It's sounds like still got the blues, even the notes of the song sounds good, I know that this is not the chords that actually have the progression of still got the blues, in fact it reminds me to Peligroso Amor of the Mexican Guitarrist Julio Revueltas, I played that song 2 years ago, and I remember that the solo section of the song, has this chord progression including that percussion and the organ. :)

D Dorian actually has all the same notes as A Minor, just sayin... :P
that's correct....
Not played in the same order of tones and semi-tones, which changes the tonal center of the scale, making it sound different from the A minor or C major scale, even though they're all the same group of notes
I just played something mighty beautiful by swapping freely between pentatonic A minor (actually blues scale, including the added 4th sound), D dorian and C lydian.

Somebody please help me understand this. It's an Am but it starts on the Dm... The resolution at the end with the A7 feels like a V chord so I'm confused. Are we supposed to play in a mode for this?

Its in D actually, because the A is sounding like fifth
seems as if it's in A min because of the C maj, Amin, B 1/2 dim, Dmin, all of those chords are in Amin...
It's in the Key of A Minor, relative minor of C major, but you can use the D dorian Mode,
Both the E7 and A7 sound like the 5th chord ending the progression, thats weird
why i'm jamming on D instead of A
