    Wish I had watched this before making my staircase, it would have helped..mine didn,t come out too bad.I made my own pieces one by one and made the whole thing and when it was done I decided to make a big bookcase under the stairs to use up the space better, it actually looks quite good.

    Nice!! I agree about making what you can to have a bit of cash for items that you either can't make, or are special finds.

    I really like the thin strips...it's a different look altogether. I love the railing too...and you definitely don't want Aunt Janey or Aunt Bess to fall between the landing and the stairs! My dorm in college didn't have a rail (yeah, it was really old and was redone the year after I left) and it was kind of...exciting late at night!

    Miss Gretchen the floors look amazing. You inspired me , so I went and added some touches for my tub for my open concept house and took some costume jewelry and made a stopper for the tub 🛀 The stopper is made out of a piece of costume jewelry a gold chain with links, and jewel clear 💎 if it perfectly in the hole 🕳️ the little miniature Little size bigger than the links on the chain ⛓️‍💥 ring around the jewelry Wrapped around so now I have a tub faucet added jewel with some fast drying glue for the stopper for my tub 🛀 and mix some epoxy Resin & expoxy Resin Hardenre made a mode from the tub. Add some clear marbles in there and it looks like a tub with bubbles 🫧 and then for the sink the kitchen sink I made a mold to the same thing and place some dishes in there and let them harden like the dishes Need to be washed water in the sink and I wanted to look 👀 like someone was in a hurry and they left the dishes, dirty , because I didn’t want people living in the home at least not yet, I like it empty, it just given the illusion that someone does live there. They just happen to be not home because they work so hard and they’re always on the go so I tried to make the house lived in magazines around sitting on the chair with a cup of orange juice, all the time 😅😅😅😅but I enjoy watching everybody else miniature people in them, I’m just not in the mood to deal with getting the right people in the open concept I like it looking like everybody’s at work,lol 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 I didn’t want my husband to really see anything because he’ll start laughing, 🤣 he had no idea for many years that I was into miniatures because I work so hard and was always taking care of someone to the point. I forgot my hobbies, and I kind of lost myself taking care of everybody else, but once he saw everything, he said you know what you need are lights so he ordered me some lights 😅😅😅😅😅 now, since my mom passed recently doing the time that I retired , I took care of her. I had to retire because I was going through breast cancer but now since I am a cancer overcoming free from cancer my mother happened to go down and needed my assistance the whole family so my family and I took turns caring for her. I had the dayshift, and I trained everyone else how to care for her for the weekend and for, and after she passed and my sister now, decided to get her a caregiver, now I’m able to do crafts and little things I’ve always wanted to do but didn’t have the time., before I start to get really busy again I decided to take the time, of course, study 📖 the word of God 1st and praying, and Visiting, people who are sick 🤒 praying with people and also to do my little hobbies that I like I’m not an expert and none of my hobbies, but they’re fun! I’m just introducing myself , since I’m new to your channel you know nothing about me so I thought I’ll introduce myself. My name is Mary , You’re probably never read this but if you do since I’m getting to know you, this is a little bit who I am. P.S. I enjoy your videos, immensely !! lol 😂 🥰👩🏾‍🦲😘

It takes a lot! I'm glad to hear you are cancer free and enjoying some free time doing the things you enjoy! It's nice that your husband is supportive of your art! Ah I am happy that I saw your video before I made my floors!
    I did make a floor on think cardboard but it warped even with weighing it down !
    The popsicles sticks curled up!
    I was so upset about it and decided not to make anymore flooring until I know what happened!
    But coffee stirring sticks seems to be a better choice to use for flooring.
    Thank you for your videos!
    I always look forward to seeing you!
    Love and light beautiful Doll 💖❤

    • @littlegretchensworkshop7665
      @littlegretchensworkshop7665  วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yes the paper bag is an excellent template because it stands so it won't lift the height of your floor and it can handle the moisture very well. Also because it's thin it dries quickly and you have a wonderfully flat floor that's still flexible when it's time to install it. Yeah try your Popsicle sticks again using the brown paper bag instead of the cardboard I think you'll be pleasantly surprised! 💖😃💖💖 Let me know how it turns out!

    What about drilling into the rails about 1/2 way ... or at least enough to set the dowel in? That's how i do it. I sand to round a bit, the bottom , and tops of the dowel (spindle) and they fit perfectly.

    The main "hack" I would suggest on placing the newel posts is a spacer. That will make them equidistant without a lot of measuring.

    You asked for any advice on the spacing. TheEclecticThrifter&Crafter recently did a video where she used tape and popsicle sticks to properly space the uprights of her 1:12 balcony railings- she laid the tape out sticky-side-up and put down an upright, then a popsicle stick, then another upright, and so on. When all the uprights were down, she removed the popsicle sticks. It's only a 6.5 minute video if you're interested. th-cam.com/video/BInfRJCKeu8/w-d-xo.html Your floor and railing look good! I actually measured with my little banister (gasp!), but it still came out wonky. Lol. I'm so glad you're looking out for the dolls' safety. We definitely don't want any falls or splinters!
