  • Straight to the chase review for anyone interested in an electric line trimmer, the AEG is pretty good and I’d buy it again. I purchased the “Skin only” as I already have other AEG tools, batteries and the charger.
    What I like about it:
    - Electric power convenience
    - Click the battery in and it’s ready to go
    - Quieter than petrol trimmers
    - Very easy to pick up and use
    - Came with line already fitted
    - Uses same batteries as my other AEG tools
    - Light weight, not much hassle to carry
    I hope this helps anyone interested in trying an electric trimmer, for the purpose of general use around the house the AEG 18v is unreal.
    Cheers!

    Hey, i just bought one these trimmers. Love it also. But can't get an answer from AEG or a Bunnings member, about replacement cord. The cord it came with is really good.
    Do you buy just a spool of cord or do you have to buy the whole head with cord in it @$47 ?
    I thought you might know seeing i can't get an answer elsewhere.
    Cheers 🙂

    • @shaelui
      @shaelui  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Karen, nah you don’t have to buy the whole head with cord no just go to Bunnings (or any mower shop) and buy the a roll of line itself. They range from under $10 for 50m up to like $30 for the premo stuff. I’ll do a video how to put more line on the head too. Hope this helps

      @@shaelui thanks so much. The cord supplied by AEG is really good. It hasn't snapped and broken like the stuff I've used before. My petrol trimmer died recently which i had fitted the Weed Whacker plastic blades & head to. But i love the AEG Trimmer.

      Hey mate sorry about the late reply, yeah still going good still enjoying using it! Still using a 5ah battery, haven’t needed to upgrade to a 6 or 9ah yet. Our yard isn’t massive though, getting around 15-18mins run time at a guess 😎

    Hey great video! What’s the battery run time?

    • @shaelui
      @shaelui  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey mate, for our yard I use one 5ah battery on the low power setting and get around 15-18mins or so run time. Just a rough estimate, our grass isn’t too thick and quite easy to trim though.
      I haven’t needed to upgrade the battery to a 6 or 9ah yet if that helps give you an idea 😎

      @MisterM9 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@shaelui appreciate the reply. Might have to get a bigger battery because I have buffalo grass which is quite thick might chew up the battery run time a bit quicker. Cheers bro

    • @shaelui
      @shaelui  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@MisterM9 ah yeah, I’d definitely consider the 6 at least or the 9ah. I’ve got 2 x 5ah batteries because I already had AEG tools so I bought the trimmer skin only. I’m happy with the trimmer itself does the job and just so easy to wack a battery in and away you go

      Couldn’t tell ya mate, I don’t have any experience with any other brands to compare.
      I bought the AEG Trimmer because I already have other AEG tools including batteries & the charger so it was easy to add this trimmer to my existing tool kit.
