I only spent two weeks at a shitty local boarding school and even just that was surprisingly similar to Bully. Teachers would tell you shit like "if you're really bad you'll get sent up to the house." which was like some punishment, and there were stories from kids about others who'd been sent there and never came back. The principle himself came into detention and said "if you're gonna bring drugs, don't get caught." Detention was from the ending of your last school period all the way to 11pm, Lights Out. then you had to walk to your room in the dark. I saw a guy almost get jumped by a group of girls over a pack of cigarettes, had my room broken into, a ton of stuff. it was ridiculous.

In my personal vision for Jimmy (which leads into an idea I had for Bully 2), is that after graduating Bullworth he actually joins the Army and after serving his time and reaching E5, he retires from the Army and goes to college, after graduating with a license in teaching, he joins Bullworth Academy as the new JROTC teacher, and he effectively acts as a bit of a mentor figure to the new protagonist. He's estranged himself from his mother, which is just fine for him and her.

Underlying plots of him determining if he maintains a connection to his mother, the possibilities of marriage (and/or just living with someone), maintaining a house, all while trying to deal with corrupt law enforcement (and people in general), as well as the return of a more unhinged Gary (vengeful & a lot more malicious than before).

Great video. But few days ago, decided, I'm going back to it, and FINALLY getting the platinum trophy for it!
When I was 17, my best friends mom painted our faces as Dia De Los Muertos skulls for Halloween, because that morning we saw one of our idols do it online and thought it was simple enough. We found out the next morning that he wrapped his motorcycle around a light pole and died that night. That was the last Halloween I had ever celebrated by dressing up. Rest In Peace Mitch Lucker.
Great video, glad there's still people giving Bully the credit it deserves ; only thing it's missing is... The Go Kart! You forgot about the Go Kart!!!
I remember looking for games like Bully months ago, and unsurprisingly, nothing came close. If you haven't played this game, it really is a unique, fun experience. Play it.

Loved this game when it came out! Really wish they would either give us Bully 2, with like Jimmy's son/daughter, or even a solid remake of Bully, not one of those crappy "remasters" as they like to call them... lol. Happy birthday brother! Hope you enjoy your day!
I might be wrong but in the PC/360/Wii version you can unlock a mini kart which is the fastest vehicle in the game, plus there are exclusive Christmas missions with a drunken Santa in the winter chapter. The PS2 is sadly the "incomplete" version but it doesn't affect the main storyline.
PS2 version superior imo, all the scholarship edition stuff is added fluff that was either added or removed from the original release for a reason. you can unlock the go kart for freeroam as well on ps2!
The fact that you can goose up little girls in this game is just insanely crazy... I wonder how that slipped through. Its like Fallout 3 allowing you to enslave litte children for money. Things like these can never ever fly in modern times.
A very rare game that makes you immersed, especially on a role of a student. Sadly, not a lot of things were able to be implemented, this game has lot of potential. But as of right now, this is easily on of the best, even these years
29:00 so the funny thing is, doing all tiers of punishments is required for 100% and unlocks an extra outfit. Unfortunately, Winter has unique punishments in the form of shoveling snow, and since the game never goes back to winter after you beat the story you can't do those punishments after that part of the story is over. AND those punishments count as a separate thing from the normal punishments for completion. TL;DR I did EVERYTHING in the game **except** those winter punishments and got locked out of 100%. And if I wanted to have a 100% save/the 100% achievement I'd have to do EVERYTHING over again including that. Truly the **worst** case of being locked out of completion I've ever faced in a game.
😌 Don't care if I end up in my 40s or 50s truly hope people keep spraying the word of bringing bully back in video games(hopefully sooner than that tho)
I don’t know about boarding schools in the 90s, but my uncle was in military school in the 90s and his stories make it sound a lot like Bully. Anyways, happy birthday dude, great video 🎉🎉🎉
Ahhh yes, i remember we used to be allowed to have little snowball fights in elementary school, untill someone got hit with a rock in a snowball and the teachers got involved to end that 😅😅😅
This was such a great game, one of my favourites growing up. I think for poeple like me who were bullied and felt no sense of control this also helped bring a little catharsis. Agree with much of what you've said it did well and could have improved on. Always felt the last chapter was far too short.
I just adore bully, it has such a great atmosphere, story and characters. That's why i keep coming back to it after 18 years. The boys dorm was going to have a second floor but they deleted it for some reason. The game has so much cool beta content
All these years later, while it visually and sometimes mechanically has not aged the best, it is absolutely no less fun than it was on release I miss games like this. An idea was had, it was made fun, it worked. Simple as it gets
It’s a bummer you couldn’t get the newer version working. It added 4(?) new classes, and I liked the variety they added. Also, I think you’re not supposed to reset classes you fail, because there’s no down side. It just…. Takes you a bit longer to finish. So - like actual learning - you learn and get better in each class until you’re able to finish it. Man, I need to play this game again..
I'd rather get Bully 2 than Red Dead 3 or GTA 7 next. Too bad it seems like Rockstar doesn't want anything to do with Bully. It's such a classic.
Somewhere Out there in the Multiverse WE are waiting for Bully 6
No way, Red Dead and GTA have so much freedom that isn’t possible in a high school simulator.

I'm gonna be honest dude. I fall asleep to your videos every night. Appreciate all of your videos! I wonder if I'm the only one.
One of my earliest memories that I would think about every once in a while is the kid getting shot by the bully’s brother in that episode of Picket Fences. Never knew what the show was until I watched this video, and now one of my life’s most insignificant mysteries has been solved, thank you
Spud launcher, go kart, and the Halloween mission .. chefs kiss
Subscribed for the bacon intro. Sizzled in our hearts.
Happy birthday mr.Bacon, never beat this game since i rented it from block buster but now after watching this makes me want to experience the whole journey.
Great video. This is one of favourite games from the PS2 era, and it's funny that you upload this.....right as I'm currently playing through it again on PS5!!😂 I'd played through it a couple of times when it got put on the PS store for PS4 and haven't played it since. But few days ago, decided, I'm going back to it, and FINALLY getting the platinum trophy for it!
is the frame rate less laggy than on ps4?
When I was 17, my best friends mom painted our faces as Dia De Los Muertos skulls for Halloween, because that morning we saw one of our idols do it online and thought it was simple enough. We found out the next morning that he wrapped his motorcycle around a light pole and died that night. That was the last Halloween I had ever celebrated by dressing up. Rest In Peace Mitch Lucker.
Happy Birthday (belated). Every day is the birth of new chances and new adventures, and I hope your day was full of wonderful events.
Thanks for making this video because I'll be replaying Bully thanks to it
Great video, glad there's still people giving Bully the credit it deserves ; only thing it's missing is... The Go Kart! You forgot about the Go Kart!!!
2:05 Somethings never change. Games journalism is mostly a circle jerk of the same industry sycophants.
I remember looking for games like Bully months ago, and unsurprisingly, nothing came close. If you haven't played this game, it really is a unique, fun experience. Play it.
Bully is unique we need bully 2
Ive been noticing your channel since you were at around 10k subs, really cool to see you get to this level. Congrats
I love that people are still making videos about Bully
Im so glad bully is still being talked about
One of my favorite TH-camrs with a long video essay on one of my favorite PS2 games… and on his birthday? Time to celebrate! Happy Birthday, Bacon Man. 🥳
30 something with a wife kids and bad knees was a big personal attack lol
Happy birthday, I’ll eat some bacon in your honor
Happy birthday, juat fiund your channel tonight gonna dive deep into your videos love me some well edited longform gaming content.
Loved this game when it came out! Really wish they would either give us Bully 2, with like Jimmy's son/daughter, or even a solid remake of Bully, not one of those crappy "remasters" as they like to call them... lol. Happy birthday brother! Hope you enjoy your day!
Happy birthday Mr. Bacon
The same people who cried about mid 2000's rockstar ironically would get along fantastically with most of the game devs today 😂
You had me at the Percy Jackson reference. Subbed.
6:12 , that escalated quickly. 😳
Bully, Max Payne and L.A. Noire were the only rockstar games my dad let me play
Bully desperately needs a re-release for modern consoles/pc...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BROTHER I HOPE YOU NEVER STOP CUS YOU BECAME ONR OF MY FAV YTERS ENJOY ‼️❤️🥳
I recently went back an played bully! I got the pc port with a frame rate fix working well. It really is a unique experience.
He grows up to become bubba ray.
Happy Cake-Day Tactical Bacon. 🎂 🎁 🎈
I just adore bully, it has such a great atmosphere, story and characters. That's why i keep coming back to it after 18 years. The boys dorm was going to have a second floor but they deleted it for some reason. The game has so much cool beta content
Sick intro with the bacon I'm going to subscribe just for that...also happy bday 🎉
Was not expecting a Nico D’Angelo reference out of TBP but based
I cheated English class just by writing the letters down and pausing the game until I had all the words figured out. 100% every time.
Jimmy doesnt know about the letter since Crabblesnitch doesnt tell him
Man I miss this game, I'll have to try and buy it off the PlayStation Network next time I have some money to spend.
And Happy Birthday!
Why go through all the trouble when you can play the PC version of Bully: The Scholarship Edition
That's it, I'm convinced. I'm gonna play Bully for the first time
All these years later, while it visually and sometimes mechanically has not aged the best, it is absolutely no less fun than it was on release
I miss games like this. An idea was had, it was made fun, it worked. Simple as it gets
THIS IS THE VIDEO I DIDNT KNOW I NEEDED LORD THIS GAME IS AMAZING still got it downloaded on my PS3
Happy Birthday Brother! Loved bully in my teenager years, very inspiring if you get what I mean lmao.
That intro is crispy. Love it.
if you beat all the go cart missions you get a go cart to use instead of the moped
Great point about not having guns forcing ingenuity. Kid's Next Door in a nutshell
Great video! Happy Birthday Bud!🎉
