Leslie, thank you so much for this great step-by-step guide to pinning those swatches! Incredibly helpful. As another commenter stated, I haven't seen this method of pinning in other demonstrations/explanations. It makes sense and, after trying it out on my Preliminary Swatch for the MHK program, I'm a convert! On to Swatch #1. I'll be checking out your other postings as I work through the program!🙂

It would be helpful to know where you're placing the pins (between stiches, in the knit stitch, in the purls of a rib, etc.) to avoid visible pin holes. I have really struggled with this. Thanks!

Thank you for this. This is the best explanation on how to actually block a knitted piece. I've been looking for something like this since I learned about blocking and it took Arenda Holladay recommending your blog post for me to find this video!

Do the swatches have to be knit to a certain size?

That lace pattern is really lovely. May I ask for a pattern reference, please, or must I wait until Level 2?

Do we weave in our ends before or after blocking?

    Thank-you!
I also found it in Lisl Fanderl's Bäuerliches Stricken, rosenheimer raritäten, n.d.

I weave them in before blocking but don't cut the tails until they are dry.
