Just started using 1.5 model, and I must say I love it. The details are rich, movements are more refined, and generation time has been improved. Personally, I like it more than Runway
The only current issue I'm seeing is in the hands. Something seems to be borked there. But, I'm sure they'll get it worked out pretty soon. Yeah, Kling is killing it.
Speaking of Runway, and yes, I agree, Kling generates superior results more often than not, and with fewer attempts than Runway. I've been using Tim's Minimax Cinemotion Prompter GPT within Runway since you can fit a lot more in the max. 500-character prompt description box with the translated Chinese prompt. Thanks for your GPT, Tim!! I use it all the time!
Amazing as always. One of the funniest ones yet from Renfeld's Yar to Godzilla' spray to mention. Great info and LOVE your sens of humor Tim! Thank you!
The motion brush is what I am most excited about, yesterday I burned 450 credits trying to get a monster to turn his head to the side for a shot I needed in my AI short.
Here's hoping their video editor allows you to storyboard with your start and end image keyframes, and that you can just progressively pull them into the img2video prompt as you work your way down the timeline. Would be an awesome workflow The motion brush is amazing
Great job once again. You are always my go-to guy to keep me up-to-date on the latest AI programs. I definitely liked your comment about her seeing her latest bank statement, I seem to add a new video generator program every week or move up to the next level, starting to cost a lot.

If they let you generate the image keyframes right there with a high level of control with tools like ControlNet and IPAdapter, even better
Amazing enhancement for Kling AI 1.5. I have been generating almost 50 videos since yesterday. I was amazed by the quality and natural movements. But the same thing happens with V1. It was very good at the beginning, but it started later to ignore prompting and create weird stuff.
Thanks for making this Tim. I felt Kling 1.0 was a bit too much hype, but it looks like this is a good step, so I'll give it another go. I still think we're months away from AI seeing widespread use (eg. advertising, stock footage, TV, films, etc.), and bandwidth and sheer computation power are going to be a gauntlet as well. 2025 will be a very interesting year.
MiniMax is STILL better lol even after all of this, as far as the quality of generation goes. The only thing Kling has more is the features. One MiniMax gets new features it will pretty much wipe Kling out. Still nothing comes close to the quality of MiniMax. I'm not sure how they did it but MiniMax video generations almost have no morphing at all.
1000%! Love how you are pushing this technology in your work! Honing in on the emotional side is such an important aspect for these video models to become useful in storytelling!
Sora is procrastinating way too hard it will so outdated when it comes out, everyone else who have models open to the public is already beating it in terms of quality XD
Right now I think that a stack of Kling and another video generator as a backup, plus any one of the image generators is all you need. You can pretty much get all you need for music on the Udio/Suno free plans- 100% set to at least make music videos right there.
There’s almost too much to choose from( whoa are we ) I havnt dived into music Udio/Suno yet . Using MJ +Kling+eleven labs+capcut( excellent fun) + Topaz , to make short videos . Have a great day.

oh, I'll have to go back and watch that. A few months ago I watched Minus Zero (so good) and that second Kong/Godzilla movie. Obviously Minus Zero was the far superior movie, but the KxG one was kind of stupid fun too.

The problem with Kling is they don't respond to emails, and there seems no way to unsubscribe. The unsubscribe button gives an option to get some kind of login link, yet you're already logged in, that does nothing if you press it, no email, and the next subscription date remains unchanged.. so in short AVOID

I think I was the first person on YT to cover them-- but it's a total black box. That said, they just started becoming more active on Twitter (I think they might have hired someone for social), so hopefully they'll get it together on that front. I tend to think a lot of these AI companies are A) smaller than you think (Minimax for example is 6 people)-- and they tend to come from computer science backgrounds-- and when a "hit" happens, they really don't know how to deal w/ the rush. Like, Kling was a total mess on launch just trying to get payment happening. People were trying to throw money at them, but they had no way of taking it. Haha.
Haha, I mean, the knowledge is always good to have-- but, yeah-- Comfy workflows, aside from the time it takes to build them-- can also be costly in terms of building a machine to run it. Plus, you've got to deal w/ training data (esp w/ video) and all the other upkeep. It can be done-- but, it is also a part time job.
I'm really fascinated by the AI advancements lately, allowing people to do amazing things in areas that we have little to no experience or skill on. But I'm just worried by how it will affect the tech market (and is already affecting) since it can replace so many workers
That it can replace workers is a problem, but not the biggest. As this generative AI technology advances a point will be reached that everyone will have to put question marks by all audio and video and the combination of these two. Imagine a world where you have to question everything that is being presented on paper, on a screen or through a loudspeaker. That, to me, is hell.....
@@MrDutch1968 I concur with the impending chaos you describe. Of course, when it’s actually your job or mine on the line, it will truly become the biggest problem, no? However, I am hesitant to extrapolate the magical, exponential evolution of AI technology in such a short period, given that AI models aren’t actually thinking or reasoning. Nothing in my personal review of computer science literature has led me to believe that such advances have been made. It has much use with the free account - understandably. Video generation "stopped" at 99% for hours, possibly it was slowed down intentionally and I'll get something maybe tomorrow. I get it, computing is not free.
Ugh-- those things are a nightmare. I think people were having luck by switching to a different browser (Firefox/Chrome/Edge or whatever)-- It seems to be more of a web/browser thing.
Are you sure? I'm just looking at the Godzilla download, and Quicktime is reading it as 1920x1080-- That said, I didn't here, but I usually run my AI outputs through Topaz after anyhow...
@@TheoreticallyMedia I was re checking, and sometimes it's 1920x1080, and sometimes 1888x1056, don't know on what depends that. But amazing improvement in image quality and details also.
Pro/paid is much faster. That said, the servers are getting slammed as of yesterday. During a big rush (like this was) I'd say somewhere around 3 to 5 mins per. When it is acting normally, I'd say around 1 minute.
The fact you can use it with a phone and tablet, but you can only buy credits on a desktop, is dumb. All I wanted to do was check the pricing, and I can't even do that because I need a desktop
Yeah, they're a mess on that front. I don't think they expected widespread international users. If you go back to my first video on them, it's clear that the intended market was China. I think we took them by surprise, and ever since they've been trying to get it together for a world market.
Kling 1.5 is very good, but there is no continued generation.hopefully this will be fixed in the near future. I assume that when you specify the direction of movement, you have to write in the promt that movement. Because the down arrow may indicate the direction to the camera forward horizontally. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Also in the negative promt you can write “man, woman ...” if you want to generate a person, but not many people in the frame. Good generation, everybody.
We'll see extensions soon. I do think that (outside of a few "money" shots) 10 seconds is fairly good. But, yeah-- real cinematic establishing shots, or really moody things require an extra 10 to 20 seconds.
is 1.5 only available for Pro and Premier subscribers? I’m on standard plan and don’t see any way to switch from 1.0 to 1.5 so I can try out the motion brush feature.
There’s a switcher at the top of the screen, kind of to the left. I should have mentioned that, it’s kind of unintuitive. You should see either Kling 1.0 or 1.5 and if you click it, it turns into a pull down option. Again, it is fairly easy to overlook
I tried Kling starting last early week. Exactly 1 generation actually finished, and that took nearly 5 days. All the others eventually (after days) failed.
If you know how to generate decent images then you get a lot more of what you want, been using kling for a while.. good video thank you, nice ot see what others are discovering
Hi, how are you getting the same character each video? (e.g. the hitman guy in the videos) Is that feature embedded or are you doing some type of workaround to get those results?
Shame you can't try v1.5 for free and need to pay up front to see if it's worth using. oh well, back to minimax and luma combo with/without frame snapshots from amazing moonvalley clips I made over the last 12 months. Checking out v1.0, might as well YT is clogged up with Kling vids lately
Hmmm-- might be adblock related? Try pausing it on the site? I know man, those things are the bane of my existence. I've heard from a few people that it's causing them issues. I didn't have any trouble-- I'm using the Arc Browser-- which, if you haven't looked into is pretty awesome. Not affiliated with them or anything-- it's just one that I came across and now I totally love.
I hear you. At some point I need to audit all the services I’m signed up to…but I’m also wary of finding out how much money is going out the door! Why am I still subscribed to Paramount Plus?!!
Has anybody done a short film or longer using this tools already? I’m curious to see how people end up using this outside of doing short clips with no context
KLING 1.0 was absolute trash. You should see my Dr Who entering a breakdance competition monstrosity 😅 Got my fingers crossed for 1.5, I'll have a dabble later today.
is the img to video section still bugged ? Because so far no matter what browser i use it's stuck at 99 % during days and after that theres is a failed message
On the list for another video! Kaiju and Mechs work really well with video generators, namely because they play into the “weakness” of slower movement.
Anybody knows of a model that would let us upload a pic of a person smiling and take the smile away so they're not smiling anymore, everything else remaining the same?

1.5 already online now,but members only, brush function is free
Tim , you are handsome, and much better than ai man😊
Haha, thank you-- but, AI Guy has that really expensive haircut!
I can't get the puzzle bit to move to pass security
Ugh-- those things are a nightmare. I think people were having luck by switching to a different browser (Firefox/Chrome/Edge or whatever)-- It seems to be more of a web/browser thing.
On professional it's 1888x1056 ... not 1080 HD yet, but very close.
Are you sure? I'm just looking at the Godzilla download, and Quicktime is reading it as 1920x1080--
That said, I didn't here, but I usually run my AI outputs through Topaz after anyhow...
@@TheoreticallyMedia I was re checking, and sometimes it's 1920x1080, and sometimes 1888x1056, don't know on what depends that. But amazing improvement in image quality and details also.
How long is it taking to generate videos? It’s taking hours to create one. Does professional happen faster ?
Pro/paid is much faster. That said, the servers are getting slammed as of yesterday. During a big rush (like this was) I'd say somewhere around 3 to 5 mins per. When it is acting normally, I'd say around 1 minute.
The fact you can use it with a phone and tablet, but you can only buy credits on a desktop, is dumb. All I wanted to do was check the pricing, and I can't even do that because I need a desktop
Yep
Switch to desktop mode on your browser?
@@Muz889 Didn't know that was a thing. Thanks, that worked
Nothing beats RunwayML
I think you should use silhouettes for characters that are not the main character of the video
Can't wait to see more harry potter AI memes from this.
is 1.5 only available for Pro and Premier subscribers? I’m on standard plan and don’t see any way to switch from 1.0 to 1.5 so I can try out the motion brush feature.
There’s a switcher at the top of the screen, kind of to the left. I should have mentioned that, it’s kind of unintuitive. You should see either Kling 1.0 or 1.5 and if you click it, it turns into a pull down option.
Again, it is fairly easy to overlook
This channel rocks, keep up the great work
I tried Kling starting last early week. Exactly 1 generation actually finished, and that took nearly 5 days. All the others eventually (after days) failed.
Free version? I'll admit, the free version gets throttled pretty hard.
@@TheoreticallyMedia Well, yes... I'd like to see some results before plunking money down.
Thanks 🙏
Hello. Do you know how a person can use prompts to make enough Kling shots to make a trailer or a short film with consistent characters
I’m on Kling’s free plan and until now after four days my generation is still in processing. This doesn’t excite me to sub. I’ll go to haiper instead.
Thus far I have only managed to generate a short clip on the free version. It constantly sits for days at a time at 99% before failing.
Back to this question again. Do the videos created have consistent characters, location, and wardrobe?
Not yet, but we've seen some movement on that end from Vidu-- so it is doable. Hopefully soon.
12:32 Lmaoooo saw that joke coming from a city block away 🤣
Haha- Eh, sometimes you gotta go with the low hanging diaper!
If you know how to generate decent images then you get a lot more of what you want, been using kling for a while.. good video thank you, nice ot see what others are discovering
How do you even use it? There's no enter button or anything. I'm just stuck wanting to generate when I can't
Hi, how are you getting the same character each video? (e.g. the hitman guy in the videos) Is that feature embedded or are you doing some type of workaround to get those results?
Image to video prompting
How long has the video editor been on Kling mobile?
pretty much since launch. I think it's a port over from their main app, Kwaicut, which is a TikTok rival in China.
9:12 Runway does it really well.
Would like to subscribe to both Kling and Midjourney but trying to determine how long I can then survive without food money.
Definitely gonna give this a try - I just finished my 2nd AI video trailer. Let me know what you think of the latest one 🙏
Can you please provide the link to Kling site?
how does the quality compare to Minimax?
this man Time has so many jokes
Haha, watching it back, I was a little saucy today!
KLING 1.0 was absolute trash. You should see my Dr Who entering a breakdance competition monstrosity 😅
Got my fingers crossed for 1.5, I'll have a dabble later today.
is the img to video section still bugged ? Because so far no matter what browser i use it's stuck at 99 % during days and after that theres is a failed message
WOW! Big FANX!
1000%!!
does the "add static area" button in the motion brush section work for anyone? It doesn´t for me.
does kling have character continuity?
good video thx. subscribed.
Do a Kaiju attack.
On the list for another video! Kaiju and Mechs work really well with video generators, namely because they play into the “weakness” of slower movement.
@@TheoreticallyMedia don't tell the director of the last two monsterverse movies that.
i liked the godzilla scene
Anybody knows of a model that would let us upload a pic of a person smiling and take the smile away so they're not smiling anymore, everything else remaining the same?
Does it have character consistency
