      Bro-fessor, I've been using this for a few years now with Win10 on Straight Talk with Verizon sim. As soon as I recently switched to ATT sim (I get better signal with ATT at my house) the TTL hack no longer worked. My wife has same phone as me (LG V40) but still with Verizon sim and no problem with TTL hack. So, AT&T may be using other method for sniffing out Hotspot usage. I now use "Netshare No-Root-Tethering" by Netshare Softwares, an Android app which casts your mobile data to your PC via Wifi Direct (much like casting your Android screen to your Smart TV via Wifi Direct) and I get all the Hotspot I need. The only downside is some apps and progs are not compatible with Wifi Direct, such as Torrent apps like BitComet. Also, you cannot cast Mobile Data to a Smart TV yet (unless it has the option to change to a Proxy, like on a PC). Other than that, no need for regular Hotspot anymore. All the downloading and streaming to my PC I want.

    Have you considered running your phone to your pc and then using your pc as a router to connect to your xbox and other consoles?

    • @jasonbrown467
      @jasonbrown467  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      in one of my networks i do that sort of, but a little more than that. on one of my networks i have a rooted phone that masks ttl on the fly on the phone its self, then that feeds via wlan into a windows 7 laptop pc, that windows 7 laptop then is setup with "ics" host and i have that set to share its wifi connection to the ethernet port on that laptop, then the ethernet port from the laptop goes to a wan port on a router, then the router has its own wifi it broadcasts and also built in switch that feeds a 24 port gigabit swtich, that switch feeds the whole house with ethernet and another router in the basement that has its dhcp service turned off to just be a "access point" in my basement.
