Dear Mr Wakeman, I don't suppose you take the time to read these comments, but I just wanted to say that you are by far my favorite pianist of all time, and one of the most influential songwriters I've ever enjoyed. Stay happy and healthy sir. Hope these words get to you.
I heard it on an FM radio station, they were very progressive back then! Then in my freshman year of college Yes was HOT, that was ‘72. I saw Yes that year then saw Wakeman twice afterwards. He did Arthur in Cols, Oh & I saw that show & just WOW! I still remember!
@@swyman10 Did you listen to his "Six Wives of Henry the Eighth"? He borrowed and adapted some of them into his later works like King Arthur and Center of the Earth, different lyrics and some slight variations, but you'd recognize them.
@@captainnerd6452 oh yea! He had a solo during the Yes concert where he played selections from Henry. That’s how I learned of him! Yes was promoting Close To the Edge on that tour, it was 1 of my all time favorite concerts. I think it was at the old French Field House on the campus of The Ohio State University, I lived in a dorm there, we walked to the concert. LOL, that was a long time ago...
Journey to the Centre of the Earth, Myths and Legends of the Knights of the Round Table, Tales of Mystery and Imagination, Tubular Bells,Oxygene, Night at the Opera, Day at the Races were the first albums I ever bought. Upon a New Years' Day a host of knights did pray....in my court please be near....the Last Battle soon to be Lost! Huge Fan.
Thank you Rick for a look behind the scenes. And what interesting character Patrick Stewart has. From locutus of Borg to the Center of the Earth, truly amazing.
I was fortunate to get a copy of the original “ Return on vinyl when it was released back in 1999. What a master piece. I have been fortunate enough to see him twice, Jacksonville, Fl and Milwaukee, WI. Thank you Rick for sharing these trivia epics from years past. God Bless.
Dear Rick☆, every time your hands touch the key, the sounds that you have invented touch my soul♡ ..... This is an invisible, but such a strong and beautiful connection ... Out of thousands and thousands of musicians, you cannot be confused with anyone. Thanks for the music. With love from Ukraine. 💛💙✌
I've played the original release of _"Return..."_ a few times since you've announced the new deluxe/expanded edition. Great album! As was the original _"The Journey to the Centre of the Earth"._

I can still remember where I was when I first heard The Journey To The Centre Of The Earth. Never have I heard such wonderful music. Thank you Rick
I heard a version on the old King Biscuit Flour Hour on WOKI FM back in the 70's.

♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Sorry, I'm confused, this appears to be 22 years old but there's a Ticketmaster release date of the 3rd April? Is it a new remaster?
Patrick Stewart was perfect for this. Mind you, David Hemmings and Peter Egan were perfect too. Thank God you didn't do your own narration 😜
Maybe he should do a Rick Wakeman narrative and do it Monty Python Style
Is Rick okay? His weight loss is troubling, in a way.
In this video? This is a video from 1999, back when _"Return To The Centre Of The Earth"_ was released.
