- Hi friends! Here's a quick Pattern Review of New Look Patterns N6697 and 6351. I made these patterns for the Sewn with New Look Challenge that was hosted by Minerva in January. However, I didn't get a chance to post it before the challenge ended. Watch the video and tell me your thoughts!

Beautiful skirt and jacket! Floral print fabric is gorgeous!
Thank you! 😊
You did a beautiful job on that jacket. Fabric is very pretty.
Thank you 😁
Great job. I really want to buy New Look N6697.
Made these New look pants twice . Love them. So easy. Easy fit. I used a linen blend.
I like them! I'm glad you do too!
Beautiful pieces. You sewed them well. I love them all and I loved the floral cotton sateen fabric. You inspired me!
Hi Beverly! Thank you so much for your lovely comment! I'm glad to hear I was an inspiration.
Stunning outfit, your floral fabric is gorgeous and really suits you.🌹
Thank you 😊
T...nice makes. I love that cotton sateen print. I think the deep hem in the jacket is to help it hang better. It gives it a little more weight at the bottom. So cute!
Thank you! I've never noticed that. Thank you for sharing this!
Very pretty ensemble. Thank you so much for sharing that about the fabric bleeding. Always great to know It's gorgeous fabric.
You're welcome Sue! I'm thrilled you enjoyed today's video! Thanks for tuning in!
I like the black it looks beautiful
Thank you 😁
Cute makes
Thanks Sonya! Have a great sewing week!
I'm here for the me made suits! I like how you made a few skirts to pair with the jacket. That floral against the white is nice.
Hi Missy! Thank you! I agree about the contrast between the floral and white. It's a nice piece.
Really pretty makes, great idea to mix and match. All combinations were classy and beautiful. That floral fabric is stunning.
Thank you so much Bree!
Really liked that cotton saltine. It really looks good on you!
I love this as well
Loving the print!
It's gorgeous! Love it!
The 6351 is on my desk as I was watching your video. I love both garments. Beautiful!
Hi Diana! I hope you like the pattern. Let me know your thoughts on the jacket, if you make it.
So chic!!!
Thank you
Love your videos. Outfit was great
Hi Peggy! Thank you so much!
The floral fabric is beautiful! I love that you did the black lapel. These look amazing on you. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you! I was nervous to do the black contrast. Didn't know if it would look well. But I like it!
I was wowed 🔥🔥 you look gorgeous in those suits. They give you a beautiful hourglass figure. You did fabulous. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 luv them.
🤭🤗 thank you so much!
You look so sharp in this floral suit! That topstitching looks so nice on your jacket! I love all the variations of the skirt too.
Thank you Crystal! I think that extra topstitching step paid off. Thanks for watching!
Oh Ms. Tea, why do you tease us with such gorgeous floral prints? You know some of us are floral print challenged! (Like me! 🙋🏾♀️) all of your pieces are very pretty on you especially your floral suit, I love that! You always give great details in your videos and thank you for sharing!
Hi Myra! Thank you so much! It's good to hear from you! I hope all is well, and hope you're settling into your new place. Sending you hugs 🤗
@@crumpetsteaandsewing Thank you Ms. Tea! All settled in and getting a much needed rest after this long and tough move! Hope you’re well too!😘🤗
The floral jacket with black skirt is so pretty. I am looking forward to seeing what else you create from these patterns! I find myself buying too many patterns and want to re-use patterns I already have instead of purchasing more!
I love this idea of not buy more patterns, but reuse my patterns with other fabrics. Thank you!!!
You look beautiful in this outfit!
Thank you Audrey!
Thank you for sharing!!! I want to make this jacket it jean fabric, maybe line it and make it longer for winter. Let me know what you think. Thank you very much for showing us this. I love your top stitching idea too.
Jean/Denim may be too heavy for this style of jacket. Maybe a lightweight denim between 4- 5oz. But anything more may be too structured. Hope this helps
@@crumpetsteaandsewing thanks for the advice. You are right. A spring jacket, lightweight fabric is better.
Your topstitching is beautiful
Thank you 😁
I had made this jacket a while ago and the shoulders do come forward quite a bit but I liked mine also. Your outfit is lovely.
Hi Gwenervere! That's so good to know. Sometimes it's hard to know if it's your body shape or the pattern. Thanks so much for sharing this! Now I know 😁
Your choice of fabrics for this pattern classed it up. I saw Tomcat Stitchery do this pattern too. It seems to be popular and I can see why.
😁 thank you! It's a lovely pattern!
Love, love, love the print. Very pretty. I have the jacket pattern so I appreciate your comments. Thanks for sharing!
You're welcome! Thanks for watching 😁
I absolutely love that suit looks, very stunning on you,I will be making myself one.
Thank you Michelle!
Gorgeous makes, Tea! I’m going to look for that first pattern! 🤩💗
Hey Andra! It's a lovely pattern. I hope you e joy!
Good morning Tea!!! Love the looks. Great review as always, very detailed. We have similar body shape and I was wondering if you would showing us how you grade down patterns at the hip? Whenever I try to do this, the lines look weird.
Hi Yolanda. Good day! Mostly I find free hand grading using a curve ruler to work best. Currently, I'm in the process of trying to buy a home and packing. So it's going to be hard to add more videos to the queue. But I'll try to get a few sew a-long videos going sometime this summer.
So chic!!!
Thank you 😁
