Welcome back to the Foxhole. 🦊🤘🔥 Thanks for coming back with this song after your BND reaction, but you're missing the excitement of the crowd interaction, so make sure to check it out a live performance with live sound next time and you will really understand what's this group all about. Sometimes you'll get better experience watching some of their official MV, not always of course, some of those are "Megitsune", "Iine!" and "Doki Doki Morning", maybe "Karate" too, plus you'll meet the original formation, but like i said in this case it's better to experience this song for the first time with a live performance, especially Legend 1997 in 2013. Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!! is one of BabyMetal fans favorite and got special meaning too. Song is about a 15 years old girl celebrating her birthday going to her first live concert, probably metal, while having melancholy for leaving her childhood behind. Isn't about any of our girls but they embraced this song like it was made for them, you'll find many special versions of this, even when they celebrate their 20th Birthday, thou the usual and most cool version to react is the live at Legend 1997 when SuMetal is celebrating her 16th Birthday. 15 is an important coming of age for Japanese girls, 20 is another important date. The official MV is creepy for some fans, I guess the organ church gave that effect. The "Hedoban god" is representing the metal spirit and the girls are praising so the metal spirit of the neckbrace posses their bodies, you know, is metal after all, just remember we are -NotACult- The neckbrace here is a tribute to Yoshiki from X-Japan, he's songwriter, composer, pianist and drummer, he's a living legend and a true metal god among Japaneses, he hurts his neck while headbanging so hard during a live concert suffering serious injuries, he got a life of so much sadness and sacrifice but he's such a talented musician and artist, even Michael Jackson was a friend of him, so yeah he's big, that's why BabyMetal got a lot of tributes to him on early songs and live concerts. At the end of this you can see an easter egg with the red moon teasing another song called "Akatsuki" (a SuMetal solo), is another song with tribute to X-Japan, live at Budokan 2014 is one of the safest clip to react. Another song i like to recommend for first time watching an official MV is "Megitsune" because of the Japanese visual elements unlike some live versions which contains certain parts I don't like the spoilers, such the intro. But of course live is a blast like the rest of their songs. Try "Catch Me If You Can" live at Budokan 2014 if you want another "creepy" and fun song (GuilhermeCait channel got a safe version to react) or "Ijime, Dame, Zettai" live at Sonisphere Festival 2014 (careful with the official live, put a watermarked logo, opacity or translucent effect) And no, she's not the one doing those growling, she's shouting at the end thou. None of the Kami Band or anyone relevant is credited for the growling parts, except for certain songs like Distortion after 2019 and more recently the new official member doing some growlings when performing live in certain songs. There's another special live version you can see at "Legend M" 2019 when MoaMetal's is celebrating her 20th Birthday which is next week (July 4th). MomoMetal also got her own special version of this song at "Legend MM" performed last March during her last night having 20 yo, there's a slight difference in the lyrics as well the dance choreo you'll notice if you're BM fan or speak Japanese. lol Next suggestion: - Road Of Resistance live in Japan official MV (2015). If you wanna learn a BM dance choreo i suggest you Mari Mariana also from Brazil, she's the best teacher.👍💃 See you next time 🦊🤘🔥
man I really appreciate you guys here on my comments, I'm learning A LOT and I'm on my way to take a look at all this content for sure! You can be sure there will be more BabyMetal this week here haha And I will search for Mari, I love the choreoooooo
I speak Spanish and English, watching a Brazilian guy reacting to a Japanese band, it’s incredible how the music has no language barriers, specially if it’s from BABYMETAL ❤
@@LucasReactStudio haha I actually understand 80% of what you say bc Spanish and Portuguese are similar language 😊 I’m glad you’re enjoying their music, I discovered that band 2 months ago and I’m a true fan right now, hope you can react to more songs, the new ones and also more of their earlier stuff(specially the song called “Babymetal deeath” -the double ee is just to censor the word-) from the legend 1997 concert and also the special versions of this same song Headbanger where Moa takes the lead to singing it due to celebrate her 20th birthday in 2019 and the same with the version of Momo(6 months ago in march 2024) There are some videos that are compilations, we always recommend to avoid those videos because those videos have footage from multiple concerts and they may trick you so you wouldn’t understand what really happens, so I’m gonna attach you the links of the correct videos that contain the right footage of those concerts(be careful with the copyright, use strong filters to avoid copy strikes) This is the video from Moa version th-cam.com/video/MToMx6RCW-M/w-d-xo.htmlsi=3ZUJvApGuohNx2Vj And this is the video for Momo version th-cam.com/video/19nntDDbYdg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=oMBGDQPz93Z1RDkW Save them somewhere so when you decide to react to them you’ll already have the right links! Take care bro keep enjoying BM songs! Subscribing right now! ❤️🦊
Good one, thanks! This music video is pretty funny, at least to me, haha... As everyone already mentioned, they are even better live. Since you are going to see them live, this is a plausible 8-song setlist (45 minutes aprox. as an opening act): 1. BABYMETAL DEATH 2. Distortion 3. PA PA YA! 4. Megitsune 5. METALI! (w. Kami Band solos) 6. RATATATA 7. Gimme Chocolate 8. Road of Resistance Enjoy the show! 🤘🦊
Great reaction. I hope you will watch a live version as well (live at Legend 1997 - Su-metal's 16th birthday concert in Dec 2013 posted by abr metal is a good one). 'Headbanger' is about a girl going to her first concert on her 15th birthday, but 15 is significant in Japan as compulsory education also ends, so the girl is realising life will never be the same. She is having to grow up, she will no longer be considered just a child and her first 15 years passed so quickly, so she etching this special night into her heart so she will never forget. The neck brace is an homage to X Japan's founder, drummer, pianist and main composer Yoshiki who needed surgery after damaging his neck headbanging. BABYMETAL have used the neck brace a lot in their lore - they've even had at least 4 concerts where everybody in the audience had to wear one: - first time was for the official release of the single early in 2012, teir first solo concerts at the Rock May Kan in Tokyo (capacity about 150); - next was Red Night at the Budokan in Tokyo (capacity about 12-15,000 I think) on 1st March 2014 as they released the first album - next two times - both nights at the Tokyo Dome (capacity 55,000) in 2016 where they played a completely different set each night - all the songs from the first two albums. There are other versions of 'Headbanger' from special occasions as well. The Legend D concert in December 2012 for Su-metal's own 15th birthday and the Legend 1997 concert in December 2013 celebrating Su-metal's 16th birthday both started with a (very obviously and deliberately lip-synced) dance remix version ('Headbanger - Night of 15 Re-Mix'). At concerts on or near their own 15th birthdays in 2014 Yui (in Paris) and Moa (in Cologne) took over lead vocals for 'Headbanger' half way through when Su handed them the mic and stand - she took their place in the choreo. Only fancam videos exist for those performances. The same thing happened in 2019 at the Legend M concert celebrating Moametal's 20th birthday (20 is (or was) the official age of majority in Japan). Moa once again took over lead vocals after Su handed her the mic and stand - and the lyrics were changed to "...this special night of my 20th...". Most recently in March this year at the Legend MM concerts celebrating Momometal's 21st birthday we got her version on the day before her 21st (she was not an official member the year before so she did it to mark the last day when she was still 20).
omg this is overhelming, I will take a look at the live version as you said! Hope this is as cool as studio and if you didn't said about the neck brace I would never know about it, really
👍👍Great MV. 🦊 🖖❤
