Do university provide us with accommodations or we have to arrange it ourselves,??
Hey Neelaksh, there is on campus and off campus accommodation but we have to arrange it ourselves, university does not provide it! Hope this helps :)

Hey, so in some apartments they do and some donot. But if anyone asks you, you can always let them know you are student who just came in, they would be alright with it. So, its not a matter of concern at all for new students! :)

If budget and commute is not an issue, you can see apartments in Brunswick street, they are good ones.
Besides that, I also like the Vuze, pretty high end and fancy.

Is heating cost included in rent
For some apartments it is, and for some it is not included. But I always recommend to go with ones where it is as heat is expensive and you will definitely need heat in winter. :)
Please I’ll be going to msvu and I want to know if I can stay at any of these places and the distance if it’s cool
They’re not really convenient for msvu. I’d look more along the areas of Clayton Park, Bedford Highway or Bayers Road even. Rent should be more reasonable outside of the downtown area as well

Hey, so I would recommend to use site like kijiji.ca, and also post your query in Facebook group ‘Indians in Halifax’, sometimes apartments with lease transfers show up when people are moving in general or are looking for room sharing.
Hi! I am going to SMU in January for the winter term. I am only going to stay for 1 term as an exchange student. Do you recomend staying at the SMU housing options instead of renting an apartment? Moreover, do you reccomend to buy their meal plan?

Hey, Yes you can definitely stay on campus. I usually recommend their family housing option for masters student, thats economical. Well I feel other housing options on campus is good but little expensive. But if you see a good side, it saves commute time, whole university is connected so you can easily go to classes or library internally without going out in snow.
Regards meals, I dint choose that option so I am not 100% sure but you can cook your own meals and save money there.
