For all the people who cannot travel, I say “Thank you” to you both for showing us properties we would normally never see, and sharing your world, in such an entertaining way.
Anne, you are so cute in your opening disclaimer “before” entering through the gate. I just love your channel…..positive, hard working and VERY talented. Your “MAGIC OF THE CAMERA” and show casing Ed is wonderful narration teamwork on the fly!
It would be nice to return sometime in the future and have you talk to the new owners about their vision for the place. So much potential sitting there, frozen in time. I really appreciate you making this (and other properties) available for the entire world to ponder. Thank you both 🙏 Cheers from Canada
I am sure it could be a quirky farm style beauty if someone has the skills or r finances to have workmen come in to restore!! At 76 years and tired…my creative pursuits are inhibited but my desire to restore is as sharp as ever!!! You all carry on and bring all the rich histories back for me !!!❤❤❤
It's incredible to watch renovations in France and other countries in Europe because you save buildings that would absolutely be demolished and replaced in the US. This property would definitely be torn down here, but the land would be worth a LOT. You didn't mention how much land was included, but land in my area is so valuable right now they're selling half an acre or less for 80-90k on average! It seems from watching many vlogs that building techniques and materials in Europe are made to last far longer than in the US. We use wood for nearly everything for instance, like framing, floors and walls; add that to asphalt or metal roofing and vinyl siding in most cases and our homes are almost disposable in comparison. It's kind of a shame if you think about it, so I'm in awe of how well yours are built and amazed thinking about how some have been standing hundreds of years-older the US has existed sometimes!!!
I agree Ana. I would bring the arch back. I would say it costs somewhere about €670,000. It has a ton of potential. I have a visionary eye for buildings like that. My house was a shell and people asked why would I buy this house and as always I would say I don’t see what you see. I see it finished with beautiful flooring, different divisions, better and bigger windows. They say I just see a dump. When I finished my house people couldn’t believe it was the same house. One person actually asked me if I had torn down the old house to build this one. It just seemed so much bigger when I finished it. Everyone that sees my home really loves it. The same with my home in Florida. I should have been an architect and interior designer. I think I missed my calling. LOL.
I love this property. I would love to see it renovated. For some reason, I felt very drawn to this property and could see myself living there. This is one of my favorite tours of an abandoned home that could be brought back to life. thanks for sharing. ❤❤❤
Thank you Ed and Anna for showing us these properties, as a few people have commented, there are a lot of us who do not travel and you open up another world to us. That property does have a lot of potential. Have a lovely day.
To another commenter who says ‘those who cannot travel’, an agree 100%. I do NOT travel abroad - watching these videos are a godsend! Thank you Edd and Anna x
Edd and Anna, I LOVE when you show other properties that are on the market in France! I keep joking with my kids, that we're going to buy a place based on the ones Edd has shown us and THEY can all live there but they will need to do the reno! I mean, sons a plumber and one son in law is a carpenter so, why not 😂😂
@girlnorthof60 I doubt they would go 🤣🤣 son does fire suppression sprinkler systems and son in law ha recently been diagnosed with a congenital back disease so he can't do the same fantastic wood working that he did in the film industry!!
This property holds significant potential, but it requires a visionary mindset to appreciate its possibilities. While it does lack natural light, this reflects the architectural choices typical of its time.
I'm guessing it's around the 150-200k euro mark. Difficult to see how the house might flow without a floorplan, but from the vid - incorporating the stable block and the living area is certainly beyond my imagination. Interested to see if you go for it and what you might come up with.
Have no idea as for the cost. But my heart is doing the pitter patter with excitement. I can see sooooo much potential. Big job but wow!!! What glory it could be turned into.
If you open the archway.. you could put in a balcony outside with an entrance to the upstairs of the barn making a caretakers apartment there. So when the internet goes down you would have carrier pigeons!
Edd I’d say 200,000 for the hole lot? Well more if those vines are included. Could be a really cool mix of modern & historic details if redone. Loved it! Cheers Kirk
For barns in France they range from €8k to €80K and land around €255 per sqm. The area though is expensive and wouldn't be surprised if it went for €350k. It would be a nice project and i would open that arch up and have like an artist studio space in the hay loft.
It has huge potential I think depending on the land size and access in and out and if there is a natural water source $1.5 million aussy dollars and then the Reno budget is skies the limit. It would be home/ business. Being a potter, I would use the stables as a making studio and another space for the kilns, close to home for overnight kiln supervision, and out door space for pit firings. Probably a space for a gallery and packing area. I'd make my own floor tiles for the home kitchen. Fun to dream ......thanks Ann and Ed.
Hello Edd and Anna! And here we go again, is this going to be Edd and Anna's next Passion Project? Stay tuned!🐝 So far one thumbs up👍I love the parquet flooring, put a couple of coats of Osmo on it and it would be beautiful.€350 thousand?
I think it would be an exciting AND expensive reno-but would look gorgeous when finished. I think of all the beautiful barn conversions in the UK and can see that same kind of transformation in that place. Agree with others, pay price for the land because the cost of the reno is going to be 300+ euros.
If you restored this property I would definitely make the fireplace in the kitchen a working fireplace. I would keep the horse stalls on the bottom but remove the rear barn that is attached on the exterior. The place does need a enclosed garage so decide which end would get that.
20:12 not a stables surely, Ed - looks like the classic layout of an old dairy barn to me. The cows were milked whilst they fed from a trough between the partitions, and the gutter beneath their tail end carries away the waste products. But I'd happily agree that this was actually for sea-horses if I could get you to stop calling wooden floor boards bloody "parquet"!!! 🤪😂 Edit: no I think I was mistaken - the hay racks (filled from storage on the floor above) could suggest horses, or cows. I had thought the metal pipe was a vacuum line but not so sure now. 😐
it has a good spirit for the time it has been not lived in :) nice big rooms. the kitchen is a disaster that need whole reworking and the all the staircases I remove and make a grand entrance with the idea you had Glass door window and an out area :)
I’m having a DeJa Vu moment! I seem to be having a flashback of seeing this video before but I believe it was a similar video of a large home and it had some kind of tanks in one of the buildings.
So interesting how they had the barn and house attached. I’m not familiar with any historical structures in the USA quite like that! Always interesting to see the places you find!!
Nice to see you guys getting out . I thought that the main buildings beams were very good and that the beams on the outside need some TLC but it has great potential for someone to invest in . Could grow grapes could cultivate to pay for some improvements Thanks for taking time to show us .
The state of the building, the land are worth more than the house/barn. I could see both arches opened up and a two-story solarium/sunroom built on the back.
Bonjour Anna and Edd, ok I have no vision for this property at all, I think bringing in an architect would be a good start for me anyway. The back barn I would remove, it's not original to the structure and a really nice outdoor eating and kitchen would look good there, maybe a pool as well. Anyway, keep us posted if it sells and if it isn't you. I enjoyed the walk through; it is exciting looking at things from the past. Love from N.Y.
With all the walls of stone, cement block and brick, it would be some work to have all the rooms communicate with each other and to add a few windows, but the structure looks solid. I would hope that planning permission would be given easily to do major renovations.
I like the way you find so many positives in a property that looks so awkward and dilapidated. I'd be interested to see if you purchase it and how you would develop it..
Basically it is a series of big attached barns and as such I wouldnt pay more than about 50,000 euros as there isnt a square inch that doesnt need restituting
Not horses, Ed - dairy cattle. That galvanised pipe running horizontally above the stalls is the suction pipe for a 1950's "round-the-parlour" milking system. The bulk tank would have been in the central portion between the two wings of the byre, with the door for the churns to be taken out or a pipe leading out to the milk tanker.
Thanks - I had not even thought of that!! When you think of dairy production these days it’s huge….. I bet back in the day it was all small local places like this!
My gosh, I would really like to live here, do my music here... the renovacion would be fun work. Absolute beauty. I would love to know about the listing. Stonking good place...
Please send an email via our website www.frenchweddingchateau.com and we can do better than give you the listing, we can give you the owners number (saving lots of money!)
If you could convince Phil to leave Bailleuil this could be a new start for him. If not is a great property for a family as well. Even I can feel the potential how much acreage one could have with a place like this or the previous one you showed us. It's not a chateau it could be a lovely manor home if done right. Just have to have a 3rd of the vision you have Edd :) I say they should sell for 15- 20k no more because of the sheer amount of work will need to be done to set it back up will need at least half million at least.
For all the people who cannot travel, I say “Thank you” to you both for showing us properties we would normally never see, and sharing your world, in such an entertaining way.
If you know who buys it, tell them they need to a vlog channel so we can all see ! 😍
Amazing property !!!

This has “I need Edd and Ana’s hope help and hard work “ written all over it. Thank you for another wonderful video.
My dream. Equestrian villa. My dream restoration for my pet horses. ❤
The metal plaque on the wall says Nivellement General, it is the French equivalent of a Bench Mark in UK.
I love this property. I would love to see it renovated. For some reason, I felt very drawn to this property and could see myself living there. This is one of my favorite tours of an abandoned home that could be brought back to life. thanks for sharing. ❤❤❤
The quiet, peaceful location is priceless.
Buy it ! Don’t know how much it would sell for but its location and views make the potential huge
Yes. Bring arch back!
Ohhhhh myyyyyyy
I lovvvvvvvveeeee this....ohhhhhh the things you could do with this property....Ed and Anna this is your diamond in the ruff....
Thanks for sharing it would be a lovely property to renovate for someone Thankyou Anna and Edd❤
It has potential but will take someone with a vision. Beautiful property.
haha Vison good, money No ? :) 😏
Thank you Ed and Anna for showing us these properties, as a few people have commented, there are a lot of us who do not travel and you open up another world to us. That property does have a lot of potential. Have a lovely day.
I'll be following it from start to finish, just like the other projects. Whoever painted this interior really liked the Ukrainian flag.
No idea what it will sell for, but I'd follow its being renovated!
Great fixer upper project…..has huge potential!
To another commenter who says ‘those who cannot travel’, an agree 100%.
I do NOT travel abroad - watching these videos are a godsend! Thank you Edd and Anna x
Why NOT!?
Way beyond my novice immature understands of a possility of a new project.. I love the way you encourage one another in your observations.
Wow…that is a huge space…lots of opportunities
Missing seeing your floral work Anna!
What a wonderful project! And may I say Anna you are very brave.
Edd and Anna, I LOVE when you show other properties that are on the market in France! what...?! You've been holding out on me, Merrilee. Send them both to the Yukon... pretty please 🙏
@girlnorthof60 I doubt they would go 🤣🤣 son does fire suppression sprinkler systems and son in law ha recently been diagnosed with a congenital back disease so he can't do the same fantastic wood working that he did in the film industry!!
@@merrileeheard3889 well, don't say I didn't try... 😂 We're just coming out of a -47 cold snap, so I wouldn't blame them for staying on the coast. 💖x

One good thing it hasn’t been vandalised just showing its neglect. Would make a good project for someone to invest in with a lot of land too.
Have no idea as for the cost. But my heart is doing the pitter patter with excitement. I can see sooooo much potential. Big job but wow!!! What glory it could be turned into.
I see the huge potential bill, too.
If you open the archway.. you could put in a balcony outside with an entrance to the upstairs of the barn making a caretakers apartment there. So when the internet goes down you would have carrier pigeons!
What an amazing property
nice property the view from there is good as well, definitely for someone to put there own stamp on
Edd I’d say 200,000 for the hole lot? Well more if those vines are included. Could be a really cool mix of modern & historic details if redone. Loved it! Cheers Kirk
That was my guess as well. I think the only vines that belong with it are the dead ones he pointed out when he first entered the property.
It looks cleaner than your 2nd project.
For barns in France they range from €8k to €80K and land around €255 per sqm. The area though is expensive and wouldn't be surprised if it went for €350k. It would be a nice project and i would open that arch up and have like an artist studio space in the hay loft.

Happy exploring. That would be a HUGE project.
Hi Louis!❤❤❤
I would love to see you Edd and Anne…get this unit…a new journey!
On to the next reno! ♥️♥️♥️
Looks like an awesome project. Cant wait to see it finished.
Pretty views, huge project! Thank you for showing it. ❤
Hello Edd and Anna! And here we go again, is this going to be Edd and Anna's next Passion Project? Stay tuned!🐝 So far one thumbs up👍I love the parquet flooring, put a couple of coats of Osmo on it and it would be beautiful.€350 thousand?
Only what the land is worth!!
Yes, inside a illage, the price with or withoiut barn is often the same.
I think it would be an exciting AND expensive reno-but would look gorgeous when finished. I think of all the beautiful barn conversions in the UK and can see that same kind of transformation in that place. Agree with others, pay price for the land because the cost of the reno is going to be 300+ euros.
Smooth camera skills Anna threading through the gate 😉 Very rustic estate; must have been a working farm as there is nothing luxe anywhere.
The large arched door way are typical for stables.
Thumbs Up before I've even watched it 😊
If you restored this property I would definitely make the fireplace in the kitchen a working fireplace. I would keep the horse stalls on the bottom but remove the rear barn that is attached on the exterior. The place does need a enclosed garage so decide which end would get that.

Nope, 3rd thought is cattle: those drinkers are for cows, and horse boxes have high walls to stop biting and bullying!
I thought it looked more like diary than for horses also.
I'm sure that galvanised pipe is the vacuum line. I had also made this comment before scrolling on down this far, to find you had already said it!
I think this property would have to be at a discount for anyone to afford to fix it up. Louie, you are the man who should buy it!
This place would make a great restaurant/ bar and b'n'b..... beautiful land heaps of parking.. beautiful event centre 😊
Edd loves being right 😂❤🇦🇺
Always!
it has a good spirit for the time it has been not lived in :) nice big rooms. the kitchen is a disaster that need whole reworking and the all the staircases I remove and make a grand entrance with the idea you had Glass door window and an out area :)
24:12 Gardening shed for lawn and maintenance equipment.
Maybe a greenhouse.
Those interior doors are so beautiful .
Good morning from the SF Bay Area. Wow, I love it! It is rustic and charming. I'm sure you can work wonders with it.
ED, my guess would be 500K +. I love how Anna and European say "Cheeky".
This reminds me of some of the renovation projects in Portugal. What a great project.
Love these videos!
I’m having a DeJa Vu moment! I seem to be having a flashback of seeing this video before but I believe it was a similar video of a large home and it had some kind of tanks in one of the buildings.
That was a chateau in the country with a courtyard but there are so many places like this!
So interesting how they had the barn and house attached. I’m not familiar with any historical structures in the USA quite like that! Always interesting to see the places you find!!
In very good condition. It will make an excellent project!
Anna&Edd loved the video thank you😊
2 million to referb it to quality standards.
Could be a good renovation projet , it's not to much bad conditions, go on🍀
Looking very spiffy today,Edd;))
Nice to see you guys getting out . I thought that the main buildings beams were very good and that the beams on the outside need some TLC but it has great potential for someone to invest in . Could grow grapes could cultivate to pay for some improvements Thanks for taking time to show us .
Looks like Minions lived there with that color scheme
Great vlog ❤

Great project to make into a bed and breakfast.
Fascinating!
Looks amazing ❤
Gorgeous

The land is worth whatever the going price is. The land is beautiful. Don't know if I would attempt the house. Build a new one...
You guys are delightful
I was getting excited because I thought you were going to purchase it!
Basically it is a series of big attached barns and as such I wouldnt pay more than about 50,000 euros as there isnt a square inch that doesnt need restituting
Loved it ❤
17:33 , nivellement général de la France ( NGF ) , pour mesurer l'altitude déterminée par nivellement .
No more than 100.000 + 250.000 to self renovate. Worth 450 -550000
Know the place. Nice village
That was fun
Definitely needs someone with renovation skills. Know anyone? 😂😍😘
You should buy it because you could make it more beautiful than it originally was.
Place has good bones and lots of potential! Could be multi-family or part air bnb etc! I am thinking its probably around 400K euros.
I would be tempted to keep much of the stall area and have a couple horses.
I know you have the vision for this project. I will wait and see... 🤗
Edd found his next one!!!
Suggest spray bottle with the softener. Solution

Cow, not horses. Dairy, maybe even a creamery.
