- ICED MATCHA GREEN TEA LATTE
3 WAYS TO PREPARE & SERVE (no frills)
Pure Matcha
1 tsp = 2.5g
Recipe for 16oz cups
Pure Matcha 2 tsp (approx. 5g)
Water to dissolve 30-45ml
Milk 150ml
Sugar Syrup or Vanilla Syrup 15-30ml
Method #1 Using a Blender
Blend all the ingredients together with some ice
Pour over ice
Method #2 Using a Milk Frother
Using a tall glass -
Place matcha
30-45ml water
15-30ml sugar syrup or vanilla syrup
Blend using a milk frother
Ice in the cup
Pour the milk in
Pour matcha mix over milk
Method #3 Ceremonial Matcha
Sift matcha in a matcha bowl
Add 30-45ml water
Whisk until bubbly
Add sugar syrup
Whisk
Ice in the cup
Pour the milk in
Pour matcha mix over milk
Variations:
Replace sugar syrup with flavoured syrup like vanilla, hazelnut, caramel

I would say the milk frother way. Those are relatively cheap and lasts longer than bamboo whisks.
Which Starbucks did you go to? My local Starbucks have not changed the way that they make matcha. They use a 50/50 matcha/sugar powder, its too sweet and not that great
A Starbucks in Bangkok. Perhaps they have not yet rolled the 'Pure Matcha' version all over. Agree those drinks with scoops of matcha they use are not great. Hope they move to use of Pure Matcha...

You are not even whisking the matcha properly with the matcha bamboo whisk. Supposed to whisk in a figure, M or W motion until it forms a nice thick froth. Not round and round like you were doing.
I always say circular or W motions but you do you…😊
maybe you should learn how to properly whisk your ceremonial matcha before posting, this is disappointing
