to see you doing the make up of someone with the same skin issue as me - I would even model lol! Thank you, you're an inspiration.
I want to thank Jemma for showing herself barefaced even though she felt uneasy about it, and Lisa for being so classy and not assuming her model would want to completely erase all evidence of skin discoloration. I have vitiligo too, (mine started 20 years ago) but I think of myself as fortunate because as far as skin conditions go, I feel this one is of less relative impact on one's quality of life. For those who are unfamiliar with it: vitiligo doesn't hurt or itch and it's not contagious. Its causes are unknown, and as of now, does not have a cure. For many, however, developing vitiligo is a blow to their self-esteem so it's important to see people like Jemma, model Winnie Harlow, and blogger Ash Soto (who uses her skin patches as canvas for body art) embracing their uniqueness and beauty rather than hiding away. Thanks again, Lisa and Jemma, for sharing this experience with us.

Wow Lisa and Jemma thank you so much for this video. As someone who developed vitiligo at the age of 14, and no one else in the family who had it - my diagnosis was largely hormone/stress based. I suffer from anxiety and stress quite a bit and really struggle to keep myself calm sometimes. I am quite lucky in that my vitiligo spread to pretty much the entirety of my body within the space of 3/4 years. Most people do not even realise that I was not born naturally pale but rather, very tan. Thank you so much Jemma for having the courage to do this, you are gorgeous and I wish you all the happiness in the world x

There are SO MANY comments in this video and I don't think you'll read mine :\ but i'll try. I have psoriasis and sometimes it flares up on my face, mainly forehead. I would love to see you doing the make up of someone with the same skin issue as me - I would even model lol! Thank you, you're an inspiration.

I want to thank Jemma for showing herself barefaced even though she felt uneasy about it, and Lisa for being so classy and not assuming her model would want to completely erase all evidence of skin discoloration. I have vitiligo too, (mine started 20 years ago) but I think of myself as fortunate because as far as skin conditions go, I feel this one is of less relative impact on one's quality of life. For those who are unfamiliar with it: vitiligo doesn't hurt or itch and it's not contagious. Its causes are unknown, and as of now, does not have a cure. For many, however, developing vitiligo is a blow to their self-esteem so it's important to see people like Jemma, model Winnie Harlow, and blogger Ash Soto (who uses her skin patches as canvas for body art) embracing their uniqueness and beauty rather than hiding away. Thanks again, Lisa and Jemma, for sharing this experience with us.
Vitiligo is not a skin condition. It manifests via the skin.

Wow Lisa and Jemma thank you so much for this video. As someone who developed vitiligo at the age of 14, and no one else in the family who had it - my diagnosis was largely hormone/stress based. I suffer from anxiety and stress quite a bit and really struggle to keep myself calm sometimes. I am quite lucky in that my vitiligo spread to pretty much the entirety of my body within the space of 3/4 years. Most people do not even realise that I was not born naturally pale but rather, very tan. Thank you so much Jemma for having the courage to do this, you are gorgeous and I wish you all the happiness in the world x

Jemma is an incredibly naturally beautiful woman, and the vitiligo does not take away from it at all. But I get her being self-conscious about it. I have it on my knee, and judging from my older brother, I will soon get it over my face too.
