For turning on the flashlight you can say “Hey Siri, Lumos” and for turning it off you can say “Hey Siri, Nox”. “Lumos” and “Nox” are the spells Harry Potter used for turning on the light on his wand and turning it off respectively.

As an elderly lady I use Siri all the time. It isn’t just laziness, my hands are arthritic and for example telling Siri to turn on my lamp that is connected to a smart plug is really worth it to me so that I don’t have to turn those screws. I think a whole video could be done on Siri commands and usages that might help older people and not always just the young. But one thing Siri used to do that I can’t get it to do anymore is to search my photos. Has anybody else had this problem?

You can set a timer for two seconds and it will sound an alarm if that helps too works better if u have air pods on also works vise versa if u can’t find ur air pods they make a loud sound

That command to ask Siri where the phone is is fantastic! Recently I’ve been losing mine all the time, and just this morning ordered a brighter case in the hope of being able to see it. Always listen is brilliant too. Thank you very much for these :)

If you want to turn on the flashlight you can say 'hey Siri, Lumos' and 'Nox' to turn it of again. Best thing ever 😂

Love these, thank you! I do use Siri a lot to show me pictures of things for my grandchildren (dinosaurs, bugs, monster trucks, and lots of unusual things we think of)! We have a lot of fun with Siri !
4:48 keep in mind tho you need to be connected to a wifi or cellular data when you park your car in the first place so siri can actually save it on maps
But don’t we also need to mark our parking spot first?

It’s from Moment, it’s a great color, but as a past owner of one, I returned it soo sadly, after two weeks because it quickly took on the color of my jeans from just a few times of being in my pocket. The discoloration just made the case look terrible soo quickly, I was quite sad.

I also use Siri on a day to day basis because I say “Hey Sara” and “Hey Sadarien” every day at work, as well as a number of other things I randomly say that cause unintended Siri activations, I just never remember them until exactly one second after I‘ve already said them.

Great video - with the last tip - "where's my car' how does Siri know this? Does one need to drop a tag (bluetooth tile etc) or virtual tag, or install an App - or does Siri keep track of your car just ...because>?
You just need to connect to your car's stereo via Bluetooth or Carplay!

Im facing weird issue where Siri initially used to acknowledge as “umm hmm” when activated. But suddenly it stopped and i havent changed any settings.

I simply just ask, “Hey Siri, what’s the title of this song?” And it will automatically listen to the song playing on the radio using Shazam… I just discovered it in the car one day 😅

how does siri know where ur car is does it need something special like an airtag?
The maps app remembers the place where your phone was disconnected from your car Bluetooth, that’s the location that Siri shows you
Or you can just ask Siri to remember your parked location just as you’re about to leave it.

does the car thing work on every car or do you need to have some kind of a tesla or an airtag?
It works for any car with CarPlay, when you unplug/disconnect your phone from the car it creates a pin on the Maps app

"hey siri, play ____ by ___ on Spotify - Apple Music - Soundcloud is my driving lifesaver. Literally I hate using my phone and driving especially if my phone is on the mount. Got pulled over once for unplugging headphones and cleaning the screen so better believe any siri tips are good ones!

Maybe there’s a way to turn this off that I’ve never found, but I don’t like that Siri has to tell you it did the thing you asked. “Hey Siri, turn on the flashlight” “ok. I turned on the flashlight” like I couldn’t see the flashlight that wasn’t on, is now on. Every single command does not need a response from it ON TOP of doing the command.
But do I need like a tesla or some other 2021 car so siri can find my car?
