Thanks for this track (and several others, too)! I don't consider myself much of a guitarist, but now I've landed as a lead & solo guitarist and decided to start improving my lead&solo technique and these have been very helpful! I particularly liked this one since it works insanely well when you combine Dorian and Frygian scales! This track may well one day be my first stepstone towards modal playing, too!

I've found that alternating back and fourth between the A Dorian mode and the D Major is highly effective in creating a unique feel.
Thanks for the tip. I have been using A blues and A dorian, but the D major is a fresh approach for me.

A dorian or G magor or E minor they all share the same notes .identical notes .A pentatonic blues . and A pentatonic also go well. As well as A minor for a short period of time JUST except the F note while the D chord is being strummed. :)

Why does C# sound good over this? I know its not in the scale but it gives a nice warm feel when you solo using that note

Hi! Great backtrack! I have a technical-theorical question: which is the tone of the secuence? If I'm soloing in Am I'm sounding like dorian?? What about if I play a solo in Em? Thanks!
I'm pretty sure soloing in Em/G would make this Dorian, if you solo'd in Am it would be Am.
