    The 3D Ai world seems to be gaining speed by the day. I know its been a few months or more where nothing really exciting changed - seems if one makes progress, they all do. I do some 3D work and using this to create some secondary assets will be huge for workflow and speed. Also, I feel you on the blind bags - we also have quite the collection scattered throughout our house.

      I'm really excited by all the advancements in 3D-- I think that's a real rosetta stone in terms of AI Filmmaking, at least in terms of full camera control and action. I don't think we'll ever really get to the level of control that will make all of us happy w/ prompting alone. All of which is to say: I'm brushing up on my 3D skills! I'm pretty much pedestrian at best-- I mean, it requires so many additional skillsets-- but its looking like AI will be able to plug those holes.
      ...and damn to whomever invented blind bags. Damn them.

    "They're cute, they just don't listen to directions" - This made my day, thank you.
    Progression in the AI space is at a rapid pace, which I think is fantastic and mostly good for humanity. I actually want to attempt creating a 2D and 3D game with AI assets and coding assistance in JavaScript using Svelte/Sveltekit and document the entire process to see whether it is possible yet and what kind of finished product comes out of it. You definitely helped with this idea with the tools you've shown here, so thank you. You gained a new subscriber too.

      Oh, great timing! I’ve actually got a video on creating a game coming up next week! Not anywhere near as elaborate as yours (and it might still be a bit broken by the time I shoot) but I am stunned at the fact that I made a game from scratch, with no knowledge whatsoever about how to code, or even what tools I would need to use!
      And the great part: I ended up learning a ton in the process!

      That’s awesome! And I’ll be circling back to you for a longer video soon. I was experimenting with format for this one, and trying to keep it as quick, yet informative as possible. But I’d love to spend a little more time generating some stuff up to showcase what you can really do with Mootion!

      Oh. Thank you! I think that info was from an article I read! I’ll try to find it so that can be corrected!
      OR…we just wait and everyone can be extra surprised when it drops! No one complains about being early!

    I created 250- polygon VR environments in 1993 running off of hacked Nintento Power Gloves, and this stuff blows my mind. Snowcrash author started a VR thing two years ago that was way too ambitious. This will cut down their time to market, along with everyone else. There will always be a need for talented devs, but for the rest of us, we'll be dictating movie ideas to Siri and have the finished product in no time. Prepare for the Unity and other software package devs to tell us how important they still are, understandable fear and concern.

    Thanks for the video and for keeping us up to date. text to 3D will be way over my head, even when it really hits. I just know it! To those who know the whole Blender, Unreal, [insert whatever other software] etc. 💯

    • @TheoreticallyMedia
      @TheoreticallyMedia  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The Mario/Otter connection we've always needed to make!
      And I don't know-- I'd say to start checking out a few Blender Tutorials (I mean, it is free after all)-- To be honest, I think once you get the basic layout of controls, a lot of the upcoming AI tools can handle the rest. We've got Text to Character, Text to Environment (or using Splats), and now we can Text Prompt Characters! Not much else but the creative stuff!
      (Granted, I say that as someone who needs to crash course Blender over the next month, so if you take this on, I'll be joining you! ha!)

      It’s funny, I was thinking about the fact that DeepMotion probably has a great library of character motion data, just based off the fact that they have the Video Motion component. Like, that video of the woman fencing, now is part of their motion set (If it wasn’t already)- kind of a brilliant move.
      But yeah, jump into as many betas as you can. It’s the best way to learn these tools and get an idea of where everything is headed!

  • @idontknow8898

    As a 3D artist, this is really cool, but also scary! The stability comment feels a bit un-empathetic to the people who's careers may be affected by their tool. I feel there needs to be a line in the sand where it doesn't encourage bad production practices. There's great pleasure for artist in creating assets and not just mindlessly churning them out, which is how midjourney feels sometimes.
    That being said, for secondary assets, props, and other menial objects, this is definitely perfect! Bring me my big pile of junk! 😂

    • @TheoreticallyMedia
      @TheoreticallyMedia  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Haha, it looks like we’re coming into the age of massive amounts of B-Assets in every game! 7000 loot boxes, but they all look different!
      From what I’m seeing, 2024 is going to be the year that AI blazes into the 3D space. Initially, I think there will be a lot of fear, but as the tools develop, we’ll see that, no matter how quickly the AI generates, it’ll still require a human artist at a number of points in the process.
      For sure, there will be studios that just churn out wholly AI generated stuff, but those are going to quickly be seen as…well, I guess the video equivalent would be those AI Hosted videos. They’re getting better, but they still lack that something extra.
      On a games front: a big positive I keep thinking about is Stardew Valley. Not sure if you’re familiar with it, but it’s a very lovely game. Simple, in that it sort of has that old school 16-bit style. But the kind of amazing part about it was that the game’s sole author is one person.
      And that’s where we are with AI right now. You can use a LLM to help you program a game, you can create assets, you can use an Ai to generate your music…you could script with it too, but I don’t think that’s a good way to go.
      Basically, everyone can make a Stardew Valley, but it will still take a TON of work. And..it still has to be captivating and creative. There were a thousand Stardew knockoffs following its success, but none of them are noteworthy.
      I don’t know, my take on AI is: you can be afraid of it, or you can go the other direction and realize how many opportunities it opens up for you.

      I was saying earlier that I think AI3D is going to be pivotal for AI filmmaking in the near future.
      I imagine within the next few years we’ll have something like Midjourney, but video 3d, with virtual actors that we can prompt.
      And that’s not even touching VR. It is all fairly mind blowing.

  • @ClaudioMalagrino
    @ClaudioMalagrino 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I see that we are 5 to 10 years from generating something useful in 3D. Maybe this is not the way, but maintaining consistency between frames is the key, as AI is basically a 2D projection technology.
    Thank you for the video!
