  • Hi friends! Here's a quick Pattern Review of New Look Patterns N6697 and 6351. I made these patterns for the Sewn with New Look Challenge that was hosted by Minerva in January. However, I didn't get a chance to post it before the challenge ended. Watch the video and tell me your thoughts!

    Beautiful pieces. You sewed them well. I love them all and I loved the floral cotton sateen fabric. You inspired me!

    T...nice makes. I love that cotton sateen print. I think the deep hem in the jacket is to help it hang better. It gives it a little more weight at the bottom. So cute!

    I'm here for the me made suits! I like how you made a few skirts to pair with the jacket. That floral against the white is nice.

      Hi Missy! Thank you! I agree about the contrast between the floral and white. It's a nice piece.

    Oh Ms. Tea, why do you tease us with such gorgeous floral prints? You know some of us are floral print challenged! (Like me! 🙋🏾‍♀️) all of your pieces are very pretty on you especially your floral suit, I love that! You always give great details in your videos and thank you for sharing!

    The floral jacket with black skirt is so pretty. I am looking forward to seeing what else you create from these patterns! I find myself buying too many patterns and want to re-use patterns I already have instead of purchasing more!

    Thank you for sharing!!! I want to make this jacket it jean fabric, maybe line it and make it longer for winter. Let me know what you think. Thank you very much for showing us this. I love your top stitching idea too.

    • @crumpetsteaandsewing

      Jean/Denim may be too heavy for this style of jacket. Maybe a lightweight denim between 4- 5oz. But anything more may be too structured. Hope this helps

      @evelynreyes367 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@crumpetsteaandsewing thanks for the advice. You are right. A spring jacket, lightweight fabric is better.

    Your choice of fabrics for this pattern classed it up. I saw Tomcat Stitchery do this pattern too. It seems to be popular and I can see why.

    Good morning Tea!!! Love the looks. Great review as always, very detailed. We have similar body shape and I was wondering if you would showing us how you grade down patterns at the hip? Whenever I try to do this, the lines look weird.

    • @crumpetsteaandsewing
      @crumpetsteaandsewing  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Yolanda. Good day! Mostly I find free hand grading using a curve ruler to work best. Currently, I'm in the process of trying to buy a home and packing. So it's going to be hard to add more videos to the queue. But I'll try to get a few sew a-long videos going sometime this summer.
