Learning to ride in sand with my CRF300L Rally
I'm fairly new to riding, about 12hrs of total experience. Decided to spend the afternoon riding down the beach to practice in the sand, despite a couple of spills I think it was a success!
I had to consciously trust the idea of leaning all the way back and not fighting the front tyre to keep straight, to relax and just keep on the throttle. After a minute or so doing this I got the hang of it and it was an awesome feeling to be riding in soft sand along the beach. I felt safe sticking to 3rd and keeping the revs up, it worked and I'd ride like that again in that type of sand.
Also, I'd changed the tyres earlier that day to a Pirelli MT21 front and Dunlop D606 rear as well as the 42T rear sprocket, this combination works great for the 300L, it actually improved fuel economy! This will be another video review soon!
Thanks for watching!

EP.2 - Catch & Cook: Bream Thai Green Curry & Rice in Gladstone (QLD)

Cooking crispy skin Salmon with my Jetboil Flash & pot support

Trying new ways of cooking outdoors, I'm really enjoying the catch & cook videos on TH-cam and the simplicity/minimalism of hiking cooking so I decided to buy the Jetboil Pot Support. Got the Gas burner as an alternative to the alcohol burner, “in case I am in an area that doesn’t allow alcohol burners.” The gasser seems to simmer a bit better, though the “incendiary Swedish doorknob” does alright with care and practice. Note that in my case, I anticipate at least 4/5 use when the power goes out and I need to cook, and maybe an occasional meal when traveling.
