I was17years old in 1973 and my brother had just bought on vinyl DSOTM we both had never heard it.He put it on the stereo put the needle down and from that moment our attitudes to music changed, both of us had never heard music like it we where just stunned.I am 67 now and I will never forget that moment. I know exactly how you feel when listening to these songs for the first time.

I don't know what it is but even after the 1000th time listening to Dark Side of The Moon, it never gets old. This album just has an impact on my life that can't be explained in words.

You said you were on a journey this time. I was a Navy Corpsman (medic) in Viet Nam when Dark Side of the Moon came out (1973). Everyone I knew had the album and played it over and over. Never tired of it. Some people call their music an "experience" some call it a "journey". I call it an "adventure" as it includes both and is an adventure you don't want to end. In all these years I have never tired of it.

Im 63 years old, seen the floyd 5 times, They never cease to amaze me, but in my day music was created, unlike today, manufactured. sad but true.

Dick Pary is the legendary saxophonist that played with Floyd on many iconic records. He really is such an underrated part of the magic of Pink Floyd. Cheers brother 🍻

One thing that fills me with hope in this crazy, divided world is seeing how the discovery of music brings joy and togetherness to all kinds of people all over the world. We are way more alike than different, and this song really illustrates that, as does your channel. The pure appreciation of great music. Much love, from Arizona, USA ❤

It's incredible that 'The Dark Side of the Moon' holds the record of more than 900 weeks in the US Bilboard 200 charts. One hell of an achievement.

The sax solo in this one does what a David Gilmour guitar solo usually does. Floyd is so multi faceted they are amazing. Your reactions are spot on.

Oh Mark. I've had a crap day full of sadness and tears so I thought I'd check to see what you were up to. Watching you react to Us and Them made me smile for the first time of the day. I sang along and shed happy tears. BUT the look on your face when the song ended made me burst out laughing! Kinda like when my teenage son doesn't get his own way. You are definitely right... PF's music is like riding a rollercoaster of emotions. Thanks sooo much for letting us take that ride with you all over again!

Just came across your channel today. Absolutely addicted. As a Pink Floyd fan, watching someone who is experiencing this music for the first time is a joy to watch.

This song is so fun to play live on an acoustic guitar.

I'm a 63-year-old who is rediscovering Pink Floyd after being away from them for a while. I remember having their albums when I was in high school that came out in the early '70s which were Meddle and then Dark Sde and then Wish You Wete Here

Thanks for taking us all along to the first time WE heard PF - the excitement, anticipation and awe at the brilliance of their music make it as fresh as when I first heard it 50 years ago. Seriously, thank you for this.

These lyrics are timeless, and the music is still incredible, over 50 years later. I don't know how they did it.
