They should really change the rule that Link monsters can’t be flipped faced down just because that can’t be in defense position. Just flip them face down in attack mode and treat their stats accordingly.
It's the same thing i hated about XYZ making level related cards useless for no reason. They could rule that link monsters would be destroyed if forced in defense position. I doubt links would be much worse, but many cards would not be crippled.

Beware, Final Battle doesn't double stats, it makes the stats become the sum of the original ATK/DEF of the monster. That's why it is useless to use that effect twice, btw Other than that, have you considered making a top 10 cards that take the longest time to be brought out on the field ? i.e. cards that needs multiple turns to get on the field, either because of specific conditions or because of the necessity to "rank up" cards on top of each other (example with some LV monsters)
N°1 spot would be either spirit of the pharaoh(1st sarcophagus, 2nd, 3rd and if one goes out see you next duel) or board of destiny(without the support: 4 turn to activate, and only during your turn, making it 8 whole turns with no protection to speak of)

Honestly Swords of Concealing Light is my favorite one of these things. I love how it’s just a one card Omni flip down effect, and whatever gets flipped down is paralyzed for two turns
You forgot to mention that Tsukuyomi was also used to flip Thousand-Eyes Restrict face-down so you can grab another monster and/or not be affected by the TER lockdown on attacking with your other monsters.

I was surprised the other book, eclipse I think, flips ALL monsters takedown then flips back up wasn't on the list. I would've put it in top 3 for pure best flip effect cards
I heard Flips became serious meta. Doesn't matter if Morphing Jar is limited to 1 as long as you keep changing it to face down position. Even Altergeists wouldn't scoff at this. I do love me some Scapeghost still.
I think subterrors prolly are my favorite "flip face down" effects tbh, as a person who learned duel links before the tcg, subterrors are in my top 3 favorite decks to play, especially with the handtrap n field spells as well
one of the strong thins about ghostrick Jackfrost is, that it is a non-target flip facedown and as far as i know solemn warning only negates the summon effect and not the flip face-down effect

I would argue that Fairy Tale Snow is the best flip face-down card in the game because of what it facilitates in the game. Then there was Book of Eclipse, which during the Djin Special Summon lock format, was a staple.
Hello, I have a question for you, but I need to give context before I ask... During the pandemic, I made 16 decks without an extra deck or Pendulums because I always liked the game better that way. These decks have a limitation along with the updated ban list: must have 60 cards AND must have 4 forbidden cards which includes having 3 of one card counting as a forbidden card. I did this so the decks are consistently different and so I could introduce my roommates to an immense card database and see how they think with dead draws or cards that are generally good but don’t necessarily go with a strategy (United We Stand or Raigeki or Call of the Haunted). One of the decks is an EARTH deck. It has 2 of each of these: guru, fiendess, umastryx, final battle, and The Hidden City. 1 of Archer and Cave Clash. There’s more support cards to try to search out Guru and other cards. However, no specific floodgates like Gozen Match or There Can Only be One. The past 2 times I have played my roommate, he has been so UPSET with Guru strategy that after 2 games he wants to limit final battle and ban fiendess! A salty losing friend ban! He played Chaos deck the first time and Dark deck (Lair of Darkness, Relinquished, Dark Armed Dragon, Danger!). We play tournaments with the 16 decks. One game a night! Anyways, we have a True Draco, Dino deck that we haven’t dueled with against Guru yet because the new ban list will most likely touch that whole deck, and I’ll have to adjust it accordingly with the rules I created. At 13:10 you said that Guru is the best deck with a fighting chance from the Dracos. With the limitations I have set giving the Earth deck some dead draws, is Guru a broken card when both players have no extra deck? Should I listen to my roommate and get rid of a card that is NOT on the ban list. After the first duel, I showed him THIS clip that I found the day afterwards, and he felt better about himself and his dueling abilities. Here’s the following decks I made that we are keeping statistics on to track their abilities: 3 all around decks, (no strategy, however they get one more forbidden card and Ultimate Offering. That’s 6 forbidden cards in total.) -burn deck (timelords, mystic mine, watt, chain strike, wave motion cannon, wall of revealing light) -true Draco/Dino, (Master Peace, Souleating oviraptor, Fossil Dig which should be limited tbh like ROTA, UCT, continuous spells/traps) -Monarch, -Kozmo, -Chaos (Chaos Space, Chaos Zone, BLS Beginning, CED End, Sorcerer, bunch of banish techniques) -Dragon, (blue eyes, Chaos dragon) -Spellcaster (Dark Magician, however I don’t know how to use Spellbook engine with the limitations) -Warrior (Immortal Phoenix gearfried, War Rock Bashelios, equip spells) -fiend (Unchained Abominable Soul, Vanity’s, Majesty’s, Floodgates, Hand traps) -Light fairy (counter traps, Parshath, a tweaked Guiding Ariadne which is the one card I modified because it’s pendulum and the deck revolves around it. 3 Guiding Ariadne) -dark (Lair of Darkness, Relinquished, Dark Armed Dragon, Danger!, Lilith, Darkest Diabolos, normal traps) -earth (Alpha Master of Beasts, Guru, Superheavy Samurai Big Benkei, Pot of the Forbidden, Block Dragon, Redox Dragon Ruler of Boulders, Guardian Sphinx) -water (graydle, Atlantean, paleozoic, the legendary fisherman 3) Out of these decks, knowing what you know and could safely assume with the knowledge that I have attained from watching ALL of your videos, which deck would you think would win on average the most? One last note: each deck has a theme that I follow. I would put Change of Heart in a Chaos deck or a Kozmo deck (light side and dark side of the force), but not a water deck. I would put ice dragons prison in the dragon deck and the water deck, but not the light fairy deck. These are just two small examples.
Floodgate Trap Hole, Invoked Raidjin, Book of Eclipse, and Prediction Princess Tarotrei are all additional excellent cards that could have made the list. Honorable mention to Castel, The Skyblaster Musketeer for the same reason as Spellbook of Fate.

The only interaction you can use facedown with the extra deck is fusion. You can fuse them face down as long as it fits the material requirements because it sends card to the grave first as an effect.

It’s a card so powerful, an errata to change it’s broken aspect was made in 2017, 13 years after it was released, rather than make a reprint to fix it. Darkness Approaches: Discard 2 cards from your hand. Select 1 face-up monster and flip it face-down, but do not change its battle position. People would play this with any Flipping Monster who had higher attack than defense. Slate Warrior was an old one, but what about Tidangle, Shaddoll, and Subterror cards?

The first Xyz custom card I made this year flips cards face-down. 2 Level 3 WATER monsters Once per turn (Quick Effect): You can detach 1 material from this card; flip up to 2 monsters your opponent controls face-down, and if you do, this turn, they cannot be flip summoned or flipped face-up by card effect, except for the effects of Spells. If this card has no material attached to it, it can attack your opponent directly.

I think Exodia decks would pretty much stay the same, you really only want one copy of each part. They're the only cards to be banned for lore reasons.
The effect of Subterror Final Battle is not to double the attack and defence of a Subterr monster, the monsters ATK and DEF both become the total of that Subterrors ORIGINAL ATK and DEF So Guru for example would go from 1600/1800 to 3400/3400 Umastryx would go from 2000/2700 to 4700/4700 and so on.

Link Evolution is based of the OCG Card Releases. And Guru was only available in the OCG as a Jump Promo Card 2017. Jump Promo Cards are not in Link Evolution. Guru was also in the TCG Version of Savage Strike and Battle of Legend:Heros Revenge. But not in the OCG... only in the TCG. So it could be problematic, that Guru is in the Game after the Update :( But i really hope, he can do it somehow...
That subterror-trap doesn‘t double the stats. The chosen subterror-monster gains atk equal to its def and def equal to its atk. A comment below mentioned it as well.

People would play this with any Flipping Monster who had higher attack than defense. Slate Warrior was an old one, but what about Tidangle, Shaddoll, and Subterror cards?

I think Exodia decks would pretty much stay the same, you really only want one copy of each part. They're the only cards to be banned for lore reasons.

The effect of Subterror Final Battle is not to double the attack and defence of a Subterr monster, the monsters ATK and DEF both become the total of that Subterrors ORIGINAL ATK and DEF
So Guru for example would go from 1600/1800 to 3400/3400
Umastryx would go from 2000/2700 to 4700/4700 and so on.

Personally I think "world legacy pawns" should have been somewhere in the list. It works pretty well with the subterror cards and the krawlers.

Due to the way it's send effect is worded: the burn is the cost, not the send to grave. Makes some stuff get really dumb

The monster gains ATK off of how much DEF it has and vice versa.
All in all, good stuff

Link Evolution is based of the OCG Card Releases.
And Guru was only available in the OCG as a Jump Promo Card 2017. Jump Promo Cards are not in Link Evolution.
Guru was also in the TCG Version of Savage Strike and Battle of Legend:Heros Revenge. But not in the OCG... only in the TCG.
So it could be problematic, that Guru is in the Game after the Update :(

That subterror-trap doesn‘t double the stats. The chosen subterror-monster gains atk equal to its def and def equal to its atk. A comment below mentioned it as well.
Actually, the condition for UCT's removal effect is to inflict 1000 damage first.
Hence, "if you do".
