sensational units ,had 1 installed 2 weeks ago and looks sensational with the alpine sports kit , BUT after 20kms in 2 weeks the hvac unit decided it does NOT want to work , blank screen no acess to controls ,heater is on ,no way to turn off ,back to the installer i guess , was working beutifully but now its dead ,head unit is fine ,hvac is dead lol , cant reset as the screen is blank cheers steve
mine has issues after 2 weeks blank screen ,worked well for 2 weeks , but i was made aware that i could have problems with the hvac module and may have to update the module to a later version as they are known to cause problems before 2010 so you update the module , cheers
That looks incredible. Great functions. But I cant see them being a big seller being that the VE is getting on in age. I have enough trouble convincing people on the Aerpro kit.
the aerpro kit is rubbish compared to the alpine kit , the alpine kit is well worth the money (if the hvac) does not stop working like mine has , these units are sold out ,very hard to get the alpine hvac install kit , and the finish is better than oem and as good a fit as the oem ,unlike aerpro kits
Well the old facia was an adapted version from the G8 in the states so it wasn't perfect. These have been designed from the ground up by Alpine Australia so I have high hopes. Installing one in a couple of weeks so I will have a video of that 😎
The kit can do both single and dual zone. Because it is linked into the cars data, it can see what setup the car has and adjust its menus accordingly 🙂

Ive had mine in for 2 days exact same thing black screen and my heater was cranking annoying as gonna get another 😅

Im think install this alpine touch screen for Ve series 1. Worry about the touch screen for the heater controls having issues?
