It means we shouldn't turn away from those who are poor, suffering, etc. "In a world that we all must share, not enough just to stand and stare." The live version of this song from 1988 is masterful. Hope you also check it out.
It's better at the Pulse concert remastered
It's better at the Delicate Sound of Thunder concert.
th-cam.com/video/xEMy34qhQe4/w-d-xo.html
Oh, hi there Mary Margaret. Have you seen the claymation video featuring L.A.'s homeless 'street people' ? Of course you have, what am I saying. Anyway, high again🙋
@@anita3018 I thought they only played this once or twice on the Division Bell tour and it wasn’t on the Pulse video?? I may need to look again
Another amazing reaction. Takes me back... I can't find this anywhere on the Pulse concert, more's the pity. I totally agree, the remastered version on Delicate Sound of Thunder is on another level. In fact, as soon as I saw this reaction I just HAD to go watch it... bliss... 9 minutes and 16 seconds of it th-cam.com/video/xEMy34qhQe4/w-d-xo.html
The live version of this is killer....the solo goes on forever.. lol
The live version has an extended outro solo which is second only to the live version of Comfortably Numb. The backing vocalists really kick ass in that version as well. Well worth the listen.
Exactly. th-cam.com/video/xEMy34qhQe4/w-d-xo.html
By far the best version.
Originally from the Delicate Sound of Thunder tour filmed at the Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, NY in August 1988
To me, it is the most uplifting of any DG guitar solo. I love CN, but there is something more positive in this Solo. I feel way better after this solo.
Don't worry you have the live version from Delicate Sound of Thunder to listen to. Trust me no guitar solo fade out . 😉
Amazing song! I’m anxiously awaiting your reaction to “One of these Days” or “Coming Back to Life”!!! Keep up the great work!
Amen to "One of These Days"! That'll rock his world! Having watched multiple versions, I have to say, I like this one best: th-cam.com/video/CK_BcyKOAt4/w-d-xo.html
When Rick Wright gives Gilmour the “go!” sign at 1:35, it is ON!
The Pompeii version of One Of These Days is fire!!👍👍🎸🤘🤘
I love the French Doors animation short that has One Of These Days as the music. It was my real introduction to the band
Agreed..."one of these days" was one I was going recommend as well ... knowing how much Hector loves the bass!!
@@FlankerJackChannel so true! The lap steel guitar will blow Hector’s mind!
I find myself looking forward to your reactions more than any others .
For me this is the most under-appreciated Pink Floyd song. As others have said, the live version is amazing. I hate the fade-outs. It’s why I cringe every time I hear the studio version of Comfortably Numb. You just want that solo to go on forever. Anyway cool fact about the album cover….. there was no photoshop there. They actually brought all those beds out to the beach for the picture. That’s pure dedication to your artistic vision right there.
“Where the speechless unite in a silent accord….”
Beautiful ❤
It’s right up there with your very own “Haters go f*ck oneself…” 👍
There will never be another group like Pink Floyd and I dread the day when Roger and David leave this world. It sad that they ended their collaboration as, I’m sure, we’ve missed out on many great years of new music. What’s amazing about Pink Floyd is their music makes you stop, watch and listen. They don’t have you dancing in the aisle, but they have you intently listening to every word and note as they mean something important to the song. They’ll be missed one day and I hope their music will be passed down through generations.
Who fuckin faded this out?! Classic!
please, watch "One of these days" from Pulse
Watch the live version. Blow your mind.
PLEASE do Pink Floyd’s “Run Like Hell” performed at the Pulse concert
I just love your reactions. You are my favorite reactor!❤❤
Keep up the good work bro. So nice to see people discovering pink Floyd. All the best from Redditch.
The live version from the delicate sound of thunder concert is amazing he's just goes off on that solo please react to it !!!!!!!!!
Agree. David's 5 minute solo in the live version is ridiculously good
+1 bump it. you NEED to watch the live version
Don’t forget Margaret Taylor belting out some feels during the solo.
I'd like to recommend Queen's Innuendo. A very beautiful song with beautiful lyrics.
Live version (2019 Remaster) is way superior.... Five minute guitar solo from Sir David at the end
"keep talking" - but live as you wont believe your eyes, Pulse is a safe bet.
Album is probably better but you'll miss how they do it. Itll make sense when you watch it.
This one you need to see the live version it will blow ur mind.🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤪🤪😝😝😝😝
Umm. Stevie Nicks is still alive. Christine McVie passed away late last month. Stevie was a bigger force in the band vocally, but Christine's contributions can't be ignored. She was a great songwriter and wrote a bunch of hit songs for FM. 8 of them appeared on their greatest hits album.
RIP Christine Anne McVie (79)
Her name was Christine Perfect before she married Fleetwood Mac bassist John McVie. IMHO she always was Perfect.
@@mirandak3273 A gifted lady.
One of these days….. This is what you must do next. th-cam.com/video/CK_BcyKOAt4/w-d-xo.html
Please react Mother and Hey You from PF
live to the Delicate sound of Thunder concert 1990 = 🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶
In other words ,we should all help our fellow man where we can,
This song’s live version is so good. In my opinion even better than the album version, don’t know how they managed to top themselves everytime
Watch the live version of this, and while your at it, if you have some time, listen to Bruce Hornsby and the Range, Thats Just the Way It Is followed by Tupacs Changes. Thank you for the reactions you make my day.
As always I’ll say listen to “high hopes” and try not to cry about getting older
Considering this is my favorite Pink Floyd reaction channel there is not nearly enough Pink Floyd but that said, Great job and the No more turning away from the less fortunate and poorer people in our society and it is our job to help them like David did when he sold his mansion to donate all the money to homeless people.
Lol blame the other artists that flooded in ....i didnt expect this to go crazy!!!!
If this song was an anthem it could eradicate homelessness ✨
More PF recommendations, Hey You, Run Like Hell, Breathe. Thanks Mark
You don't EVER need to apologize for exploring other music! I've caught most of those reactions as well. I'm a big Pink Floyd fan, but I'm a huge fan of LOADS of other bands, too. So explore away, my dude!
David Gilmour was the lead vocalist and guitarist for Pink Floyd. Check out some of his solo work. "Castellorizon" & "On an Island" are best listened to as one. I suggest the "Live in Gdansk" version.
You should try "Keep Talking" - album version.
You'll be gob-smacked!
Watch the live version from 1988's Delicate Sound of Thunder.
Can't help but think that "Not Now John" from The Final Cut should tickle your cranium sometime soon....
th-cam.com/video/KVvF0s9oRUM/w-d-xo.html
The world needs more Looneys like you. When you reacted to Time on Dark Side of the Moon I commented that you were a couple tracks away from Brain Damage, (the 9th track on the album) Eclipse, the 10th track merges into it. Lisen to both at once (got to keep the looneys on the path) It's inspiring to see younger people enjoy a band that's been around for 50 yr. +. Great Reaction.
Like many say needs to seen live
Love it!!
If you are doing “High Hopes” next, you will love it. Stunning.
A Great Day for Freedom (From David Gilmour Live in Gdansk) You will be elevated to the Stratosphere and beyond ... Pure Bliss
Digging your floyd journey man😊
Powerful reaction of a powerful PF song. But still missing “Atom Heart Mother”.
Dude, put these guitar solos in your reactions list too. They will melt your brain:
1. Grand Funk Railroad - “Inside looking out” (live videoclip”;
2. Dire Straits - “Sultans of swing” (Alchemy live videoclip);
3. Stevie Ray Vaughan - Life without you (Capitol Theatre live videoclip);
4. Jeff Healey - “See the light” (Night Music 1988 videoclip);
5. The Doors - “Roadhouse blues (audio version);
6. DragonForce - “Through the fire and flames” (official long version videoclip);
7. Eagles - Hotel Califórnia (any live or audio version)”
8. Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody (official videoclip).
If you want mellow try "wearing the inside out " from The Division Bell" - utterly perfect in every way and sung by the keyboard player
You might want to try some really early Pink Floyd at some point. Maybe Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun.
Can't put in words how much I enjoy your PF reactions! Like you said, there are so many. Looking forward to the next one! Thank you, thank you and Happy Holidays!!
You need to listen to "On The Turning Away Live " although the album version is quite good the Live version takes to a different Universe Mark...!! It's literally at least 5/6/7mins longer and David Gilmour's solo guitar playing in the sing brings tears to your eye's, similar to the Liver Version of "Comfortably Numb it is on another planet compared to the studio album track.. The emotion his guitar playing brings cannon be bettered..!! The guitar actually talks and sings to you like no other musicians have ever done before..!! And as I've mentioned before when I was the concert I had tears streaming down my eyes..!! PS The Live song lasts twice as long as the studio album and I'm so privileged to have been at Earls Court to see then play it LIVE !! The GREATEST FLOYD SONG OK ALL TIME
I know that you have already reacted to Echoes live in Pompeii. However, do yourself a massive favour and watch the David Gilmour live in Gdansk version, which is the last ever performance of that masterpiece. Shortly thereafter, the Pink Floyd keyboardist, Richard Wright passed away and Gilmour refuses to play it ever again without his mate, who was also the co-writer.
Oh my friend, oh my friend , you have missed out BIG Time the live version of The Turning Away 1919 remastered. Is absolutely the dogs bollocks the guitar solo and indeed the drums the chorus girls are out of this world far far better than the studio version. Please if you can and got the time my friend react to the 1919 live version remastered you won't regret it I promise.👍👍
This is your first dip of the toe into the post Roger Waters [Bass ] era of PF. They only had 2 real studio albums, but they're right up there with all of their previous work.
Learning to fly?
Where are your Pink Floyd reactions
One of many PF songs I wish latest 2 minutes longer.
Ahhhhh, the timing of that was impeccable. " I can't get the premise man" and then " It doesn't matter" Oh man, that made the best steak, also be cooked perfectly. Thanks!
You might be ready for Atom Heart Mother...
Love your no-nonsense, "if you don't like it, get wrecked" reactions. Can't wait to see you lose your Sh** if you decide to react to Pink Floyd's "Careful with that Axe, Eugene". Especially the Live at Pompeii version. Keep them coming!!!
A great early Syd song with a wonderful in color video is “Jugband Blues.”
TIME FOR PINK FLOYD! I'm still on my binge and loving it! 💜💜💜🤗🤗🤗
You bring joy to this aged & dying heart.
Best wishes from Mississippi !
It is a commentary on society's tendency to turn a blind eye to the suffering of those who are oppressed and marginalized. The song argues that it is a sin to ignore the plight of these individuals and that if we continue to do so, we will be complicit in their suffering.
if you want it not to fade, watch the live version...his solo goes on and on...
Yes great song again, but you can’t go wrong with Pink Floyd. This was the first album after Roger Waters left the band. Another band, which is a complete different genre, you nee to listen to is “Rage Against the Machine. I think you will like it a lot.
Mark, you’re heard Rage Against the Machine if you watched the ending credits of The Matrix- “Wake Up!”
Do this one again, live from the Delicate Sound of Thunder concert. (Make sure you are sitting down… ) Do this one live, you won’t regret it.
It's about no more turning away from the poor and the homeless and people in need.
We knew you’d be back to Pink Floyd.
First time I heard Pink Floyd was winter of 69 at 14. I will never forget. After coming home from local Catholic Church carnival high as crap on Orange Barrel LSD. My portable am/fm 8 track was in my bookcase headboard. Listening to WUSF college radio station called the Underground Railroad. The train horn and wheel noise going from left to right speakers was wild but Floyd with Careful With That Ax Eugene blew my mind. Probably not to review but worth a listen. Not many words just a bit psychedelic.
😂😂
Took ages though :)
You're figuring out that every single Pink Floyd track is like waking up on Christmas morning to the most cherished gift you've ever received. It's still like that for most of us fans, 50 years later. I hope you'll try "Poles Apart" soon - it's a diss track, a mellow hopeful track with a bonus killer guitar solo (come on, what else could it be?) outtro.
Please start reacting to Tool you won’t regret it
Oh, yes another great sheer music🎶 performance from Pink Floyd! It surely is a masterpiece. Thanks so very much for sharing your reaction and it’s a like and thumbs up.😄👍#pinkfloyd
Learning To Fly✌️😊🌼
Listen to arcade fire latest live concert
I love it when you say ''ah,foook off''
This one, but LIVE? Oh my🥲
Great reaction, Hector! This is arguably the best track on this album. This is the first album after Roger Waters left the band. So the sound is a little different, but this is a really good listen.
Woohoo, thrilled to hear that High Hopes is high on your list! 🥳❤️
No more turning away from those less fortunate, those who are suffering...take action, help if you can...make the world a better place.... #DoBetter ✌️
As incredible as the studio versions are it's always jaw dropping to see this band do them live.
"High Hopes."
Will be played at my funeral.
Plus Eclipse and possibly Coming back to Life.
The finale to 'DSOTM' is something else and will require a box of tissues close by when listening to it! 'Coming Back To Life'? One of their very best!
What can one say, genius ❤
The lyrics were quite direct and clear!
Peace friend!
✌️🤘🇨🇦
Love this song! It's an anthem to me.
You need to watch the remastered live version from the 1988 tour, the solo continues for much more time.
As a massive Floyd fan I'm absolutely loving these. After a stressful day at work these are just a light. Unfortunately my mates just don't get the Floyd.
As a total antithesis to Floyd you really need to listen to some Motorhead, the loudest most rock and roll band that ever lived!
Never in the history of music was there anything to compare with Pink Floyd! And I'm willing to bet there want be in the future!
Another brilliant brilliant brilliant reaction.
Dude you gotta do
"Brain Damage" with "Eclipse" from the album The Dark Side of the Moon 😉
(and back in the day we had the album sleeve with the lyrics to glance at.... Just a thought😉)
Yeah, it’s two tracks but it’s one song with two parts.
I don’t know if you ever do Metallica, but I believe you would enjoy Nothing Else Matters with the San Francisco Orchestra . S&M
Ive done one metallica so far 🙌🙌🙌
you need to check out the awesome animation version
it will explain it vividly
{:-) PAV UK
YES👏👏...PLEASE? 🙏

Awesome reaction brother! Would you please consider reacting to Run Like Hell from the live Delicate Sound of Thunder tour?
I will add it to my list of lists 🙌🙌🙌🙌
Who the f***k faided this out ?? lol. Watch the live version of this song. Unreal.
Pink floyd did! It was on their channel! Those crazzzzy fools
Bless U ✌️
I saw these dudes in the Orange Bowl in Miami in 87 or 88 can't remember which year. Incredible experience. This was the new album at the time and the extended solo was an absolute masterpiece.
th-cam.com/video/xEMy34qhQe4/w-d-xo.html links to the Delicate Sound of Thunder live version.
Greetings from Southwest Texas 🇺🇸 Mellow 👍
THNX4BN Mr. ............oh & 2112 RUSH HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

This is another PF gem "High Hopes" th-cam.com/video/o3O_Wi9UDfY/w-d-xo.html
And the Academy Award for the most Insane reactor goes to....
Brainsqweezemarkhector.
The best guitar solo of Gilmour is always the last one we listened.
There are so many best solo of David!
You need to listen to the live version. Guitar solo is epic
Shall do!
Don't be complacent with our humanity. So f'n' profound.
Coming back to life. Live (pulse restored) its mind blowing.
Amazing tune. This is my funeral choice. Tears in my eyes every time I hear it. Love your reactions. Love Pink Floyd. 👍❤️
You can't go wrong with 'Run like hell' live 'Pulse' version 😊
You need to check out the Gunner's Dream, the Final Cut, Not Now John and Two Suns in the Sunset; all from The Final Cut, a CRIMINALLY underrated album.
