suhhhh-WEEEEEEEEEEEET!!!!!!!! Man I'm in early 60's, grew up in the jazz scene from NYC to Baltimore and DC, had a few years of AfroLatin music shows on FM radio, was leader of a 6-9 piece band many years, and the first time I'd even heard the name "Snowy White" was about 7 years ago from a stumbled-upon mp3 titled "Bird of Paradise". My ma is one of the original hippest chics on the planet, still very alive and well at 85, turned me on to everything from Ravi Shankar to Pink Floyd, Rimsky-Korzakov to Janis Joplin, so much more. She says, years later, she can't get enough of Snowy's "Bird of Paradise". THIS track is gonna be the perfect jam track for her to explore the instrument at a perfect pace. Thanks for your extraordinary excellence, man.
Never heard a guitarist do something like clapton. Not only is one note sufficient to realize it is Eric that is playing, no one has ever done solos and phrasing like him
Sory mate was meant for another song, I shot the sheriff 2004 crossroads, but it got mixed. Though great backing track. btw could you do one for cocaine? There’s a great version in Spotify at the 1978 civic auditorium, the album cover is the blackie strat
Another killer emotional track Renzo! Thanks man! I'm glad I have a way to escape for a little while, playing the guitar. There's nothing in the world like it! Thanks again for bringing us These gifts of music. God Bless and take care!🙏❤️❤️🙏❤️🎸🤟😝🤟👍
I got caught up in having to be drunk stonex or smaked to create when music is a better high than anything so glad my eyes were opened .Music is a gift that never ends.
This is so good man, finaly i can just concentrate on playing the guitar instead of using ours, trying to build up a solid backing track. I think I actually played the most beautiful thing I ever played when this came on the first note just hit it like instantly perfect.
One of the best honest backing tracks I heard in a decade. Gives me Gary Moore Roy Buchanan Vibes. But hard to play if you are not able to use notes the right way like persons who are sick of metal hehe I Love it!
Thanks for all your excellent backing tracks. This one is exceptional awesome and you make me sound like the killer rock star that I always dreamed about being. Thanks again
@@nowyoushred Please do! It's made me realize that I have the physical ability to play much better than I ever imagined and motivated me to dedicate a bit more to actually learning.
I wish to make another comment. Im thinking about reporting this to TH-cam, Im trying to get some friggin work done but I keep being pulled into submission by this piece of music.
working on the 5th position and then on the whole neck, that's good, it allowed to hear the progression of the sound, up and down, it takes practice but i think it's better than randomly playing all the notes available and forcing them into a phrase or melody. was that the aim? really cool to keep practicing on!
Yes, absolutely! The point is, through repetition, to realize that the same patterns appear all over the guitar neck. If you do it enough, you will begin to associate sounds with the shapes. The thing is you have to actually pay attention when you are playing, and not just zone out and noodle!
dude I really like the chords you use here such a tasty sound as well as the visuals here while its playing love it man. I like your style of backing tracks. These go hard!!! keep it up for us all hahahah
Can someone rell me what this is based off... Part of me thinking Gary Moore then i get floyd vibes then also about ten other bands... amaxing chprd progression... love the Am to G6 to Dadd9... sustained notes are perfect, especially the subtle harmonics ringing over the top... perfect mate, thankyou for all your hard work. Someone please help me pick the song that inspired this? ... i have about four in mind and i cant for the life of me work it out... yet so familiar...
So, goofy question here. Id like to make a full song using some of this, but dont want to get hit with copyright. Thinking about using it on my first EP as im only solo right now. Who do i give credit to for the backing track part?
@@nowyoushred eh, no. I have no fans 🤣. No distribution or monetization will happen anytime soon. That's not saying it won't happen at SOME point, but as of anytime soon, I don't forsee that happening.
Technically, I don't think you can "own" these types of patterns anymore since there are hundreds of the exact same chord patterns and melodies, both written, recorded and published over the decades. Don't get me wrong, I think it's a great pattern and you did a great job but this exact song has been written and played many many times.
@@nowyoushred Well, it seems there's an attempt at the top to take copywrite ownership. It offers permission to use as long as money isn't involved...as if it's an original composition when, in fact, this chord structure has been used many times in both Blues and Rock. It sounds great but it has been used before.
@@bluzzedude8111 I mean, are you allowed to make money at a gig? Are you allowed to get paid for a recording session? Should you have to pay for guitar lessons? Are you allowed to get paid for studio work? Is Buddy Miles allowed to make money off a Neil Young cover? Can Eric Clapton make money from his recording of Crossroads? I don't think Taylor Swift is breaking any new ground. Should she get any money?
@@Alpha_Jams You're COMPLETELY missing my point brother. I'm talking about tried & true chord patterns used in a zillion other songs. Who said ANYTHING about YOU and MONEY? I was just pointing out some very real points. You CANNOT OWN a I-IV-V Blues arrangement anymore because so many have been published. Sure, you can own the words but someone else can legally use the exact same chords, key and tempo and simply change the words and there's nothing that can be done in a legal sense.
The taco truck next store didn't invent Tacos, but they make them and sell them for money. Now I know Tacos are not Intellectual property, but I still did some work and I hope to make a couple bucks of it. I mean, the tracks didn't record themselves and post themselves on TH-cam. Now I suppose you could use it and "nothing could be done" in a legal sense, but that's not very ethical, is it?
