I really like the messaging to this one, and I don’t think it has to be limited to death. I know the media likes to depict relationships that end because one person cheated or was otherwise toxic, but a lot of the time in real life both people can do every thing right and the relationship still ends just because they grow apart - and it’s okay to be sad about that.
Another great song you really need to add to your list is Lee Brice “I Drive Your Truck”. It’s based off a true story Brice heard regarding a father and military son
Love this guy, love this song, probably my favorite singer in Country and always love the piano in a Country song! Sean's voice blends so well and the acoustic setting is awesome, no frills, just amazing vocals and simplicity! Brett's pen game is so strong, he writes the best ballads. He did a whole series of Acoustic Sessions of songs w/friends, "Chapters" w/Gaven DeGraw is amazing as well. There is an album version of this song without Sean, I have it on my Spotify playlist, it's still Brett so it's good, but I like this one better. Other great Brett songs are "Mercy", "Catch" and "Lady." Great reaction Craig!! ❤

Brett Young has a wonderful voice. Very passionate singer. Love this song, harmonies heavenly, even if it is sad. I heard him joke once that Christmas songs were his thing.
