Hi, Anna This is the 5th video I am watching on your channel today and TH-cam just recommended you to like 2 hours ago. I really love your videos about Halifax. and I must say you have a very calm voice, so much so that I feel like I can listen to you all day.❤❤❤
Ha Ha your right Anna, that area around South End is the most popular ,I know because I actually lived in South Park St, or South Street around from Spring Garden Rd Many Student from St Marys and Dalhousie or nova Scotia Tech and Art College used to lived around there. There used to be a restaurant called "Garden View on Spring Garden Rd that alot of students used to go. Point Pleasant Park was really nice. There were people from all over the world ,Bermuda Bahamas Caribbean South East Asian India USA Europe and China plus the local and wider Canadian contingent. Good informative video with lots of objective informative and personal perspective.
Thanks for the video Anna. I will be coming this fall for my masters and downtown halifax seems to be the perfect choice. Also, if possible, could you please a make a video or share some information on part time jobs in halifax for international students and what to expect. Thanks again for this informative video. 😊✨
Hi Anna, you make awesome videos. If you don’t mind could you please make a video on the public transportation system of Nova Scotia and specifically Halifax. I’ve heard it’s hard to commute in Halifax if you don’t own a car, also does Halifax have this bike system something that we have in Dublin….cheers
Yes, a lot of criminal is happening there. There are some not very safe areas. And if you work in Halifax it is more time consuming plus bride is not free)))
Hi Anna. I live Melbourne Australia. Have been to USA & Canda. What I cant stand is the long cold winters. Ok for a holiday but to live in cold place is to drab. Pluss have never lived in a apartment.. I live in a open plan home I built myself on acre of land covered in trees. Kangaroos my neighbours...And only 40 min drive to our great ocean rd. Stunning views & beaches. So. HALIFAX OK . but come stay with me. Experience Aussi way of life.
Hi Anna, Thx for the video. May I know the procedure what if I confirm to live the apartment I wanted, and just meet the owner and pay for it, right? Is it usually one month in advance so move in immediately? Coz I'm moving there soon
I’ve been there once, it’s really too far from Halifax. And it has very poor transit system(( And of course there are cheaper apartment than elsewhere.
Thank you! This is exactly what I wanted to know! ))) I have one more question) What can you tell us about second hands shops or some kind of charity shops? Are they popular? What prices for clothes do they have?
Yes, second hand store are quite popular. The biggest chain is Value Village. They have a huge range of products, like decor, kitchen stuff, clothes, shoes etc. The price can really vary from better quality to worse. Can’t tell you certain price, it could $5-20.

Hi, great video! Why don’t you recommend the Darmouth area? Is there any dangerous zones?
Yes, a lot of criminal is happening there. There are some not very safe areas. And if you work in Halifax it is more time consuming plus bride is not free)))

Thanks! Will do!
Where do you recommend a student with family stay? Coming to Nova Scotia community college.
There are some good neighborhoods in Dartmouth, but check the reviews.
Greetings from Cairo Egypt

Unfortunately, its true. Halifax has a lot of issues with bedbugs, rats, mice. So, please be careful, read a reviews and ask landlord about it.
@@AnnaOtro muchas gracias por la info, averiguare mas sobre el tema que tengas un buendia
Sorry,lm from Ukraine.l d like to live in Halifax.Could you tell me about the opportunity to work as a cutter, seamstress
Hmm why would you not recommend Dartmouth?
There's more open space and less crime than most parts of Halifax.
I am sharing only my experience and thoughts. Dartmouth has both good and bad, it’s just not my place)
@@AnnaOtro oh yeah of course. I was just wondering if there was something specific. Good video :)
How about Lower Sackville Anna??
I’ve been there once, it’s really too far from Halifax. And it has very poor transit system(( And of course there are cheaper apartment than elsewhere.
@@AnnaOtro is it residential and how about the crime rate.
It’s not so residential like CP or Bedford for example. Crime rate is lower than Dartmouth for sure. So I would say it’s OK 👌🏻
