I actually have this chair bought it couple months ago. I love it really solid for its price It took me a while to get used to it since my last chair was CRAP. the instructions were not the best like you said in the video. Also Great Video man.

hey, if you want to lower the height of your arm rests.. go to the hardware store, buy a bunch of washers, and some longer bolts.. then use those to mount the arm rests, pushing them down further underneath the chair giving you a dirt cheap solution to lowering them to where they just fit under your desk

For something like this that isn't music recording related, I would honestly just do some simple EQ'ing...Low pass at 18k herts and a dip in the mids around 350 herts will tame the echo/transients a bit (maybe a De-esser too)....Bass traps are used for catching bouncing low frequencies...What you want to treat your room for voice recording would be straight up studio foam that you strategically place on your walls to dampen soundwave bounce back....Not trying to seem like a know it all, just figured I would clear that up in case people go out and buy bass traps expecting them to clean up their room noise, because it wouldn't do much (if anything) for standard human voice frequencies haha.
true enough, just throwing out cheap suggestions... though that foam isn't going to be enough to completely do it. One would need both to kill it completely, even from vocals, especially those with a slightly lower register such as his .
@@christopherjunkins Vocals can be tricky, but for a review/gaming channel I don't really see a point in full out eliminating room noise. When you are recording vocals for music, it's a good idea to eliminate 90%+ of the room noise in order to have it seat well in the mix and then reverb/delay is added on post EQ. But with this, dampening the higher/mid frequency bounce back with foam would be 100% passable imo. The lows in most voices aren't nearly low enough to require a bass trap...To catch the extra low frequency junk, you could just high pass the track at 80 herts and you would be good. From a recording perspective, bass traps are mainly used for things like bass guitar and especially kick drums...Instruments that occupy those low frequency/sub low ranges to covert the sound energy to heat and tame them. I have been in a few professional recording studios with projects, and I don't think I have ever seen bass traps in the vocal booths tbh. A lot of what you do with vocals depends on the application in what you are using them for. I agree with you 100%....there is too much room noise, but some foam, Eq'ing, or both would fix it no problem.

Looking for a desk and chair for studying and gaming. Are the armrests necessary to build the chair or can you build it without them? Since they're not adjustable I don't want them to hinder my ability to sit under my desk, where my lap is pretty close to the table.
Hey - To get rid of the sweaty neck, you should wrap the head pillow AROUND the top instead of through the holes like in the Amazon pics. I have the same style chair and with it wrapped around the outside , you have more adjustability!! Just saying
I bought that chair and dont like it honestly. The arm rests concern me more than I thought. Also, Im not a big guy (5'10, 180) but the chair pops and creaks with every move I make while sitting on it. I ensured all the bolts are tight as well. I find the lumbar pillow super unfomfortable too and moved it up by my neck under the neck pillow.
Bob Costino after the year and a half of owning it, the creaking has started happening for me as well and I’m having issues with mine staying at the height I set it at. It’s actually more comfortable to me then the other chair I’ve reviewed but I’m actually being sent a new chair that I think will take the place of both of them.
Ive got a JL comfurni gaming chair and its exactly the same as yours on the way the colours on the chair are put on differently. ( The homall chair couldn't be shipped to the UK so I couldn't get it.)
Mine came in last Friday around 2pm ...I love it. Just shows that you don't neccesarily need to buy the expensive omega or secret lab route. They really do the same at the end anyways. Nice review man

0483 hey man! Honestly I’m still using my 1070 and it crushes games so unless you maybe find a great deal on a 1070ti or 1080 I’d say definitely go for it!
0483 I can definitely attest that this chair is comfortable for that length of time (with little breaks of course). I sit in it all day editing videos and I’ve had zero issues since i got all the settings tweaked to my liking

Drew Nai i sit in it for at least 8 hours a day editing and i don’t notice any problems with my back anymore because it allows me to sit up straight and not hunch over. Built quality has been great for me and i haven’t run into any issues so far.

I have one and the chair is garbage. The back of the chair broke when I leaned in it. Didn't even flop just regular leaning back and the whole back rest popped and now doesn't lock and is loose with torn fabric on the joint.

Stuff nope! They aren’t part of the structure at all so you could just leave them off if you wanted!

Just fabricate the armrests.. Find a good spot.. Cut the metal.. Redrill.. Perfect
You could always install other arm rests that might fit the chair that are adjustable

I honestly wouldn't suggest this chair anymore unless its maybe your first one. It didn't last me but a year then started failing.

How is the chair two years later
I ended up getting rid of it. Its great if you're on a SERIOUS budget but IMO spend a bit more and get better quality that will last!
